Alice Coltrane - Documentary "A Love Supreme" - Part 1 (Black Journal, 1970)

"A Love Supreme” was the title of the classic album from legendary American jazz saxophonist, John Coltrane. Released in January 1965, it was one of Coltrane's most critically acclaimed and commercially successful albums. It is widely considered his masterpiece, as well as one of the greatest albums of all time.
Part 1 of the documentary features an interview with Alice about the influence her late husband has had on her life, both musically and spiritually. She describes him as being a spiritual person, although not tied to one organized religion. John was a vegetarian and took time out of each day to meditate.
