Gentaro who wants Genki's attention.
However, Genki cannot raise children with peace of mind when Gentaro is with him.
Therefore, the zookeeper sometimes separated the rooms of Genki and Gentaro to make time for Genki to spend quietly.
Meanwhile, Gentaro spent time with Momotaro.
⚠️ ⭐️ Due to the spread of coronavirus(COVID-19) infection, Kyoto City Zoo will be closed again from August 23rd to September 30th .
The closed period may be extended depending on the situation.
Therefore, I will post old videos until the zoo reopens.

⭐️モモタロウ Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
momotaro was born at Ueno zoo in Tokyo on jul.3,2000 and came to our zoo on Oct.18,2010.
He is beautiful and handsome ,the silverback of our troop.
He is a little timid,and scared of new things.
He sometimes shows lovely behaviors that melt our hearts.
He is making efforts to be a good dad for his two sons.
⭐️ゲンキ Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Genki was born at our zoo on Jun,24,1986.
After mating with several males without a pregnancy she found her perfect partner Momotaro.
Now she is a loving and caring mom for her two sons.
She sometimes behaves boldly,yet she can also be sensitive.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️ゲンタロウ Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at our zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
Everyone immediately agrees that he is a very adorable boy.
⭐️キンタロウ Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at our zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.
He love to play by himself,with his father.
He is still small, but smart and strong-willed.
His cute appearance and behavior attract everyone's interest.

Gentaro sufre lejos de mamá pero es muy celoso.
Poor Genki. She must have been so stressed out. What a handful Gentaro was. He was like a jealous 4 year old child. It was good that Momotaro had to deal with him. You could see them glancing over at the metal bars separating them from Genki towards the end, and Momotaro calling out.
I just wish you could make a video of this family with the real sounds they make so we coul have an idea how they really sound like instead of the music. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the music you put in all these vids, it's lovely. But I just wonder how the hooting and the grunts or the shouting really sound like for real.
The videographer is in the other side of thick glass. The only way to hear their sounds is if the zookeeper makes a video. I'd love to hear their sounds, too!
Maybe a little ruffhouse house play will calm a energetic Gentaro down. 🤩🤩 Mom needs a rest 😇

Watching Mum and Baby together is so cute..she's such a protective Mother. Now that I watched the story behind each family member I understand why she will not let baby go..the boys rough house and play is so cutte..He can get all that aggression out on Dad.

What a wonderful video! The dynamics between the family members are on display. Gentaro is so curious about the little one that takes mom's constant attention and, just like in human homes, jealousy is on display. When dad takes on babysitting duties, he does so with gusto & exhausts Gentaro so that he will settle down - impressive! While mom and baby are precious in this view, I am impressed with Momotaro and how he handles Gentaro! Thanks for this look back...

I watched all the old videos and never saw them separate Gentaro from Mom when he was being annoying what a great idea they should’ve done that my little more often. Gentaro is thinking uh oh I really blew it this time.😕 Those fluorescent lights are way too bright.

So this is good for everyone. Genki and Kintaro can have time together without stress, and Gentaro can learn how to be a silverback from his dad.🦍

Daddy helped the little turd monster burn off some of his energy! I loved seeing that because that little turd monster needed that roughhousing and the one on one attention he got from Daddy was good, too. Mommy sure needed a rest and cuddle with the baby and time away from all of big brother's energy!
In the wild Gentaro would have other kids his age to play with and run off that energy.
Momatoro could go find him another female without a baby who would like to go on a date with him.

This an video when kintaro was just a month old,and so cute.Genki had her ✋ full with her first son wanting her attention,and wanted to play with baby kintaro.The zoo keeper separated gentaro from genki,so genki could have some quite time with her 🚼,and it worked.Momot,gentaro dad had to entertain him,and did a good job except gentaro could not figure out how he got separated from his mom,oh well,dad is just as much fun.
