  • This video features the ascend to level 83 from level 41 via high-speed elevator. This is then followed by another slower one up to level 86 where the Observation Deck is located. It is possible to take the high-speed elevator from the Ground Floor right up to the 83rd floor.
I believe the reason for switching to the slower one is that the high-speed ones are installed further away from the centre of the tower, which tapers inwards towards the top.
This is the newly-opened Observation Deck that is just 2 floors below the top floor of what were the world's tallest buildings. They are still the tallest twin towers in the world, being just slightly taller than the JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai.
The tour to the Observation Deck starts with a high-speed elevator ride up to the Skybridge on the 41st and 42nd floors of the buildings. Visitors then have 10 minutes of photo opportunity at the bridge. Visitors are controlled in coloured groups. Up until a few years ago, only the Skybridge was open to the public.
