In the vlive IU said that in the You and I era she could see the future, and she saw him building the time machine (now in 2019) so she builds it, but in above the time she's trapped in some dimension or something and he's the one who's gonna save her... To understand the mv the key it's to look at the clocks from the You and I and above the time, it starts with You and I, then she travels and that's the above the time mv, later on he saves her, and that's the ending of you and I

What I can conclude about this new MV
In You & I MV (2011), IU go to other dimension, maybe she wanna do something to save her lover because her lover was sick, she made some machine like time machine and the number in the machine there was number 191231 (des 31st 2019), but she trapped there and can't go out
In this MV, her lover did anything to save her from that other dimension, he do it like in 8 years and never succeed, he miss her so much and feels like he'll never meet her again, that's why he cries a lot, but in the end of the MV, he SUCCESS to bring his lover back, the proof is the goose is ALIVE and with him on the roof, also the melody in the end (that's melody in You & I), also the calendar in the beginning also in the end, it shows that it is des 31st
