- Bryce from Diamondback put together an amazing day for Seth and me in Washington. He let us ride the brand new Mission Pro and shuttled us around to some great trails and even a new trail that isn't quite open yet. This trip is gonna be fun!

I have so much respect for people who know their limits and have no problem with taking a safer route or even just walking the bike around.
I love the fact that you are having a "mental battle" there - I'm the same, and it's great that you are not scared to admit it 👍👍👍😀😀😀
You can't pretend to be someone you aren't when you do 3 videos a week on CZcams.
BKXC yeah and in my case I can't afford to hurt myself as a musician and music teacher...I need my limbs to work 😂😂
I really like the way that one day I'm watching it from Seth's perspective, and then yours. Simple, yet effective concept.
Nice!
America is so beautiful 😃👍
It is! Where are you from man?
I laughed so hard when he said " see how this red rocket rides ".
I was there first time today and i feel you man, those trails can be intimidating. Great video as always..!
Sweet trails up here for sure! Also what's really cool are all the volunteers who take the time to keep trails free from brush, dead fall and open for use. Keep riding and keeping our trails beautiful!
Yeah, they work HARD to keep those trails dialed!
It's so comforting to know that even a BEAST on the bike like yourself is still battling with jumps. Makes us mere mortals feel a little better about our inefficiencies. Ride on!
I'm just another chucklefuck out there struggling!
Nice to see you riding some of my favorite trails at Duthie Hill! Excellent.
At around the 4 minute mark with those gap jumps you definitely had the speed. You should do a weekend of Seth teaching you jumps haha. Another awesome video mate.
Thanks Rik!
Rik Allen nah, need Phil teaching both of them. He is a DH racer after all.
True, i think Seth is very good at realistic sized jumps is all haha.
That trail they rode was Gravy Train, it's built to be an intro to gap jumps before you tackle some of the bigger stuff in the park. It's almost impossible to ride that trail and be going slow enough to case those jumps, it truly is just mental. I've seen BKXC roll through some rock gardens I'm scared of so I know he's got it in him!
so to cool to see a newly made track. Can also see the endless man hours it takes. great work!!!!
Serious man hours!!
wow Brian you are definitely living the dream! I love watching your videos as I start my weekly grind. I hear so much good stuff about the Pacific Northwest dirt, I have to take a few days off one of these days and do a road trip up there.
DO IT! Lots of great stuff up here, we only scratched the surface
Those trails look amazing
That looks like so much fun! Great video as usual Brian!
Thanks!!
Totally love those trails! They would be something I would love to ride!
Loved this vid man. The fact that you aren't busting double back flips and hitting those gaps makes this super relatable. Totally fun looking dirt!
Haha maybe some day!
Woah, these trails are freaking amazing. I sometimes wish I could just stop what I'm doing here, hop on a plane and ride those trails you ride. So beautiful.
Also, I really enjoy seeing you with Seth and/ or Alex, you guys have great chemistry and are an all around amazing bunch.
Keep it up!
Edit: I love seeing people just getting together in groups, having a good time. Everyone seems so chill, so positive. I love it.
Thanks Marc, it's all about getting you guys fired up and out exploring the wild world! It was a great group to ride with, everyone was super cool and friendly and no one was too cool for school.
i love your attitude as long as your riding your having a blast keep up the good video bkxc
Thanks Matt!
Man! thanks for showing such an amazing location!
My pleasure dude!
Everyone of these trails looks amazing, keep the videos coming
They were!!
Gotta love the Pacific Northwest! I never got the opportunity to bike up there when I lived in Vancouver back in 2005, but I do miss all the scenery and the lifestyle it offers. Thanks for another amazing video Brian.
Glad you enjoy them David!
Going to duthie Hill this summer ! So excited!
Sweet!
that was awesome! makes me want to ride up there even more.
Fantastic!
Le terrain est super merci pour le partage 👍🏻
Sick trail man!...Great job B!
Thanks bud!!
Wow, those were some sweet bikes & trails.
Big time!
F-Yeah!! I'm as green as those ferns with envy! Live it boys and thx for taking us along.
Hahaha, thanks bud!
So awesome that you guys got to ride with Mike Hopkins. Such a good rider. Keep it up, Brian. Getting to ride with all these great riders will only make you better with all the little things you'll learn and pick up from them. Soon you'll be sending those jumps with ease and confidence.
He was a pretty cool dude!! I agree about riding with great riders
Wow! What an awesome opportunity to ride a brand new trail. Love the bushwacking at the end. lol! Thank you.
Hahaha, lots of bush!
pretty cool to see you stay positive and have fun despite the mental battles! No doubt you will soon be sending it too!
Gonna try my best! I think this channel is all about the journey. If I ever become a great jumper or build a great business or just flame out people can always look back at the old videos and see how it all went down, day by day.
So I just wanted to thank you, dude. I had my first genuine trail experience today. Rode a rocky ass trail on a 1993 Diamondback Sorrento and shed blood within maybe 100 feet. Lol. Got my ass handed to me and went OTB in rather dramatic fashion, but learned that my helmet is reliable! It was so cool, though. I just found this trail about 30 minutes from my house using MTB project and found what I thought was the right place to park, but I was the only one there. As I was putting on my shoes, a guy drove up with a MTB in the back of his truck. I went over and asked him if I was in the right place and he confirmed that I was and invited me to tag along. He was totally patient and encouraging and after the ride we exchanged information and found out we live only a couple miles from each other. After explaining what newbie I was (which was already obvious from my "riding"), he led me back to his place and gave me an old full-suspension GT Marathon frame and some 29" wheels! It needs some work, to be sure, but I think a few hundred dollars may land me with a perfectly functional bike. So, I made my first MTB buddy AND got a free bike, more-or-less! Gnarly! And your channel is absolutely what got me into this whole thing, so thanks again! Ima' sling you some fiscal support eventually, as well.
Wow, that's such an awesome experience after a rough start!!
Those were some sweet trails! Good footage too. Stay safe and keep riding, guys!
Thanks Cru!
Dude! That first run looks like my flavor of riding! Awesome!
Pretty sweet!
Awesome, some really great trails. That girl can sure ride, too cool.
She was a beast!
So much trail! Awesome!!!
Thanks bear!
Sweet trails!!! Good times
😁👍
Wow those trails look amazing. The last one was looked so so fun. Awesome stuff
It was a ton of fun!
Looks like the best trails so far!
Wow, that's pretty high praise!
That looked like an awsome trip! The 1st location looked sweet with the hard pack dirt and super flowy! Great riding Brian
It was a really fun trip!
Sweet trails man! Love it...
Thanks Will!
I'm kind of new for the sport but I can say you are changing your riding style, I don't think there is nothing to do with mental toughness, it's just a complete different style of riding. I've seen your climbs and you are smooth, you just don't like to freaking fly through the air.. same here. I might be wrong great video
Haha thanks man
You're channel is sick man. I'd love to come over to America one day and shred some of these trails!!
Great to see you hitting jumps, gaps even, with such confidence!! AWESOME VID AS USUAL :D
Thanks dude!
Keepin' in real w the mental battles early on. I love the fact that you don't edit that stuff out. Great riding. Great vid. Thanks!!!
We all go through it, I'm not going to pretend I don't!
Oh...
breathless.
Man epic.
Love the humility and cautiousness, you need to live to record another day!
Haha, that's always the plan!
Just friggin epic, hilarious - no taking yourselves to serious (others take note!) Showing fails - takes balls. Great shit!
Glad you enjoyed it dude!
Your videos are awesome man keep it up. So many cool places I dont know where to start! Who knew N.C. had sick trails like that. Defintely have me wanting to take a roadtrip somewhere now.
Thanks bud!
man I love your channel and keep up the awesome work.
Thanks!!
Cool video! I'm hitting duthie and raging river tomorrow!
Wow! Definitely one of my favorite spots you've hit so far. The hero dirt, the jumps, the trees, the scenery... looks world freakin' class!!! Some of the gaps look to be out of my league, but there appears to be a lot of "user-friendly" features too. Love it!!!
It was solid!!
I say this every time but what great trails! Steep, rugged, I love it!
Yeah these trails were sweeeet!
BKXC how many bikes do you have
It’s interesting to see Goose Chase at Tokul before it was logged. So beautiful.
Wow... so awesome... cheers Brian Kennedy!
Thanks dude
I've been dealing with mental battles for a while specially when you get hurt trying. It takes a while to reset and try jumps again. Nice video. Duthie Hill is super fun.
Definitely a battle!!
some of the crazy stuff i see you ride you could def do more of those jumps than you think!
Maybe!
Oh very true. Dude, you did Aliso & Wood Canyon trails. You go this!
Duthie is another one of my favorites! Such a well made system and a trail for everyone and all skill levels!
I've gotta get back here and do some jump practice
BKXC Learn on tables, not those gap jumps. The one you were trying and not clearing, you where not preloading your suspension and thus the shocks take all your lift away. Learn to preload, then release it as you take off. Bunnyhops are a great way to learn this.
After seeing how good you have gotten over the past couple of months it's good to see that there is still some stuff that show you are still a mere mortal ;)
Haha yep, we're all human. Nuggets and jumps my friend.
yea brian!! getting better at them jumps
One by one!
So good buddy! Making me miss Afan Forrest in Wales with that one!
Oh wow, I haven't heard of that one! Another for the long list!
Pretty rad to see my everyday trails on here! Thanks for visiting!
Nice!! Haha
Unreal trails dude
Nice riding to go with them
Awsome
Thanks Jobbie!
Those are some dope trails
😁👍
It is inspiring to hear when someone you admire has similar issues with certain types of riding. I, too, am not comfortable with jumps. I've only been XC MTBing for about a year, and haven't had an opportunity to practice jumps too much. Just something about the idea of not having any control in the air that I can't get over.
Thanks Brian, we've all got our weaknesses!
HAHAHAHAHA "nope" at 4:05. Lol sick video though as always Brian
Thanks dude
LOVE THIS TRAILS!!!!
😁👍
Dude, ur never gonna beat the fear until you go for it. You definitely have the skills. Hit those gaps man!! Faith!!
Thanks dude!
Nice one Brian! Love your vids!
😁👍
I have that mental battle all the time. Some days are better than others.
Always for me!
this is some real damn good mountain biking, great vid brian!
It was a great start to the PNW trip!
Wow.... very cool ride! I'm having to get out before 630am in SoCal so I don't catch on fire before the ride is over, and you looked like you needed a pullover!
Beat the heat!!
multi-rider footage looks great!
I dream of riding dirt and terrain like that!! Soooo jealous
Seriously amazing dirt!
PNW is the best mountain bike place I have ever ridden, I was there last year and totally forgot SoCal. Fresh dirt and the trees they are huge! It's like riding in the forest
Pretty damn amazing!!
Ryan Docena it is riding in the forest 🌳
I really cannot stand gap jumps, but once you do one it's a good feeling after you clear it
No doubt!
love the roads, i need that roads !
I think I'm most impressed that you did a solo 14 1/2 hour drive and still looked no worse for the wear. Gonna be in WA in August and will definitely stop by Duthie!
Hahaha, FRESH AS A DAISY! Nice.
..... That dual slalom course looks magnificent! I will get on a plane and fly from Australia to there just to ride that sweet stuff! As always, keep up the awesome work and being an inspiration for me (because I'm allergic to doubles as well)
DO IT!!
sick sick sick that was fun to watch
Awesome, glad you dug it Nelson!
amazing. fantastic. thanks for the gimbal tip.
😁👍
Nice of Dimondback to let you try there best and latest. Your jump skills are improving as well. Man I want to go ride the Pacific Northwest so bad lol maybe one day soon. Lily the trail dog sure did keep up.
Definitely a cool place to ride!!
Great video Brian love that bike 🚲
Thanks dude!
That dog was so amazing !
Hahah yep, the ultimate trail hound!
This is how i felt riding post canyon in hood river,OR, obstacles i were not comfy with were soooo sudden and then by the time you knew what the obstacle was you couldent bail out in time so id go halfway up and steep lip and fall backwards 🤣🤣
Yes! I want to get back and keep trying these!
Bummer I missed you guys...Small Fryes is 2 blocks from my house. Let me know next time your in the area and I'll get you all up into some back country trails. Have fun in Whistler.
Nice!
I have that same bike rack, the single version. Love it. 1up!
It's the bomb diggity!
so cool u finally came to duthie hill :)
It was cool!!
solid video! I wish we had that dirt here in Utah!
It's a special kind of dirt!
Trails looked awesome I'm also curious how you liked the mission pro compared to your Bronson. I have the raleigh kodiak 2 and love it for now as an entry level full suspension
Diamondback was heavy but still plenty of fun!
Great job! Thanks.
What kind of camera did you used?
And how are you mounting your camera?
Such nice trails, reminds me of redwoods/Rotorua NZ. 🤘🏻👌🏼😃
I've gotta get there!
Hey Yank
Great video. Nice to see someone else can't ride all the "Big" stuff on the trails.
Keep em coming dude.
Haha, thanks Steve. Some day!
so green!!! 😍🌿🌲🌿🌲🌱🌲
Big time!
I had a shit eating grin on my face just watching this! Looks like a blast, need to make my way back up there some day...
That's what I love to here!
it was great running into you in whistler lift chair. thanks for the sticker!
That was super cool, Martin!
Once again you know your limits, mental one this time, respect! 👍
riding some of my favorite trails for sure! missed out by not hitting preditor at tiger though! keep at it man
Next time!
lunch preorder, oh yeah!
I like how your videos are raw and uncut ish but comparing to seths I love these a little more because it's the ups and the downs in video making make it funny with the uncut unfiltered reactions to things
Thanks man! Definitely a different style and I'm glad you like it!
So freaking cool man!
Thanks!
