Good luck girl......stunning horse. Great to see her over here...thanks to all the Aussies who brought her here.
So glad iv been able to spend time with her at the stables,
I guess so. Black Caviar is amazing.
I'm a 'Pom' as they call us also, and a huge fan of both horses. I will admit I thought the jokcey's over-confidence ruined her chances, though I did find out today that mid-race she had somehow torn two muscles and bruised her hind quarters. Kudos to her for being able to stay on with that kind of injury. I believe she may have won by at least 2 lengths if the jock hadn't stop riding and if she hadn't have hurt herself.
LittleDarkFox. See new post 2 above yours. FACTS no.t opinions.
good luck pretty girl do your best and show the world what you got i hope there will be a match race with frankel and you before you guys retire
How's this for a mouth-watering prospect: Aiden O'Brien is seriously considering dropping So You Think down to a mile to take on Frankel at his last race start before retiring to stud. It is also a well known fact that Peter Moody believes Black Caviar could be a world class miler... she is also close to retirement, as I think is Frankel. You don't need much imagination to understand what I'm getting at. It will bring closure on one of the most facinating eras of the sport of kings.
But I agree with you - she won't be taking on Frankel any time soon. Not until they are perfectly sure she's up to the challenge.
facts an figures would also tell you theres not an horse out there that would beat frankel
Susceptible to muscle tears? I'll say. What a champion.
Exactlg. Vet analysis showed she got a muscle tear in that race - hence "the engine died" as Luke said. Reference Gerrard Weightly book Black Caviar. Also notice on the CZcams of her being walked around after the race that she has a slight limp. Any horse person can see that.
she could do 20 races more....
she is the best mare
Well I'm a Pom and congrats Oz, it took balls to bring her over.
However, if this is the best racehorse in the world, winning by a nose, then I've got a chance of giving Elle Macpherson a massive stiff rogering tonight.
Nelly won't be taking on King Frankel after that showing, I tell yer.
Mal Hombre. See new factual entries now. Frankel not king. But, hell, wouldnt we love to see a Frankel over Nelly (Black Caviar's stable name) foal in the future as an addition to world breeding.
Slow track, poor riding, and she still won. Given a decent track she would have blitzed them.
so it's nothing special that she's the first mare in 27 years to win the Queen's race??
typical poms all this talk about her coming over and they cant even supply competition
hopefully they might have some better nags in the july cup
oopps theu have no one else besides there precious frankel
what a joke
