- I decided to play through Revelation with one restriction. That restriction being that the letter A is banned. That means no characters, classes, or items with the letter A in them are allowed to be used.

In all seriousness - this was a fun run to watch! Fates has never been one of my favorite FE games, but I really enjoy watching you come up with silly challenge runs!

In regards to the hoshidan siblings, I'm fairly confident that all of the Hoshido nobles were children of Ikona, Sumeragi's first wife. They knew Corrin was Mikoto's kid, but just assumed that Sumeragi was also Corrin's dad, which is revealed not to be true in the S support convos with those siblings.
All these mental and genetic gymnastics to justify the possibility of S Supports that simply could not have been in the game in the first place💀💀💀
You know, this challenge explains a massive contrivance in Fates's story: Corrin obviously can't talk about Vala, because it has two A's in it, and explaining that to their siblings would violate the rules of the challenge twice resulting in their immedite removl(tm). Obviously.
The real curse was that if Corrin even spoke the letter A, I’d kill then instantly.

I mean, technically banning the letter A entirely would ban telling units to Attack... heck, technically the whole game should be banned :P So you may as well allow seals at that point. Congrats on vanquishing the evil envoy of the dreaded letter A Anankos! Love these silly challenge runs, games with variety for reclassinh are so good for all kinds of ridiculous shenanigans

I will now play with the attack command and dragon veins banned, clearly. But yeah, you’re right. It’s all about the fun shenanigans anyways. If someone did a TRUE no A challenge, I would be in awe.
@@theoreticallymoss Fates is automatically banned because it has an A in it. Only Mystery and Three Houses are allowed for A-less

Thank you for introducing me to this restriction - I never saw the original Pokemon one and it's amazing that my first thought when I saw this video on my feed before clicking on it was that it would be great for a Nuzlocke restriction given that pretty much all the other traditional restrictions have been done.
Honestly, this restriction could probably be applied to so many games. I’m just glad I’m helping other people see it.

Now somebody needs to try this challenge but with V & L added, to really add that 'Curse of Valla' touch to the run

I sadly do not have a link to the mod. A friend had gotten it from a FE modding discord and sent me the file. So I have no way to properly share it (and I don’t wish to upload it anywhere as I lay no claim to it).
For those wanting to try the no seals version of the challenge. The legal characters are
Corrin
Selkie
Benny
Effie
Percy
Orochi
Shigure
If you include promotion, Odin Nyx, Soleil, Niles and Dwyer are in if you can promote them by having them as a backpack.
Corrin is the only fully free character,
Selkie can never promote
Benny and Effie can never promote
Orochi must go Onmyoji
Percy must go Wyvern Lord
Shigure must go Kinship
Odin and Nyx must go Sorcerer
Soleil can be any promoted class Niles must be Bow Knight
Dwyer must be butler

For a challenge like this, I'd base it on tiers.
Like, Tier 1 is name. If someone has an A in their name, they're a no-go whatsoever.
Tier 2 is class. If they can reclass eventually, then don't use them unless they're like the only character that can finish the chapter.
Tier 3 is weapons, which is also based on whether or not you're forced to use them
To give Ch2 as an example, Felicia is an absolute "no"
Gunter should be a "no" based on his class, but if it is deemed impossible to Corrin Solo that chapter then so be it.
Ganglari is the softest "no" as Corrin literally has no other choices.
Tier 3 is the least punishing to break, while Tier 1 is iron clad.
The run failed in the character creator since you have to pick between male and female 😢😢😭
You cannot beat fire emblem without the letter e because you would be playing Fir Mblm
I was gonna leave an umm ackshually comment about the sighting lens and ebon wing but then I remembered that the classes they bestow both have A’s in them so. Whoops.
(Btw for anyone curious, the three other characters besides Corrin who have no A in either their name or base class are Orochi, Effie, and Benny)

It would be very interesting to dee a Conquedt video! I am curious as to why it is disliked by you though, as I personally enjoy it the most.
Mostly due to me disliking the units and basically my original playthrough leaving a bad taste in my mouth. To be fair, I was still pretty new to the series when I first played conquest. I just personally find it infuriating to play.
Combine that with the fact that late game in all versions of Fates is just throwing loads of enemies at you to overwhelm and kill you without any hint of strategy to it and it’s extremely annoying. But I imagine if I returned to it now, I *might* enjoy it.

Yeah, I know. If I wanted to go extremely technical, I would only ever defend. But I can only handle so much, so I set my three rules in place.

Jokes aside this i always adore weird runs like this and using units like benny or effie units not usually used in rev is always cool. The only child unit i am suprised you didnt use was ophelia. Sorcerer ophelia can literally solo conquest

But yeah, it was definitely fun using units normally abandoned in Rev. Benny and Effie for sure, but Odin and Orochi were also surprisingly fun to use (even if I never mentioned that in the video 😶).
