Hello, Hoppers! In today’s video, I share how I boarded a Vueling flight from Barcelona Airport to Valencia. The general steps, many of which I explain and show in the video, are:
Check your flight information: Before heading to the airport, make sure to double-check your flight information, including the flight number, departure time, gate number, and any other relevant details. You can check this information on your flight confirmation email or by visiting the airline's website.
Arrive at the airport early: It's recommended that you arrive at the airport at least two hours before your scheduled departure time. This will give you enough time to go through security, check in your luggage (if necessary), and find your gate. You see I arrived super early.
Check-in for your flight: You can check in for your Vueling flight online, through the airline's website or mobile app. Alternatively, you can check in at the airport at the self-service kiosks or at the check-in counters.
Drop off your luggage (if necessary): If you have checked luggage, you can drop it off at the airline's designated baggage drop-off area. I only had carry-on.
Clear security: Proceed to the security checkpoint, where you will need to present your boarding pass and a valid ID or passport. Be sure to follow all security guidelines, including packing liquids and gels in a clear plastic bag and removing any metal items from your person. No cameras are allowed at security control, so sorry, can't film this part.
Proceed to your gate: Once you have cleared security, proceed to your assigned gate. You can find your gate number on your boarding pass or by checking the airport monitors. Just remember, the airport information screens are ALWAYS the last word. So if your boarding pass says one gate and the screen says a different gate, go to the gate shown on the screen. And check several times as it can change.
Board your flight: Vueling typically boards its flights in groups, starting with passengers who need extra assistance and those in premium cabins. Check your boarding pass for your boarding group and wait for your turn to board. I was in Group 1, so we were the first group of passengers to enter the airplane.
Enjoy your flight: Once onboard, find your assigned seat and stow your carry-on luggage in the overhead bin. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your flight to Valencia! It's a short flight from Barcelona to Valencia. I show you some of the views from the air!

Remember, after security there are also restaurants, shops, lounges, and the boarding gates. Many times you have to spend a lot of time here, so there are always toilets. Don't worry. Thanks!! Glad you enjoy them! This video was filmed last year, around May. Now, we don't have to wear masks in the airports, although I do wear it on the airplane.

Hello. Unfortunately I read a lot of negative comments about the Vueling airline now I am affraid to book it:(
Oh no. When I book a flight I look for 2 things: 1) convenient timing and 2) the price. I really don't care about the airline, although I do like some more than others. I always find that some people LOVE a particular airline and then others HATE it. So, you never really know.
Qantas and Singapore Airlines are best for me from Australia to Europe and UK.

do they have to check luggage at the gate?
When the overhead compartments are full, they usually take the extra bags to the hold of the airplane when at the gate. They don't charge you for this.
You certainly picked a lovely day for filming. I'm assuming this was filmed back when covid was bad as I see most are still wearing masks.
It was filmed in May 2022. I flew in January 2023 and we all had to wear masks on the plane. I guess it depends on the airline.
