I think Riaan has a gift for knifemaking. Every one I looked at in the shop was dead perfect. I think there were 9 or so from blade show and a couple we already had in stock. I had trouble deciding which one to get haha

Thanks for the comment and watch!! My first good knife was a Benchmade Griptilian and you can’t go wrong with that! I’m a huge fan of the Malibu. I’d say one of each eventually 🙂🙂. The Malibu is probably seen as a fancier and rarer knife and uses some really premium steels. I’m a fan of the blade shapes they come in too. However some folks don’t like the ergonomics of the Malibu and that’s where the Griptilian is so so good and seems to fit everyone pretty well. You can’t go wrong with either! Both great companies! With great knives on offer!

LOL yeah that was my biggest pet peeve. It’s actually a lot better for cash than coins 🙂 But I still don’t use it cause of the space issue. I like my minimalist wallet to be minimal 😂

@@BUCKSGEARBOX I bought a minimalist dupe of the Ridge today for 19€ ... never had one like this, but I think it'll be good for me, since I never use cash... only cards (about 10) and the mobile. We'll see.. but I won't pay 150€ for a wallet that's made probably in the same factory as the one costing 19€

@@BUCKSGEARBOX hope you do it, whether a simple table top or a field / testing comparison, either would be great.

Mine has two small scratches in it. But I’ve used it a ton. I don’t abuse my knives (save my fixed blade camping knives maybe hah). Stonewashed finishes do a pretty good job of hiding scratches unless you’re studying it by a light source and that’s the only way I can see these. I wouldn’t say it’s any easier to scratch than any other blade. That being said I don’t mind scratches from regular use - only when something’s actually defective would I be bothered by it. This one is a favorite for sure. Hope that helps!

Firetacs are awesome! Yeah this ones really simple to open :) When I took my XM-18 apart and cleaned and adjusted it that made it a ton easier to operate

I think I would work on the jimping of the xm18 just to take some of the bite away . I put my firetac up for sale on blade forums .

I was trying to decide what to do all that month. Was even saving up some cash. But it wasn’t enough to hit the “70 years” birthday mark in my book. I figured he’d like that one even better since it was my first Seb. I thought about it for about 10 seconds. Easy decision loved the look on his face!
