The ending really hits you hard. The picture of Neil looks as if he is still sitting there with a smile of joy behind them drums.
When did he die

DW drums are like diamonds. They are fine cut jewels fit for kings. When you buy a DW, you know you got a legend
Man, that hit me hard bro. My eyes teared up. Wow.
@@ramencurry6672and if you don’t have the budget for a Collectors kit, they still have options for you. In my case, I have a Design Series kit in Midnight Blue Satin, and I absolutely love it to death!!! As you say, it is my diamond!!!!!!
Literally left me in tears What a memorial John made for Neil To have his last kit he made for the professor 🥲🥲🥲
I’m gonna buy a DW snare
great tour, thanks for that. the "what a loss" comment at the end, i simply turn around and say "what a gift to have been alive during the same time as neil, and his music lives forever"
Thank you.
I will never forget the first time I heard Neil play. It was like the first time that I heard music. He was the professor and the surgeon with the drums. His playing really influenced and inspired my playing. I will never forget him.
When you buy DW, you buy quality. They make drums fit for kings.
Amen, brother. What a privilege to have seen him play live.
I've never owned a DW kit but it's nice to see high level drums still being made in North America and people making a decent wage and enjoying what they do.
🙏
@@dwdrums your doing great!👍♥️
A few years ago, I had the honor of being on a small group tour of the factory, led by John. I can attest to the fact that everyone in that factory loves what they do, down to the people sweeping the floors. Oh, and yes Mr. Good actually does know the name and face of everyone who works there.
As soon as I saw Neil's kit, my eyes decided to have a water parade. Honored to have lived in the same time as this great human being. You will always be missed Professor. R.I.P.
🙏
What an emotional ending seeing Neil's kit and taking a minute to remember his genius and what a wonderful human he was.
Thank you.
Wow, what a touching ending with Peart’s kit. Wow! Beautiful!
Citizens of St Catherines take note. This is how you do a memorial for Neil.
Wow. That last minute really hit me. Just sitting there looking at what his family, his friends and us fans have lost. He didn't deserve to go so young. Thanks Neil. x
wow the end ...he knows everyones name as well
Well half were named Jose’ but oh well.
That made me cry. Thank you Professor!
Maybe I'm biased because I'm such a DW fan (and have a lot of my money invested in drums and hardware lol), but it seems like the relationships between ownership, staff, and artists is truly a family environment. I think that was portrayed well at the end with the Professor's kit.
You can tell he has a good heart and loves his life
Most definitely is!
The great thing about DW is that they’re all friends, the artist, and the management.
Thank you John Good and Louie for the amazing work you do. It especially touched me at the end to see my all time favorite Mr. Neil Peart
Now we see why the drums arent cheap...
We as drummers not only get quality in sound, durability and how the drums look...but a vision and legacy lives on every time a drummer buys and plays a dw product. Its not an easy work to get perfect drums...we appreciate all the work behind dw drums. Thank you so much❤
Just when I thought no more tears will roll after a year of Neil's death...oh, God.
To have the last kit designed, played and owned by the world's greatest drummer on display as a memorial is a testament to Neil, Rush and DWs unselfishness.
I pray that I will be able to share Rush's music with my grandchildren and them with theirs.
May God Bless the Peart Family, the Rush Organization and DW!!!
Oh man, Neil's Set.... What a moment....
I'm not crying, you're crying!
I'm not sure if music lovers, world round truly understand the loss of Neil. Memories abound, his music is like a time machine to me, he was 10 years older than I, and I was 12 the first time I heard Rush, I remember chills covering my entire body when I heard the drums and the whole sound of them. Till this day I get chills when I hear their music. Time Machine indeed.
🙏
John is a special guy with a tremendous love for the craft❤️and the professor
It’s because of this video that I decided to buy my first DW kit which I just took delivery a few days ago. Thanks DW!
Awesome! Thanks for the love!
Well... great factory Tour. But that ending really hit me in the feels 😭. I'm not so much of a Rush fan personally, but I appreciate how great Neil was at his craft. Still put a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye. Rest In Peace Neil. Respect to John Good and the rest of the DW family from the sunny UK ❤️
It's hard to even imagine how much Neil affected our lives with his drumming and words. That was a great thing to see.
Thank you
Really enjoyed the tour. I purchased my first set of DW drums in 1994. They where satin oil finish with gold hardware. 22, 10, 12, 14, 16. Purchased the matching snare that was a Craviotto series. The very best drum kit ever...Thank you John for all your hard work and making my life so much better...
🙏
Didn't see that coming, hadn't read the comments. Thanks for the tour, it's wonderful to see how it comes together. And to know you have that kit set up . . . that image will stay with me forever. You know, I always feel like it's the 14 year-old me that reacts strongest to Neil's passing, hard to explain. Thanks again Mr. Good for the tour.
I’m not crying..I’m not crying. Okay, I’m crying.
It got me too.
I cried...... I cried when Neil died, then I cried again when I heard Eddie Van Halen died.
“You know, I love to tinker. But all the tinkering in the world isn’t useful unless it starts with a good idea. So, look around for a need, and start coming up with ideas to fill that need. One idea will lead to another, and before you know it, you’ve done it!! See a need, fill a need.”
I heard that from Bigweld in the movie Robots. And it’s stuck with me a long time!!! And I appreciate people who have that philosophy!!!
The DW is like the Lamborghini of drums. I love seeing the DW brand on my drums. Always gives me a awesome feeling whenever I play!
I play the Design Series kit, and I gotta agree.
Damn. That ending hit me hard. They were like looking at the altar. Simply amazing. You're missed, Neil.
Aside from (still) loving DW Drums, that end part...wow. Just the ever-present evidence that music can move us, and drumming can be such a special art form.
Thank you John Good for everything you do. DW is the pinnacle of drums and hardware. You can tell that everything is done with all consideration for the player. Everything from function, tone, and cosmetics. DW drums certainly make a statement on stage.
What a touching tribute to Neil Peart. I hope one day to be able to do a factory tour and stand in the presence of that kit and reflect.
🙏
The end with the Neil Peart tribute is something. Thanks Mr. Good.
No matter how many times I watch a DW Factory tour video, it always amazes me how they make such awesome drums!!! I have a Design Series kit in Midnight Blue Satin that my dad got me for Christmas in 2019 and I love it to death. And I think I would be a horrible person if I didn’t say Rest In Peace to Neil Peart.
Thanks for the love David.
@@dwdrums it’s an honor to play your drums. I just wish I could afford a Collectors Series kit.
And don't forget about our Jazz and Classics Series drums. 😂
DW and Ludwig - two of my fave dream drum brands. I always go back to this video everytime, for both the factory tour and the touching tribute to Neil at the end. May the Professor's legacy live on forever. 🥁🥁🥁
I love my DW drums
They sound great
Thank You!
So proud to see all those gifted hands creating wonderful pieces of art.
An outstanding and touching tribute to the great Neil Peart from his good friend John Good. RIP Professor!
Thank you.
seeing neils kit hits hard because if you love DW's neil and DW helped push DW to where it is today wow so many great memories watching youtube vids back in the early 2000's dreaming of owning a dw collectors and actually owning DW collectors . wow thanks neil RIP master
🙏
R.I.P. NEIL PEART! BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE DW! That's why you are number one! I hope one day I can visit them!
Thank you.
All the work, all the memories, all the inspiration. tempus fugit.
This is why I love DW….. amazing
@dw drums
Amazing how much time is put into the making of a set of drums..just as Neil put in the making of his art into your drums..
God bless you all
I love my DW kit. five rack toms, three floor toms, Bass, all DW 9000 series hardware and all Paragon cymbals. I am a disciple of the professor. The quality speaks for itself. What a touching end to see Neil's kit where it truly belongs, back home where it was created. We will all miss the master, but his music and spirit will live forever. Such a touching video.
You can see how good the employee's are treated and love working there. What a wonderful place.
Thank you
The most relaxed drum maker I have ever watched. The end of a generation. My brothers are that age.
What a loss... When the door opened and go see "The" kit there, it was like entering a sacred, holy place. No words... RIP Neil. What a great man, musician, song writer.
I got emotional too.thanks for sharing John love your content. God bless you brother.🙏
GROSSTE HERZLICHEN DANK ! FANTASTISCHE FILM !!!
Goose bumps at the end! Wow!
Breathtaking ending!
Incredible drums!
I'm lucky enough to own two kits, one Collectors in Silver Abalone and a Performance kit in Marine White Pearl.
Great kits.
Russ played my favorite Stevie Nicks concert back in the day.......!
I was blown away by his work on the kit.
Awesome!
GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT DRUMS !
Thank you.
Thanks for the tour , John and what a touching moment at the end.
Excelente, great video. I'm happy to see some mexican hands involved in the process of making those beauties 🇺🇲🇲🇽🥁
Love the shop tours!
Wow, that ending hit me hard. Being a drummer and a huge Rush fan, Mr Peart was a big influence on me. Got to see them 3 times, such a sad loss. I could sit in front of Neil’s kit for hours just taking in all the history behind the years of making a drum kit come alive in the way he did. The factory is something else, what a fantastic place to work and be involved in all that craftsmanship. I’m going to make it my goal to one day visit this place and see where my kit was born.
Love and piece to all at DW
Really love what John Good has done and is still doing in the drumming community. DWs are expensive but man they're killer products! RIP Neil.
I wasn’t ready for the end of this video... I was in tears, I used to listen and play rush tunes in my parents laundry room growing up... Neil is the reason I kept pursuing drumming.
I didn’t see them live till much later in my life, he was such an intelligent and powerful soul.🙏🏽
Brought tears to my eyes...
Being a DW owner, so cool to see the factory, I didn’t expect to start crying at the end. Peace, be still Neil 🙏🏻
🙏
WOW what an awesome tour of their facility. I saw Rush 3 times on the R40 Live Tour, incredible and the 2 kits DW made for Neil for that show are amazing. My favorite was the double bass retro kit.
Seeing Neil's kit threw me into a loop knowing that he was an inspiration for all drummers. Looking at his drum kit is almost like getting to see him one last time. Amazing drummer and such an attribute to my drumming and for everyones.
Great job guys. Thank you. A million times
I'm glad to say I got to meet and talk with Neil. I actually worked on his motorcycle he was a very nice guy and invited my wife and I to be his guest at a rush concert
Very cool!
You are not supposed to be in tears at the end of watching a drum factory tour.
beautiful ending. thanks for posting this
You can tell Mr good was meant to make drums he so damn passionate about it and lives and dies it …good on you John .
I don’t actually play a DW anymore but I still use there hardware and pedals amazing stuff . Great vid 👍🙏
A great vid! Russ is such a gentleman. I met both of these men at my local drum shop's DW day at The Drum Shop in Portland, Maine. I bet they enjoyed the beautiful Maine coast on that stop! (And maybe some lobster too!) I drove two hours for that event down from the midcoast. Such a fun night that was. Oh and such a nice ending to this vid! Teared up a bit.. I knew Neil's passing would be a toughie and he was loved by many, but the Modern Drummer Festival tribute in 2020 really hit home how much people just absolutely admired him including our favorite drum heroes. The way his hands would fly around those many toms, such a thrill! I can still hear them now.....
Thank you.
wow...did not expect that ending.....that was beautiful.....very nice tribute !!
Thanks to all at Drum Workshop for not just the hard work but your impeccable attention to detail. Also wonderful tribute to Mr. Peart. Looking very forward to see the new life you all will infuse into the Slingerland brand. 🥁🎶
Came here to see what was new in the factory. I didn’t realize I’d be spending the last two minutes tearing up looking at a drum set of my number one idol and the reason I play drums. That hit me like a ton of bricks, but in a good way. Thank you DW.
Thanks for the love Jeff!
Great Tribute at the end. The silence just ripped my heart. RIP Pratt!
🙏
The end was just amazing. Thanks for that
🙏
Good review, thank you very much. I love your drums! Good quality and sound!
Awesome stuff
I was wondering how John would honor his friend....
Now I know...
With the very ideas that connected them on a spiritual level that they manifested into reality together... Niels drums.
Through johns excellence... came neils excellence...
All the time both of them giving themselves unselfishly to the art...beauty is in the eye of the beholder.... and in that room...
My eyes behold the beauty....
Of a true friendship...of witch the world is and will always be...
Truly grateful for..
God bless u John and thank u for all u do ..
I kneel at DW at the altar of true greatness....
Thank you Neil ...
Love
Chris 🙏❤️🙏🇬🇧🇺🇸🇨🇦 x
Thank you.

A friend recommended this video to me, I thought because of all the wonderful “behind the scenes” footage and knowledgeable chat, which I thoroughly enjoyed!
Then came the final two minutes and I knew exactly why my friend wanted me to watch. Such an honorable tribute to a man this world could only hold for 67 years.
Well done gentlemen. To see that kit and The Professor’s smile beaming from behind it again... your silent reverence was the best tribute, and let the viewer in with you.
Miss you Neil.
🙏
Beautiful tribute to NEP John!
Wow. An amazing tribute at the end. Well done!
Thank you.
Wow, the dramatic music at the end, John putting his hand on Russ's shoulder. Russ is probably thinking "WTF, John!? I've been on way more hit records than The Professor!" LOL
Amazing.
I was not prepared for the ending. I have something in my eye. Excuse me while I go shed some tears. RIP, Professor
I truly felt as if I was walking into Neil Pearts funeral wake. (That’s what we call it in Canada anyway, before the actual funeral we have a few days of mourning, I’m sure this is common almost everywhere.) and I can’t say how much I appreciate that. Although I never had the chance to shake his hand, he was and is a huge part of my life. This was very touching.
Thank you for the kind words
@@dwdrums Thank you for what yous do for the drumming community.
Like the Holy Grail of Drums. Rest in Peace Amazing Neil....
Awesome, simply awesome!
Thank you.
Got to tour the DW factory way back with Louie. The smell of wood is intoxicating. Got to hold the snakes and arrows prototype drum. RIP Neil.
Wow! i did not see the end of the tour coming to such an incredible close !!
I am thankful the kit is well protected and couldn't possibly be in better hands unless they were in my own
🙏
Pure magic.
Thank you.
If I ever go to the DW factory and I see the R40 kit in that showroom, whoever is with me might as well leave, since I’m going to cry harder than ever.
very beautiful and emotional
Thank you.
Great tribute to Neil. ❤
One word.....Thank!!!
🙏
José is the mvp
I just can't imagine a better place for Neil's R40 kit than back home with John.
🙏
Interesting video!
Thanks....
@dw drums precision quality..I used a dw set once in the guitar center drum off in hulen texas..loved the sound and quality..
Always tried to emulate Neil or I mean Rush as well since I was about 13 ..I didn't realize until about that age how the technique I wanted to master which was Rush and Neil RIP brother
This video has the best plot twist I've ever seen lately.
Wow! You Guys are the Bestest!
Thank you.
Que final tan emotivo con la vista de mi gran influencia en a batería Neil😢
I wish I could make a custom order collector series. It seems to be impossible in The Netherlands.
These drums are so amazing, and you got some nice people working at the factory.
Just reach out to GEWA and you can order a collector's kit. It's custom made so it will take some time to get. 🥁
Awesome! Thank you!
Best moment Neil pearl 😭😭🥁🙏🥁🥁
DW... just a dream for me... 😔😔😔
