santa on a firetruck most american thing ever said. good to see these two people doing so wholesome Christmas things together.
All Santa need is candy cane-colored automatic rifle in one hand, and his naughty list on the other. ‘Murica
Very cute couple
I remember a couple years ago I was doing charity at a Walmart and I saw a promotion for the military and they had a tank and Santa was in the tank
Santa on a fire truck is also pretty Australian. Where I'm from in oz on Xmas Eve the local countryfire authority fire truck drives along every street in town throwing out candy (lollies in Aussie English) to kids. It's also a great way to raise some money during fire season.
Neither of those things is uniquely American
Christ what a stupid bastard
What talented people they are, small businesses like this deserve our support & success.
Those candy canes look absolutely phenomenal. We all hope to see more great content like this. Keep up the good work.
just the right amount of imperfection that lets you know they were made by hand
Yea he could toothole the wife with one saying hohoho and a happy new year over hear!
this is the most wholesome video ive seen ever from eater, they are living a childhood dream!! they got even a chocolate factory
Its amazing to see all of the work that goes into making these candy canes! I would love to visit this store if I ever get the chance!
They seem so wholesome
I wonder if they know the folks over at Hercules in Syracuse. Same process and same length of time in business. So happy to see traditional methods still used. Candy is an art.
I'm sure they do. It's possible Steve has mentioned them before. Not swearing to it.
Love that it’s 4th generation owned. Thanks for sharing!!!
Stay positive brother! You're doing an incredible thing for people with tremendous quality. There is much to be proud of!
I love Lucas Candies. Currently eating their delicious chocolate
The brittles looks like a popular Indian 🇮🇳 snack called *Gurbadam* or Jaggery Peanut where instead of sugar we use Jaggery
Great to see these crafting traditions still going strong. Fantastic.
I've made a lot of peanut brittle for Christmas over the year but never seen it made with beer, used to make home made candles for years .
Congratulations Loucas’s!!!! Such a nice success story! Plus I love your candies!
Great episode, ordered me up some of that delicious looking brittle. 😋 I was bummed out that I couldn’t get any hand made candy canes as they were sold out. I’ll be on the lookout next Christmas season.
Much love to you two and your shop!
How was it?? All those peanuts and that brittle looked amazing
Nick and Debbie, I am a candy lover and wonder this: If Debbie added flavoring to the red "sugar" part of the candy cane, it might be a smash hit! Peppermint (white) and cherry or raspberry (red) comes to mind! Yummy! 🍒
This small business should be a big business by next year. God bless. 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
What a lovely couple and great team
This is real life Santa and ms clause in the making
Keep on going guys! you are amazing!!

They make it look so easy!
Congratulations on 126 years keep growing strong May the lord continue to shine on you your family love ones and viewers have an awesome day God bless you all
What an amazing gift 🎁 this video is. Food science for Xmas ! Wow.
Yes indeed! I'm a teacher and for elementary school science, we make taffy from time to time, "The Science of Food." It is very much like making candy canes or the earlier stages of brittle making. I will be sure to show the students this video when that time rolls along.
I love that they do it all!!
So beautiful artcraft!
Amazing!! I’d love to try all those candies 😅
This is amazing
4:39 "I...have more hand power I think." "Oh, I'd say." 😂
I like that they explain everything.
This is awesome
love it! great chemistry!
I wanna try the brittle! Looks yummy
Awesomeness. It's heartwarming to see artisan work still being practiced with candy making. So much better than factory made crap.
I’m impressed!
Very VERY cool video!! I love seeing ol timey ways still going!
Thats some hard work!
Such a legacy -- love their old-school methods & machinery! The final product looks wonderful.
Y'know, before this video, I probably couldn't have pictured the stereotypical candy shop owner. But these two, jolly and enthusiastic and just a little bit acerbic to balance out all that sweetness, I think that's what they are.
This is awesome!
these guys are awesome!
I find the brittle hammer so endearing lol
Toffee hammer! Fun fact: in Britain, it's a symbol of women's suffrage.
@@hoilst how did the hammer become the women's suffrage movement symbol?
Lovely couple and business. They have a great purpose in life even though it looks bloody hard work
They are a badass and very efficient team very cool
Amazing
love it
So happy to hear that they're successful. Selling 3000 candy canes in a week instead of 300 sounds joy-inspiring -)
Awesome couple
what great synergy the two have
Wish you all more success.....
I never knew how a candy cane was made...but I definitely didn't think it was like this!
Always trust chef who are Chonky, happy, and smiling. It reflects in their food.
Great couples
I want to try the beer brittle so bad!!!
I loved this video
Merry Christmas from Apartment Cookery!
This is what I call hard workers
So cool

Do these guys ship? That peanut brittle looks incredible.
They have an online store on their website.
Lol this guy over here with his candy cane apron. You could say he's a real candy ass!
Oh... the brittle hammer. 🤷♂ 🤣🤣🤣
I've had Home made Candy Canes and there is no better !.
Merry Christmas 🎀🎄☃️
JO JO IN VT 💞💨❄️
Nice
Yummy!! If I worked there I’d weigh 300 lbs.
The wife definitely knows the customers! Big candy cane looks more appealing
I’d snag two dozen of those fire truck canes for my family’s Christmas party.
I can taste this video
Polkagrisar! ♥️
Artisans!
typo in headline / country's
That is really really cool.
These people should get together with the folks at Hercules Candies and share stories.
definitely gone order from here knowing about them nowww what
Thanks a lot for sharing your homemade Christmas candies. They look do yummy. If I am near you, I will buy a whole bunch for my grandkids.
Do you export your products to Canada? What's the name of your candies?
Please email me.
Thanks again. Good luck and God bless.
Happy New Year! 🥰🎉🎈✨️🎄💖💖💖
I have no doubt their homemade candy canes are popular. Getting one of the Disneyland ones requires planning on par with D Day.
American grit. USA #1. Keep the tradition alive.
Hercules in Syracuse NY is like you. Carry on.
Looks like and reminds me of Hercules Candy before they bought the shop.
Had no idea Patton Oswalt made candy.
“Country’s” is the singular possessive form of “country,” and it is used to indicate something belonging or pertaining to that country or its people.
Titanium dioxide not needed, yum 😋
Mr & mrs candy clause
I love artisans
2:38 nothing is wrong with adding a little bit of salt to the candy mixture.
😃
Haha I can see why she is the better one at "pulling" the candy cane! Lmao
And there are different flavors of candy canes 😋 too not just peppermint.
If he gets hard up could always use the furance to smelt things lol, and candy making one of those skills there is a reason some people stay in business
