The Wrestling Observer awards lost all meaning to me when Dave Meltzer denied my vote for Dutch Mantell for Booker of the Year (for booking the TNA women's division) because, according to Unca Dave, there was no evidence that he was booking the division. Except it was common knowledge at the time and to this day Mantell talks about booking the TNA women's division.
I wonder how many of these current awards have been manipulated by Meltzer in a similar fashion.
Which are the reputable wrestling awards I should be looking out for?

The fact that Tony Khan lost Booker, Promoter, and Promotion of the Years Speaks volumes. More importantly, the fact he didn't tweet for almost an entire week because of it, meanwhile HHH could care fucking less. What blows my mind is WWE won the top 3 awards, yet AEW somehow still wins best show and best PPV. Something doesn't add up. Of course, you know Meltzer enforced his rule that his new flavor of the month, Opsreay won as many awards as possible.

Will Osprey also won the Heavy Metal Grammy over Metallica and the Best Picture Oscar over Barbie and Oppenheimer.
To be fair, Barbie being nominated for Best Picture is a lot like Will Ospreay being nominated for wrestler of the year. Whether they win or not, the nomination itself invalidates the award from being taken seriously.

I appreciate how Brian Last pronounces the Japanese names well even though Jim is constantly scoffing.
The “hipster” mindset in wrestling fandom has been annoying (see O’Shea Jackson Jr’s points) at times but I’ve mostly let it be. Whatever, people like what they like. But the over compensating for these underwhelming performers simply for the sake of “I know them, I’M a fan, I’M different” is by far the worst part of the business today.
The FTR vs White/Robinson from Collision last summer was outstanding.
So was the first one, and nobody talks about the first one. The first one is every bit as good as the second but the second one is so much longer that it gets all the attention.

I was just looking over the past winners, there has been an anti-WWE WWF bias in most awards for a long time -- but it just jumped the shark completely since AEW came out
LA Knight being no where near the top especially for talker (I think he's better than MJF) and him getting himself over as the most popular star along with Cody Rhodes is banana's. These people just don't know quality.
