- We were going to do Moratorium then we realized we'd ALREADY DONE IT!!! So that part is wrong. This is Choose Me. Loved it. What else should we do? And do you like this song? Do you agree they are kind of 90's throwback, or no?
Band Maid will be at 2021 Sakuracon, in Seattle, this Spring.
"When are they gonna be in the States?"
Ummm... this month.
Thanks for reacting to my favorite Japanglish band.
Band-Maid end september in Dallas ,LA, and New York All sold out .
December? I'm in LA in 2 weeks to see them bahd...
@@kschell286 thanks my mistake.
Yo Stan! You want to here songs that really put Saiki front and center. Listen to “Bubble” official MV and “Cross” live at the Zep in Tokyo. Bubble shows good range on her voice and Cross is a very vocally driven song. You won’t be disappointed.
I love Saiki's voice!!!!!!!
Sold-out in the U.S. sounds great to me. We had much of fun time in their live.
there coming but sold out apparently
RIP. They are coming this month but everything is sold out.
Have the maid (lol) a bad song? Nope... So impressive...

All five shows are sold out, but if you're on one of the BAND-MAID Facebook groups, or the BAND-MAID subreddit, some tickets that folks can't use have popped up.
Huh, somehow I missed this one!! Think I had gotten ill right around that time. Ah well better late than not at all for a Maidiac!! 😁🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘
You don't know it yet, but Band-Maid is the best overall hard rock band in the world. Let time tell the truth for ya!
I think the live recording is even better, it has more life to it somehow.
They could most definitely have 'been' in the 70's. They would have fit right in with the likes of 'The Doobie Brothers' ... take a listen to "China Grove", or 'Long Train Running' and tell me you can't imagine those songs being sung in Japanese. LOL!
No, but seriously, Band-Maid would have fit right in with 1970's progressive rock groups, only they would be outplaying those old geezers (like myself) by a mile (or as the kids say ... a kilometer ... the kids say that right?)
Have to agree. As I grew up in the 70's, I remember needing to hear a new sound nearing the end of that decade. Punk was good then but was seriously hard for me to find. Although I think they also would've fit nicely alongside bands like Foreigner, the pre-new wave era, they have such a gorgeous core rock sound it's tough to pin them down. As they say in grid-iron football.... fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals.
No offense buddy, but no they would not have fit in the 70s... music back then was pure garbage. The 70s is the only decade in history there was literally no good music.
@@kschell286 Well, I agree that the 70's had some pure garbage music (disco for example ... sorry dicso lovers, but it did suck) but it also had some great bands .. you did have to be listening to 'underground' radio stations (ie. university / collage stations mostly) to fin dit, but it was there and many of the bands I heard on these stations ended up being the great rock bands of the 80's.
For my part the music I listen to these days is mostly from the 90's. No, the 70's weren't a great time for music. But I do have to grudgingly admit that 1976 was one of those pivotal years where anybody and everybody was releasing an album, good or bad, new album or comeback album. That was a strangely busy year. But.... I have to also add that it always makes me chuckle when contemporary pop-culture tries to portray the 70's as this bubble-gum, happy time, when all I could remember of the time growing up was it being a very cynical period. Probably what contributed to some of the changes music was going through during that decade; and no it wasn't all about disco lol. I still agree with you David Landry.
Now, excuse me while I revisit my BTO collection. :)
@@KMASCII one of the best shows on radio, CBC Vinyl Tap. www.cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-135-randy-bachman-s-vinyl-tap
Randy playing old songs and with every song, he tells a very cool personal story relating to the song, writer, musicians, etc.
What happened to the second part of the acoustic reaction to Anemone? Did I miss it?
They're playing This month.
I have said this before, Saiki sounds like a cross between Pat Benetar and Joan Jett to me. They don't need to do any covers but I would like to hear them do some Benetar songs, they would kill it.
Totally. I always hear Pat Benatar in Saiki's voice.
Saw them last weekend in Dallas. They sold out, of course it was only 250 capacity. The sound was great. Wish I could tell you more, but too many tall people in my way.
But I will tell you this (Lord forgive me). The ladies are more beautiful in person. The videos and pictures do not do these ladies Justice.
As a bonus, they are extremely fun to be around, something modern concerts are missing. They were cracking jokes with the audience, and the audience back at them. Look up the Miku Magic Spell Time for NY, Dallas, and L.A. to see what I mean.
There's one absolutely amazing Japanese all female band (thought they sang in English) that I'd like to recommend. They are taking a break this year due to some internal disagreements with the direction. I hope they won't break up for good. "TELECiDE - Cycle of Addiction" is a good example what we have to lose with them.
Back up vocals also has a great voice shown in rock in me - live
As far as I remember, someone offered you tickets for the Band Maid concert in New York. Why didn't you take these?
I remember them talking about that. I checked their most recent B-M reaction (Thrill) from two weeks ago and the US tour is mentioned twice in the comments.
He tried to sale them to us.
@@comedianstanshelby857 Scalper? For how much?
@@comedianstanshelby857 I do remember he offered to give them to you, but then he later changed his mind and asked for money? That sh!t ain't right!
Another great reaction guys. Let's see, sounds like 1989? Mid to late 60's - Rolling Stones, Doors, Who, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin (Black Dog), Tin LIzzy. Early to middle 70's - Deep Purple (Machine Head), Beck Bogart Appice (Superstition), Mountain (Mississippi Queen), ZZ Top, Grand Funk Railroad (We're An American Band), Aerosmith, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Van Halen, Ramones, The Stooges. So I'm more inclined to think their sound is more like the beginnings of hard rock back in the olden days. That's why I think they are the best hard rock band in the last 50 years.
my #1 b-m track. pure pop punk perfection!
Dude! Saiki is badass! Check out the acoustic version of puzzle/anemone video! You’ll fall in love with the passion of Saiki’s voice, furthermore, your heart will melt with Kanami’s backing voice in anemone
Honestly I'm amazed I can see them live outside of Japan when other far bigger Japanese act playing for bigger home venues don't even seem to attempt to step out
Check out The Warning - Dust To Dust (live at Lunario)
They are in the States now
Never heard of this band, but I really enjoyed it. 💗😁👍
Please react to Rory Gallagher - Cradle rock ( Irish tour 74 )🇮🇪🎸🔥
