nice playing! the way you make the guitar "sing" at around 0:20 reminds me a bit of Derek Trucks' playing

I live in Portland.... still never have gotten to play a Benson. I was selling my Alessandro to buy one but ended up with a US Guthrie Charvel instead...I mean, I love the guitar! But now I'm back to square 1 on my Benson quest. If I could only sell all my other tube amps... it's hard to do, I love them all but I don't use them all but they are there if I want them, yet I use my AXE FX everyday. I've even considered selling my attenuation units. But I can't because what if I wanted to plug into the ENGL Fireball, or the Bogner, God forbid if I wanted to use the Marshall - it doesn't even make pretty sounds unless turned past 7 o'clock.
This problem extends to my guitars also. I don't play my AS Strat anymore but I CAN'T sell it. My Jazzmaster? NO WAY. Maybe the Parallel Universe Meteora? Ummmm, not on your life. I LOVE my Fenders, but I don't play them anymore. I play my Ibanez and I play my Charvel. But just knowing I can grab a certain guitar is a wonderful feeling.
The big help many of us need is learning how to let go of instruments when you know you have grown with them as far as you are going to and now you just hold them hostage. Not allowing them to inspire others in the same way they inspired you. Why? Nostalgia? Hoarding? Selfishness? Fear?
I have tried parting ways with my favorite instruments many times. It never matters how many years things go untouched, the answer is still the same.
I mean, all things remaining the same, they will outlive me and some other person will own them eventually.
    Sorry for the rant.
