How to get the Technician Specialization in The Division 2: Year 1 pass holders will get this unlocked automatically but will still need to complete the 5 stages to unlock the other rewards. In this video I talk through each stage and advise on the easiest ways of completing them to unlock all of the rewards, and the Technician Specialization for people who don't have the year 1 pass.

If you are on stage 3 do the books part last so that completion of the arena will trigger the task completion for stage 4 research that needs the arena.

Those mini tanks you need to emp actually stay put when you kill the controller. They just start constantly shooting. They self-destruct when there are no more Black Tusk npcs in the area. Loved the vid. Thanks.
For those having trouble with the the 6 kills in 10 seconds part, just use the m700 sniper. Start at the left and use only headshots.

@@rogiba5115 i did it with fire launcher and aerial mine, i threw the launcher, activated the mine, started shooting, when the fire died out, i then selected the target for the mine, it worked for whatever reason

5:27 It should be noted you need to wait for RAven to stop exploding before killing him. Executing him before his pack fully detonates will NOT count for the mission, causing you to start from the beginning, or die before killing everyone in that zone.

Thanks, mate. Just nice in general to know these quick tips. I really want Technician, and this is the guide to get it *fairly* quickly. It's not the best (possibly), but it's still faster!
I have the season pass so I already have the Technician specialization, but I want the blueprint for The Send-Off shotgun and that doesn't come with the season pass, even though I already have the specialization... So I have to grind for it, but stage 4 is bugged and I can't get past the kill 3 mini tanks when EMP'd... I've killed like 20 of the damn things in Tidal Basin, bounties and the open world, but they just don't register toward completion of stage 4...
EDIT: I just figured out that a warhound and a mini tank are not the same thing... duh...

Demolisher firefly is a very easy way to destroy backpacks for the level 5 tasks.

Good note on the Grenade not working. Another thing to mention is killing the LMG boss while his backpack is still exploding doesn't count. You need to wait for that animation to end before finishing him off to get the challenge counted.

when you select the difficulty for the invaded missions, you can hold the triangle button (on PS4) to toggle between story and invaded

Me too.. when i "track objective on screen" it only said complete any invaded stronghold mission and didnt mention hard difficulty. Only when i open the full progress window i read clearly the requirement.

{{SYSTEM OVERRIDE ALERT}} For those of you having trouble with that part here are some tips:
1. The Black Tusk roll around with the mini tanks.
2. You ONLY get credit for using an EMP on a mini tank. Look for ones with the tank treads, ignore the dog-like robots.
3. You must first use an EMP blast (the grenade or the EMP pulse mod will do) then kill the mini tank.
4. If you are having trouble finding them I've found that spamming bounties leads to some Black Tusk mobs.
In stage 2 can use fire grenade and rosvell have to play alone

I did exactly what the research said to do to kill Raven at 5:27 and I didn't get it...four times. WTF. I'm reading on reddit that it's the same thing for other people too. This bugged?
As someone who has just spent hours doing this 4 times you might want to make sure its on hard and make sure the room is clear and i mean clear no drones nothing then kill his drone wait a bit like then kill him because i sat here did it right 4 xs and the one i take my time on work's
Another way to get the 20 kills for Death From Above in phase 3 is use the Striker Assault Drone. Kills by the drone count for DFA. I was doing Roosevelt Island and wasn't paying attention to the messages in the lower left corner when the alert came up about finishing research. Looked and saw 21/20 for DFA right after a drone kill.
For the strage 4 shooting range one I would use the chatterbox for the ammo replacement when you kill a target makes it easier

I have taken out Kendra multiple times by destroying her rocket pack and no completion. So I put it on hard mode, that was the ticket.
Is it the same for raven?? On stage 4?

I think The Raven in Stage 4 is bugged. I blew up their backpack. Got the animation where they're dancing cause the bullets are going off and then killed them. Nothing happened.
Same, I just did it a few minutes ago after already clearing it once from the Black Tusk and now I'm slightly pissed.

I’d say the above one for do the capitol building because in the first area you can go up on like a bridge it’s really close to where you start so you can kill two birds with one stone

I killed all enemies around Books but he never spawned his turret, tried 4 times yesterday
Step 4 gave me the most issues, I spent a good 40minutes trying to kill 6 Shooting Range targets, I was using a full on Hardwire + Acos bag w/ Cluster+Mortar and was one shooting all of them regardless of difficulty and got No Progress on it. Swapped to Striker set with an un-optimized Negev and did it in 6seconds. Things like this should be a little bit more optimized then "Have Strikers" as a Gated lock. No where does it specify that you cannot use nades, special, or skills.

Now the video was quick but I would have loved to see a time code for each stage 1 through 5 so someone could even more quickly find the desired event.

I deleted my other comment because I got it this time! I used the firefly skill to break his ammo bag then when I killed him it progressed.
@@LoAlCo ive tried doing that, killing him first, killing him last, shooting the bag before he takes any other damage then killing him, letting the bags explosion kill him. nothings proccing it at all.
@@dragoon142012 Make sure you change the difficulty too. Mine was stuck on story even though I already beat it once. I had to fast travel there first then it let me change the difficulty. Do it on Normal or above to progress

Having trouble finding mini tanks to pulse for stage 4. Any tips?
On stage 3 right now but here's my take on killing 20 enemies from above. I done that during the Viewpoint invaded mission, starting from the courtyard where you could get about 10 of them , then finish in it when you enter the second area.
I used a grenade to get the range challenge done, it absolutely works.
Didn't work 4 me. Grenades, hive, rifle...nothing. Going to try sniper next.

I can do missions on Heroic but I cannot take down 6 targets in 10 seconds without using skills or grenades for some reason.
LMG on the targets to the left in the shooting range.
If you have chatterbox, use that. No need for reloading so you can get it done within 5 seconds. If not, use an LMG.

Oh only just that then, with so many different things to do, not surprising that not all of them work, that then makes it impossible.
For some reason, the warhounds wont work for me.. I have killed at least a dozen and I'm still at 0/3

Every time I shoot buddies bag at the stage 5 it doenst give it to me.
So I got to tier four and stopped cos my friend said its a waste of time because I dont have the sesson pass to truly unlock it. Is this true that its locked behind a pay wall?

For level 3, killing "Books" as the last event and finishing the mission will unlock level 4 State of the Union. 2 birds 1 stone

5:38 ive done that part of the challenge , shooting Raven's back pack on normal and hard about 11 times now and it still wont proc the quest, stupid fucking game.

I've gotten everything done but the warhounds. I have credit for 1 out of 3, but I've killed dozens since and it still doesn't go any higher. I've killed them both in the open world and in missions still haven't gotten higher then 1 out of 3 warhounds killed. Any suggestions?
They have to be the basic warhounds. The grenadier and sniper warhounds do not count.

I have a question but it is out of topic. Of all the enemies in the game what enemy type in each faction did you hated the most heres mine
Hyena: rusher
Outcast: rushers and the tank
True sons: immobilizer
Black tusk: rusher,medic and warhound
Edit: i replace the hyena engineer with the rusher because they very annoying especially if they are a elite enemy
Black tusk elite rushers and medics can be so infuriating especially on harder difficulties. Merciless is super effective against warhounds by the way.
Gotta say the grenadiers in all the factions are pain to fight.
Anything with purple bars. Not cos they are hard to kill but they like to hide and use skills.
1.) What does "before the invasion" mean? Before the Black Tusk overran Washington? - Then I'm already out of it. Because I am on world rank 4.
2.) Is this still a game or is it more like occupational therapy?
I guess thats what it means but everything can be done at end game still. Yes, its still a game with loads of content coming this year
