  • Specializations In The Division 2 have come a long way. Trying to determine which is best is solely dependent on what each specialization offers. In this video, I go into some more details as to which specializations provide scenarios based on individual player builds and playstyles.

    Thanks for the tips! I'm 72 and two weeks ago, I purchased my first every game system (PlayStation Plus). I purchased Division 2 not realizing I need internet to play. Since I'm not skilled enough to play with others, my sense is I would not need internet. Additionally, I have no sense of where to go to find specific tips, game detains on missions, delivering the most damage to a target, what weapons are best for specific situations, etc. so videos like this are really helpful. Thanks for taking time to make this video and share

      How are you finding the game so far? Did you think the learning curve was steep? Do you have ICT or general gamer experience from before?
      I ask because I find it really inspiring that you liked into this kind of activity, considering plenty of people in their 40s, 50s, or 60s wouldn't or couldn't wrap their head around games of that complexity. (I'm 42 myself.)

      @@mikalrain I've found this particular game more challenging and a little frustrating. The frustration comes from being returned to the beginning (settlement or WH) when my agent gets killed. In the two COD (WW2 & MW 2) I am returned to a "check point" which to me seems more logical. Bottom line, I HOOKED!!!!! Very glad I made this purchase. I keep looking for other games to buy.

    Technician is crucial (for me) with those spammy drone carriers. The emp nades have a greater use and the added damage to drones, from the talent is a plus. I also really like skill builds anyway. Gunner is second for when I want to straight up dps. I love its med kit.. its saved me a few times from burst dmg that would have dropped me for sure. The slow but constant ammo refresh is also a plus, since we are dumping mag upon mag upon mag into enemies now.

    I have recently started using Sharpshooter again, basically because of the med kit, an as I'm on console the extra weapon handling helps me land more shots, plus I can give my team extra headshot damage an extra armour, which is useful in this game now, when you spend majority of time in cover, because there is always some sneak of an NPC, who suddenly appears behind you from a building , or in case any other nosey NPCs decide to come behind you just to see what happening, ( Rubber Necks) i tend to use assult drone with this build or sniper turret. lol great video 😊

    Technician has a under barrel mod that pulse enemies and work excellent with "Spotter" giving 15% or 20% (if perfect) extra dmg. I used it with Nightwatcher mask before update, now I have a backpack with spotter. The extra tier for skills is also very good for my healing drone.

    To me, Gunner has the best standalone talents (most op relative to other specializations) "regardless of play style" in a way. 1. Armor on Kill, 2. Armor Kit with Bonus (2nd best behind Firewall), 3. Stability, 4. LMG Mag. Those bonuses alone are HUGE. Armor on Kill works great to STACK it with 3pc Badger Tuff & Armor On Kill Mods. Bloodsucker synergizes with this amazingly too. If you are DPS and dropping NPCs quickly, you are stacking TONS of Armor repair PLUS Bonus Armor. "Stabiity while stationary" is SO Helpful for ARs & LMGs to allow you to stack Crit Mods on the weapon for DPS while still hitting so many more shots. So the Stability perk is just like getting straight DPS. Next, the LMG mag is the most OP of all weapon attachments. This does funnel you into a LMG build though. For me I typically use LMG as my secondary for Heavies and stuff like that. You can use a shotgun if you want to take more advantage of the Badger Tuff, but the 3pc is STILL worth it even if you DON"T use shotgun. Personally I have shotgun sidearm that can DROP ELITES with the 1,2 pow pow if you land perfect shots. So I don't feel the Shotgun buff from Badger is wasted. I went through Jefferson Trade Center on "Hard" (only, but barely after reaching Lvl 40) with Ammo Hoarders directive since sidearm is unlimited ammo. Nice advantage too. From there you can build the rest HOWEVER you want, with Gunner just giving tons of survivability from Armor on Kill (+ Bloodsucker), and DPS from Stability and Sunstain DPS from LMG mag.

    I like running riot foam chem launcher and seeker or drone heal on survivalist. Riot Foam is great additional damage mitigation since the enemies don't fire back, a great emergency button when flanked, holds groups in place for your squad mates AoEs, and it can pull enemies out of cover, sets elites up for deletion. Also softens them up with your status effect damage proc.

    I use the survivalist with a hard wire build depending on the situation....if I go full healer I use the revive give with the healing ball ...but if I want to just put effects I use the healing give with the fire turret with the hard wire so I can keep the status effects up and my turret off cooldown just by picking up my hive and re dropping it to get my turret back

  • @KyleMilewski
    @KyleMilewski Před 4 lety +2

    Regarding the Survivalist mag, optimal range increases the distance you can fire with weapons before they experience damage fall off, basically allowing you to do more damage to enemies at ranges where they are already doing less to you. This gets slept on a lot and can be very powerful if played right, basically a free buff for you and debuff for enemies that cant be countered without physically moving or breaking cover. It is a little more niche of a spec that takes playing around it to maximize, but that kinda goes with the specialization.

  • @Ya_Boi_Rubix
    @Ya_Boi_Rubix Před 4 lety +7

    I personally love demolitionist. It is built to feed off it's self. While, yes, the Artillery Turret is god tier, it also helps increase your grenade ammo very quickly. The meter fills up more when you kill an enemy with an explosive. Combining it with a seeker mine and getting all the upgrades for the Artillery turret makes it a scary class. It is all meant to help feed your grenade launcher ammo. It is also amazing for crowd control and dealing damage very quickly. Plus you never really notice how many combustables there are until you start using it. The amount of times I accidentally caused a chain reaction of combustables is insane. It is meant for causing the most chaos as possible. God getting a demo and firewall into a squad together is scary as all hell. I would suggest taking another look at it. My set up for it is, LMG, Shotgun, Seeker Mine, Artillery Turret. Also, just found this channel, very good. That's a sub from me.

My shield rarely goes down, and when it does it's my own fault. The grenade combos perfectly with the chem launcher firestarter, bosses taking 50% more burn damage after getting shot by the firewall sidearm is amazing, this class rewards you for being a mobile incinerator turret. First off, I want say that I appreciate CZcamsrs like you, Epic Slay3rs, Nothingbutskillz, LethalvD, Afflicted Gamer, etc. that make quality Division 2 content. I really enjoy your videos and the content you put out. Sorry if this comment is pretty long btw. Lol. If you are making a DPS Skill build, Technician is the way to go. Technician gives you a free Skill Tier which allows you to either go for some extra Armor (which is kind of useless until they fix how Armor works) or like me, some extra Weapon Damage so I'm not completely useless outside of my Skills. Technician synergies really well with the Hard Wired Gear Set 4 Piece w/ the Chest and Backpack. I also run a Fenris Holster with Weapon Damage and Wyvern Kneepads. If we are talking about Healing, I would say Survivalist is the best for a Healing Skill Build with Technician being #2 for a lot of the same reason as the DPS Skill build. For a more tanky build, definitely Firewall and for general DPS, it just depends on if you prefer the Anti-Material Sniper, the Grenade Launcher or the Mini-Gun. I think they all work well and just came down to person taste or preference, but I know for a fact that a Skill Tier 6 Technician build can shred things.
    Even on Challenging and Heroic, I died the least out of all of my teammates last night and I could melt bosses and enemies. I still need to optimize the individual gear pieces but it's really good. Also for my build, I run dual Shield Splinterers with Perfect Optimist which works really well, however the Chameleon is the best AR for this build, at least in my personal opinion from my experience. I also use the Drone instead of the Turret because the of the Drone's ability to be a mobile damage dealer (reminds me of being a Beastmaster Hunter from WoW). The Turret is a lot stronger but the Drone's horizontal and vertical mobility and versatility make it the better choice to me. The 2nd skill I use really depends on the situation, however in most cases I prefer to use the Explosive Sticky Bomb, but often times I switch to the Seeker Mines because Hard Wired had two bugs right now. First bug is that the backpack talent isn't working at all and the second bug is that it the 4 Piece bonus doesn't work with the Sticky Bomb Skill. If the Devs wanted to prevent the Sticky Bomb's CD from resetting with Hard Wired, they need to make that crystal clear instead of it just not working but it's not working as of this comment. If anyone has suggestions for my build, I'd appreciate that.

    Only two specilications that I enjoy are tactician and survivalist. Ironically, I use the survivalist for a heavy armor/damage build with a bit of healing. As for the tactician I built it around skill area of denial. Nothing like the shock trap with a hive or sniper turret with the sticky bomb.

  • @captainnothumbs9200

    Imo the technician spec is the most versatile. Emp grenades shut down skill users placed proxies. If you have shield users in your party pop the medkit to keep them in the fight. Free +1 skill tier and you can choose to enhance skill damage or skill heals, doing this you dont need to lose out on armor or dps if you want to have slightly stronger skills. Where it shines though is using the linked laser pointer with spotter. With the new update spotter amplifies weapon damage AND skill damage, and all you have to do is aim at someone. Not only for the damage though, as it pulses the enemies to let your teammates know where they are at all times. Bonus armor while holding a skill can help you a little bit but it's honestly not that great since they took out protected deploy. I'd say get a good spotter chest piece and try it out.

  • @stevegreedo5687
    @stevegreedo5687 Před 3 lety +3

    I've been playing for about a month now. World tier one at the moment. I chose the Sharpshooter because I've been running with a sniper rifle for the whole game. I love the signature weapon when I HIT with it, but I HATE it when I miss. ;-) I use turrets and seeker mines during missions. Then I switch to that free life hive when facing the final boss of each mission. I also like using Pulse when I am exploring the outdoor areas so that I can feel free to sprint. Fun game, but a steep learning curve. Seems like there's always something new to learn. Something I wish I had known previously. Fun, tho!

    My first thought was "WHAT, YOU CAN SCROLL SIDEWAYS FOR MORE SPECS????" (I did not know that, not that it mattered since the two I wanted were gunner and tech_)
    As for builds, I miss my leveling build with the stacking headshot kill damage buff. Use big marksman rifle, one shot first (red) enemy, second enemy, then oneshot purple enemy, then yellow. Sadly without the reds to get it going it died in a bin on WT4. Quite the jump there.

I played at launch for a few months and only really leveled up demolitionist, I want to try some of the others but have little to no points in them. Back when I was still playing the only way to get points was bounties but those were so hard you had to run your better spec anyway just to get through them.
