  • Hi Everyone! The 50th episode is here! Hooray!!
    Let’s celebrate by checking out this really cool flower petal bead!
    It took me some time to figure it out, and I’m so glad I did.
    This is one of the coolest beads 😆….is it an implosion petal?
    Or an inside petal?
    Either way, the final outcome is simply amazing!
    Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!
    Cheers!👋🏽✨✨🌺🌺🌺

      Hi Sim! 👋🏽🌹 Thanks so much! I hope at some point you try playing with the 104….i think you would get a kick out of it! 😅 We just watched your latest….love that you tried using the mapp gas!!
      I was like ‘it’s going to take forever to melt that glass!!’😆😂 👍🏽 and it did 😅 but you made it work! lol awesome! I’m in awe of your control and skill over the glass…especially with the tubing! Great work!! Hope you’re having a great rest of your weekend Sim! Cheers- Robin 🌈✨🌹🌹🌹

      @@scottwoodresearch Hehehe. Yeah that was a fun and frustrating experience with the Map torch. Once I saw the glass wasn't really glowing the right way, I knew there was going to be some serious limitations. Hope you have a great weekend too! Sim

      Hello Frosty Girl! 🤗✨ That is so sweet of you to say! 💫🌹 This bead was definitely an accomplishment for me. There are many techniques here that I have never tried in all of my years of glass making. 😅 It has been fun and challenging for me to try all of these ‘new to me’ patterns and share them with you all!! Thanks so much & glad you enjoyed! Cheers- Robin 🌹💫✨

      @NoFri11s Hey Frosty! 🥰💫 i’m so glad that you have tried this technique! It took me several times as well to figure out the best approach. But I found the beauty and uniqueness in each one.🌹 I was so happy when I figured out that adding clear dots was the best way to go about this process… and even happier, to be able to share!! I am proud of you!🤗✨✨✨ Cheers- Robin👋🏽

      You are a constant source of inspiration and creativity and encouragement! I found your videos a few months ago and have watched almost all of the flameworking demos you’ve created. I have learned so much from you and look forward to everything you post. Thank you for making your videos easy to follow and your constant encouragement along the way! I keep thinking I should write Frantz Art Glass and tell them to give you a sponsorship or at least a HUGE discount because I have bought all my tools from them due to your recommendations hahaha.. Anyway, please know you enrich and inspire others and you are appreciated!! Sorry it took me so long to comment, I’m a bit shy, but I needed you to know how special you are to me and I’m sure many others. Keep the videos coming, I can’t wait. ❤️

    What COE glass are you using here? I’m new to lampworking and am finding my glass to be very “sticky” when trying to dot the clear on in this technique. It wants to sort of pull and deform the main bead.

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hi Teresa! 👋🏽😃 I use COE 104, soft glass. There are a few ‘stiffer’ colors in the soft glass palette but if it is pulling your base bead out of shape then either the base bead itself is to hot when you are adding dots or perhaps you might be using Boro COE 33 (hard glass) with the soft glass? That is incompatible with each other. 😳 I really hope this helps….please let me know!! 🌹🌹✨
      Cheers- Robin 🌹💫🌈

    • @Edco42
      @Edco42 Před 6 měsíci +1

      Thank you, this is helpful! My bead is probably too hot. I’m using COE 104 but still very new to this hobby so there’s a lot of technique I’m still learning 😊 Thanks so much for your reply! Love your videos; they are very helpful and inspiring.

    • @scottwoodresearch
      @scottwoodresearch  Před 6 měsíci

      @Edco42 I see! 🥰 Once you get the hang of adding dots, everything will be much easier! Lots of patience and practice!
      Learning how to read the heat through experience and experimentation will help you to achieve more success. So glad I could be of help!
      Cheers - Robin 🤗🌈💫
