ok i have a foot tattoo.. and when i got it i was told that the depth is the width a nickel normally but only the width of a dime... be careful

I love you guys more than anything but as a former tattoo artist I'm deeeeeeply not-okay with this video. It's SO SO dangerous, not just a fun silly activity. The risk of staph infections (which can be lethal) and other blood borne pathogens is so so high. That uncovered fabric, being in each other's laps, an unsterile environment, pets in the home (I believe), and so much more. And that doesn't even touch the "at the same time," no training, and placement.
We have to go through certification, and health education, and so much more to do it. This was so much more dangerous than I think either of you could have ever known or realized but PLEASE make it known that this should never ever ever be done. I hope/ am glad you're both safe but I cannot state how lucky you guys got.
I know you care about your audience and each other but please please don't do this again or encourage anyone else to.
They aren't telling anyone to do this and Sharon does even say don't try this at home. Did you even watch it? Also, no one used to have to be told not to do things that are obviously dangerous such as this, it's just common sense. Not their fault if people are dumb and actually do their own ink without training. But then again, you do realize how many people do ink on themselves or others in less sanitary conditions than they are in here right? Get a grip geez....
@vermontvoice13 Most people who do that actually DON'T realize how life-threatening it can be. They believe it's only "dumb enough" to do bc you might end up with something you hate or that's poorly done. In my time in tattooing, you'd be shocked what people do and don't know when it comes to even just healing their ink, let alone doing it. Only to end up in the hospital. I care about their lives, and I won't be made to feel bad for that.
I am not upset, just deeply worried. You yourself say that no one should have needed to be told not to do this bc it's obvious...yet they did. You called them dumb and I don't think they're dumb, just didn't realize how insanely lucky they got. Just bc someone says don't do it doesn't mean people won't. Again, _they_ did, and are bright, sensible women. And, just bc people do it in even less sanitary conditions doesn't mean this was alright or that those people didn't lose a limb, go into a coma, become disabled, or lose their lives. Again, I greatly care about them and I won't feel bad for that.

🤦🏼♀️ Why a PERMANENT tattoo?? 🤔 Why not just a drawing on each other with colored markers?? 🤷🏼♀️ I mean, less painful.. if you don't like it, you can simply wash it off.. 🤦🏼♀️ this was a VERY BAD idea.
Or, IF they choose to go that route, better considered of a henna tat.
