Actually i think its mostly mixed from middle to high n her extreme highs too. She just happens to have a veryyyyyyy balanced mix plus so much trained. She definitely has the best technique! Also, m sure her lungs r made of diamonds, steel cant compareeee

Because of this, she can never have children. But being member of the church she got people praying for her, and she survived the cancer. Because of this she sees her life a gift from God, and she wanted to dedicate her life and singing to Him. She said she wants her singing to comfort people who are in pain, telling them “I see you- I’ve been there”. She has since then almost exclusively been singing at churches at home and abroad, at charity events, or events to honor other artist - meaningful events, and avoided taking part in the big music industry. She has been contacted many times by international managers who could help her getting famous here in the West (she is famous in Asia, despite her limited performances), but she has always refused. Now she is about 40 years old (she looks so much younger!) and the last few years she has been participating in South Korean music contests on TV. When she first started singing on these TV shows she was very conflicted if this was the right thing to do. But then she saw a woman in the audience crying while she was singing, and she realised that her calling was to reach out to everyone who is hurting, not just people in church. ❤️ She not only has an outstanding talent and the most beautiful voice, her singing touches people in a way that is hard to explain, a gift from above. You're right Mum, Sohyang is comfortable in the high notes because she has a high tessitura as a Full Lyric Soprano. Sohyang and straining don't belong in the same sentence. 🤣 She can hit C#6 in full mix , still fully supported, resonant, no strain, though slightly shift her usually balanced mixing ratio to HV a little bit, which is healthier at that higher ranges, while still maintains a neutral larynx. Unless she's sick or tired, there won't be any detectable strain from her. She's also disciplined and knows her limit, so she won't access the upper range of her vocals in order to force singing while strained. (That upper limit is in the 7th octave for her, Eb7, though support ends on E6, without having to disconnect to resort to whistle register too. 👍 ) Her lower register is also respectable, D3 lowest limit, down to G#3 still supported, which is TWO octaves LOWER than her tessitura. 😁
