  • Protein Power-Packed Snack
Snacking is a common when one’s blood sugar starts to drop. However, many you might be overeating snack foods because they are full of empty calories and aren’t keeping you full between meals.
The SPIN Protein Power-Packed Snack is full of nutrients and protein to give you energy throughout your day or to replenish you after a workout.
    SIMPLE STEPS
    Ingredients:
1 Piece of whole wheat bread (toasted)
    One scoop peanut butter
    1 banana
    About 1 teaspoon honey
    1. First, go to the bread station and take one piece of enriched whole wheat bread. Then put the piece of bread through the toaster oven to get it to the desired color that you want. Whole wheat bread is packed full of potassium, folate, and is a great source of fiber.
    2. Second, go over to the condiment bar next to the toaster oven and spread the peanut butter over the piece of toast. You can use as much as you please but less is more because it is such a strong flavor. Peanut butter is a great source of protein, and vitamins E and C.
    3. Third, head over to the baskets across from the drinks, near the cereal where you can find a banana. When you get to your seat, cut up half the banana and put the pieces on the toasted bread. You can spread the pieces out and use as much of the banana as you want. Bananas are a great source of potassium and fiber.
    4. Near the tea section there are bottles full of honey. Take the bottle of honey and just drizzle a little bit of it (about one teaspoon) over the piece of toast with peanut butter and bananas. This adds a little bit of sweetness to the snack and honey is a great probiotic that helps to regulate blood sugar.
After this sit down, relax and enjoy your snack.
If you want to give this recipe more of a fall theme replace the bananas with thin apple slices, cinnamon and honey.
