In this video I test what happens when you spray a superhydrophobic substance like Neverwet on water. Will it make water become waterproof? Then I show you how you have actually seen waterproof water..In fact you are made of waterproof water!

Just what I was thinking. It may be necessary to put it back in the freezer, to avoid water leaking after the fresh coating. Don't know if Never Wet works at those temperatures, though...

Why would he do something like that? Did you watch the entire video? If you did you saw the flimsy film that he pulled off the water surface. What in the world makes you think that that film would be strong enough to hold the water from a melting ice cube? Come on people use your brains before suggesting some of this nonsense.

@@alifetomake what would happen is the ice would melt and that film would be left sitting on top of the water just like at the end of the demonstration in this video. It's pretty obvious what would happen. Go buy your own damn Never-Wet and do it yourself. No need to waste his time at and ours with a pointless experiment.

The spray needs to be at 65 degrees in order to work. It also needs time for the chemical reaction to take place. Spraying it on ice will instantly freeze it and not allow the chemical reaction to take place. Anything under 65 degrees will negate the chemical process, per the instructions on the can. Spraying it on ice will be a pointless experiment.

so if i use hydrophobic spray on pu leather then I wash it, the hydrophobic substance I spray will go away due to friction since it just coats the leather? or is it get absorb by the fibers on it? im getting anxious on something i want to experiment to.

Heres a question: how "durable" is this hydrophobic layer? Like for example, can i, say, cover my car with this hydrophobic layer and never get it dirty? Like if i go into mud with the car, the mud would technically just "flow" down the car's body and stay clean and if its dust, i could just dust it off with a dry rag or let the rain to get the dust wet and then just flow off the car's body. Or the hydrophobic layer isnt that strong to last a decent amount of time?

Because you never left the past.
Think about it, if you travel from city A to city B then you would no longer be in city A but when we go from the past to the present, we're still there in the past. People often say we travel through time but we don't, we exist through time like a string or worm. What we imagine in sci-fi as time travel would be cutting that string or worm and moving the cut piece.
