@@BUCKSGEARBOX Haha, it's been a while since I engaged with the books (audio and print) so knowledge of dudes like Tom Bombadil has faded a lot. But... elves weren't at Helm's Deep (and Theoden wasn't a coward), Merry and Pippin were capable enough to save and lead the Shire, and Gandalf had one of the elven rings the whole time. I should read books again...
Amen brother preach! I love the movies but I just think the depth of the books was impossible to completely capture. The omissions didn’t bother me but the changes in character and specific scenes did.
That is amazing, I was in New Zealand about 9 years ago and went to some lord of the rings filming locations! And I have the new liong mah field duty and it's really good it's one of my favorite knives
That's awesome! I got to go and visit some of my wife's family right around the same time as you! We got to see part of Rohan and the place where Helm's Deep was filmed (from a long way off). It's beautiful there!
The wording makes it sound like you went from wanting to trade it in, to deciding to put a ton of money into it. Im pretty dumb so i may have just missed something that made it clear thats not the case, but that was definitely my takeaway.

Thanks! Yeah really just changed my mind after talking with Erik about it and convincing him to LOTR it for me hah. I had some other knives on consignment at the time as well so I didn't have great need to sell it...

Hey no problem man I appreciate the support. Anyone can feel free to support the channel or not - but right now Patreon is at a "tip jar" status. I am working on updates and stickers and other patreon specific ideas now, but totally understand. All support and channel earnings I've received (which isn't much - I'm a very small channel in the grand scheme) has all gone back into the channel for giveway purchases and new gear to review; just so you're aware. Anyone else reading this - I am a hobby youtuber with a full time job and a family that take priority. I really appreciate my community here! It's a lot of work but it's fun!
