i bought a 2015 Buick Verano in 2018. This car has not been a problem at all. I love my Verano and its luxury. The only problem was that the backseat had too little leg room. If they had made the trunk smaller and given the space to the back seat they could have had more leg room. However, I still love my Buick Verano.

I bought a 2016 Verano in 2020, and it’s been a great, reliable car so far. 36,000 miles when I drove it off the lot in ‘20. The only thing I don’t dig about my car is it being a compact sedan whereas I should’ve gone with the midsize LaCrosse instead. But for it being a compact size car it has some room and space inside to be cozy and comfortable to sleep for a few hours if need be. Hopefully Buick will still be in business when I’m ready to retire my Verano and buy a new car. Buick, Chevy, and Cadillacs are among my favorite brands of cars (current and vintage) but for me nothing tops a Buick!

It got cancelled because they shifted focus to crossovers... Buick stopped making all sedans because of that. Also, there are many makes that base themsleves on similar models, like an Audi model that's basically a luxury Volkswagon, but no one ever complains when they do it.

This car is amazing. Decent maintenance costs. Little issues that get solved at the shop. Good trunk size & honestly the best car for hills. I've driven my 2015 verano on the steepest hills of San Francisco. It takes u up that hill and u will not roll back. Hill assist on this is top class. My dad's cadillac is okay. My sister's dodge challenger doesn't really have the best automatic control systems loop for hills. It locks up on minor inclines like on a driveway.
Also verano has the best alert system for collision detection.

No they are not the same car, the Verano was equipped with much more powerful engines and far better sound insulation, the interior of the Verano was much nicer . So here’s my commentary. The cruz has a baby engine, which makes less power and doesn’t get better fuel economy. The cruz also looks like ass. If you’re buying a car you want that stuff and at only 4K extra for a car that people still see as being in style (the cruz is not) you go with the verano.

No there is more to it and the Cruze isn’t the same car, the Buick got two way more powerful engines and the Verano is a much quieter and way more powerful car. It’s a truly fun car because Buick put a far more muscular engine. I took my Verano to my good friends shop that has the ability to put your car on the dyno and my 2.4 pulled 210 HP , My friend lets me use his lift and I do all my work on the Verano and I’ve done very little to it. I’ve had my Buick Verano leather edition. 2015 since 2018. I love my Buick. It’s a smooth ride. I don’t see a thing wrong with it. I’ve always received compliments on it. It has enough power for me. The only problem, this is one my grandson complained about. There is almost no leg room in the back seat. It’s hard when you have a few adults un the car. You end up having less room in the front seats to make room in the backseat. The trunk has a lot of room. I think they sacrificed room in the back seat for a bigger trunk. If the newer Verano provided mor leg room I believe there would be nothing to complain about. So many people love the crossovers but for me I love my Buick. Usually by now I would be trading my car in. A while back I had a tire that was almost flat. Someone told me it was flat. I got out and looked at it. It was slowly loosing air. I barely felt it. That car rides so smooth and has such a great suspension system I could barely feel the flat. I would gladly purchase another one.

Maybe a smaller trunk space to allow for more leg room in back. I have not had to make any major repairs. If they made another Buick Verano I would buy another one. They just need to make the trunk a little smaller to allow for more leg room in back and wifi friendly.

I've had one since new in 2013, and it has been wonderful, dependable, and it gets compliments all the time. People think it's a 2021 or newer model.

  • @erikgoodluck1108
    @erikgoodluck1108 Před rokem

The engines are totally different. Chevy 1.8L isn't reliable. Lots of plastic parts prone to bend in high temperature. The intake has is a poorly designed. Putting a turbo on a 1.8L is prone to engine failure, if not driven casually. Less cab and trunk space.
Buick 2.4L are more reliable. Easier to work on. Parts last longer if you maintain it. Suspension is way better. Still tight space when your working. But in comparison to the cruz, the buick wins. More space in the cab and trunk. When you adjust your seat you won't hit the person sitting in backs knee caps lol.
I work on both of these daily. My sister has the cruz and, I own the buick. They are totally different vehicles. I am very glad to have had the time to actually get eyes on the real difference. The engine and parts are the main difference.
I give it to the buick because its less worrisome. Both do have the same transmission the 6 speed. Nothing special the fluid change should be every 30,000 miles. So you don't have to take out the transmission filter.
There are more CZcams videos on how to work on chevy cruises than buicks. That's what I don't like lol. But yeah... just throwing it out there.

2012, 2013, 2014+ yrs Buick Veranos engines had horrible problems. When it got close to 100k miles? It began sucking oil consumption, even if you changed oil every 3,000 miles. When engine was consuming oil at fast rates? It never notified you there was a problem. You can research consumers feedback. Some lost their engine before 100k miles.. If you can find a Buick Verano with at LEAST 150,000 miles still running well? Good luck. I owned one and for the first time in my entire life...the engine crapped at 180k miles. Umm...your transmission is supposed to go before an engine. I'll stick with Honda/Acuras, Toyotas...and even my beloved Hyundai Azera Limited.

  • @caseystringfellow9594

The Cruze came with a 1.6t or a 1.8l engine and the 1.6t was problematic as hell. Acura ilx and Lexus is250 would’ve been comparable competitors. The 3 series would compete with a regal from the time since it’s obviously a bigger car. Please do better research to avoid the misinformation.

So i put up with it and still am putting up with it. Now after watching this video my suspicion is right. I downsized and i downgraded a lot unfortunately not to mention despite of expensive maintenance, there are expensive repairs too. Cant wait to change it but thats by next year. With that said, I’m referring to why the Verano went away, only in the US, is because Buick went to an all SUV line for GM.

Just outta curiosity how many times did you mention "the Verano is just another version of the Chevy Cruze? It's just a little more luxurious" You probably don't realize the difference in the engines. Buick has at least 4 trim packages from base model to premium and sport/Ecoboost. The latter is like turbo and is the fastest of the series I believe. Anyway I just educated you guys a lot more than this 10 minute spiel regurgitating the same nonsense. That's bc I actually own this car and know it's not the same. If you like it/not fine just don't go bashing a maker for no good reason.
