Berzsenyi Benedek Even though its a funny label, but this is nu-metal by its general sound. Also, calling this type of music "rock" is kinda disrespectful towards the band, as it has pretty much nothing to do with the boring rock sound other than that its played on guitars.

Tazr Plauge That's part of it for sure. But I heard the album before seeing the video. The vocal effects and guitar riffs scream '90s alternative rock. Though the song definitely has it's modern elements.

BigNickel It's very Nu-Metally. I feel a lot of Limp Bizkit, Korn, and Deftones in the instrumentals. I can't put my finger on what the vocals in the verses sound like, but yeah... I definitely feel you. It's nice variety for Rise Records and music as a whole.

Digging the early 2000's influence.
First time i see a band make a very huge change in their sound, they basically started over with a different sound ditching every elements they had in their EPs and their debut full length. While this is pretty much of the alternative music that ruled in the late 90s and the ozzfest years the difference is they put more energy to their songs and they don't do post-production like they used to, and adding influences from Refused,Helmet, Vision Of Disorder and Snapcase.
AKA making their band sick as fuck.

Yup, good synopsis. Think most, if not all, the "Ozzfest" bands are shit, but they pull it off. Bet they're dope live.
This song and album was fucking awesome and so painfully underrated. A lot of the current hardcore scene borrows heavily from the nu-metal thing, I think if Strangers Only came out in 2018/19 they'd be pretty massive
Best band on Rise. They used to sound just like every other band on the label but now they've become one of my favorite bands. I REALLY hope their next album is like this one.
I normally don't like the "clean vocals" in this type of music but I it matches well with this band. I can dig it.

This is utterly fantastic. I'm not a huge hardcore fan, but this Korn/Decendents mix is so unique, energetic, and exciting. So glad I heard this!

They did a complete 180 on their sound and it's safe to say that its the best thing to have happened. Honestly you can rarely say this about any other band.

My Ticket Home is definitely one of the thousands of bands in the music scene that are struggling out on the road to gain support. I saw them with Stay from the Path and the two bands complimented each other perfectly. With the cookie cutter sound in the music industry today it's easy to see how M.T.H. gets skipped, but give them a listen or check out a show and you will more than likely become a fan. And if not so be it.

It really is man, it was getting tiring. Its great to hear bands take their music and add something that makes them different. Its why I like The Plot In You, their music is unique, these guys too have something awesome goin gon.

I support the return of Nu Metal. Its better than the shit that Hot Topic has advertised over the last 5-6 years and Nu Metal (despite its cheesyness) actually had a handful of good bands (Deftones bitches). Even as someone into older Metalcore i cant seem to find a decent "popular" modern one. I say let it be reborn

These guys are bringing Nu Metal back in the best way possible, this album is phenomenal. I like their earlier stuff, but that genre was never really my cup of tea. This is like Nu Metal 2.0, its so raw and in your face without all the over produced bullshit that accompanied Nu Metal in the 90's. I really hope these guys stay on the path they're on right now, this is groundbreaking.

My Ticket Home just revolutionized this "scene" that we're all in. People don't see that band members in other bands are absolutely mind blown by what MTH has done. Strangers Only is hands down their best record and have become something of their own! Great job guys, PUKE ROCK or DIE!
