It's because it's unfortunately easy to forget. I love the song as well so it makes me sad, but the song is too low-key for the average Eurovision listener to remember after only one listen. They'll need to do something amazing in the semi-final if they want to be remembered
And it's especially frustrating because just when we finally got the ethnic sounds AND Azerbaijani language, the odds be deluding themselves.

Amazing! Mesmerizing, sensational, charming to the point of hypnotizing!
Azerbaijan is so underrated by the fandom so far. I hope this will change in Malmo! This entry has to do great in competition! It's one of the best (if not the best) suggestions Azerbaijan has ever come up with. And the bar was really REALLY high.
And this new version now ... although the original version was so PERFECT that I wanted no single detail of it to change, still here I am equally enjoying the new approach. These two lads are not only great vocalists but also their whole vibe and presence is so beautifully seductive that I'd watch hours of their singing together in that almost meditative state. I wouldn't mind seeing them sat like that on the stage in Malmo. This has never happened so, we could possibly hope for a big impact and it perfectly suits the song anyway. I'm so excited to see the final presentation...

Probably one of the only countries that still keeps their national tune in their songs and expresses what Eurovision has always been about: showing your country’s music and giving it a modern spin. If this does not score in the top 10, Eurovision is done for

@@queenmaggie987The OP's comment here is all about showing your national, ethnic tunes in the songs and Azerbaijan definitely does this pretty well. Eurovision is not a contest where local composers compete with one another. It's a song contest and you can show your culture in it whether it's written by local or foreign composers. In addition, there are lots of countries in ESC that have their songs written by foreign composers other than Azerbaijan and heaven knows there is always murmuring against when it comes to only Azerbaijan.
