Every couple seasons... "Tobias Harris is going to Utah!" 😂
Always here for some Jazz talk, thank you James
Thanks for keeping us informed.
Damn it must be late in SLC, putting in the work James!
After kids are asleep it's prime time for rolling some tape.
Thanks for the content Nerd. Even though it’s off season, you’re still coming up with relative stuff.
I thought the Jazz sent a fairly clear message to Walker and about Walker last season. They almost never started him. Even when there were injuries he still came in off the bench. They basically started Taylor Hendricks over him the 2nd half of the season. I always thought there had to be a reason for that. I'd be curious how the Wizards value him. They desperately need a center, they have the 2nd. Walker and the 10 for the 2? IDK. I like Walker, but there seems to be an issue there between him and the coaching staff.
So barring injuries this coming season, you guys traded Rudy for 2 mid-late 1st round picks and a swap-which you won’t use as your own pick will be better. The league is on to Ainge and outside of Markinnen you have no assets. As a wolves fan, been there and it hurts.
@@eliseeden Nahh. Currently the Jazz have Walker Kessler and Keyonte George as a direct result of that trade. George at minimum looks like he's going to be a really good player, with star potential. Kessler was 2nd in the NBA in blocks per game behind Wemby. Plus, They have tons of cap space and flexibility moving forward. Gobert is owed 44 mil this upcoming season, and has a player option for 46+ the following year. The Jazz have the Wolves unprotected 1st round pick in 2025 and 2027 remaining. Plus, a top 4 protected pick in 2029. They have a swap in 2026 with the wolves. They used Beasly and Vanderbilt to acquire the lakers 2027 first round pick as well... I love Gobert. He was my favorite player in the draft, and my team got him. I think he should have a statue outside the Delta Center with Stockton and Malone. However, he was thoroughly exposed in the playoffs with the Jazz several times. I never thought they would get a trade package like that for him. They had to take it. The first year didn't work out at all for the Wolves. This last season was very nice, but, Gobert got exposed in the playoffs again. You've got Rudy for 1 or 2 years, and if it's longer, he's only getting older. He'll be 33 soon... The Mitchel trade Ainge made will go down as a top 3 most lopsided trade in NBA history with his Garnett and Peirce trade with Brooklyn being number 1.
The Jazz are open to offers for Walker. They are open to offers for any player on the Jazz, including Lauri. Does that mean they are going to accept anything that isn't an asset win for the Jazz? I don't think so. If the Jazz decide to trade Walker or even Lauri, you can be sure they are getting something better and tons of assets in return or it's not going to happen.
How’s that Rudy and Spider ‘haul’ looking? Not so good IMO. Barring injuries, the Rudy “haul” is a joke.
Good pod. DON'T MESS WITH AINGE. YOU ARE BOUND TO GET HOODWINKED. Ainge, Presti and a couple of other GM's would be off limits because you almost never win the trade with these guys. you can be sure that if Ainge moves Kessler someone will have overpaid for him. as for Harris that sound like it's coming from the agent
Idk Ainge has made 2 bad deals recently. Gave Rudy away for what’s turning out to be nothing. Spider for the same, not looking good. Kessler isn’t going to fetch much and outside of Markinnen there are few assets to bargain with.
We didn’t win with Rudy. Don’t think we will win with Walker. Not a believer in the primarily a shot blocker center. Need a center to try and compete with Davis, Wemby, Giannis, Embiid, and Joker. With either a lot more offensive or more all around game. I feel like this is our weakest position compared to the spurs in 2-3 years, but people wanna draft more guards.
Exactly.
I like Ware as a center in the draft if we can trade from 29 and 32 to the early 20s to get him. I don’t want to trade Kessler since he improved his free throw shooting a lot. His still a starting caliber center but not better than John Collins.
Plausible rumor given that the Jazz were interested in Tobias Harris when he signed with philly, but I don't see the Jazz doing this. They'd be better served by doing all they can to find the guy they want, even if it means moving up a few spots in this draft however weak it is
The entire 76er fanbase is yelling to unload Tobias because he sucks so bad! His last game in the playoffs, he scored 0 points in 29 minutes. I guess if absolutely tanking is the goal, this would be a good move.
Please trade him to the Celtics, I have always liked him when he was at Auburn. Celtics need a young front court help.
3 team trade. Lavine goes to 76ers, Bulls get what they can, and the Jazz take on Tobias to get picks and young assets.
Walker had a subpar year. Okay. But he could be the best rim protector after Wemby for years. Please don't trade him. And surely not for Harris
Tobias harris??? Come on rather have john collins
Tobias?!?? Still?! Noooooo
John collin trades
Maybe I shood 50yrs 0 titles coodnt do any worse
Harris is 31
Hows he going to help in 2-3 years when were finally competing??
Plus his contract is $40+ million
You guys are far from competing in 2-3yrs. On a chip caliber team, who on your roster starts aside from Markinnen? No one.
First of all
Thats reson even more to NOT take him because we need the roster spots for better players 😆
Secondly
How long did it take OKC and Orlando to become comtenders? Not 10 years 😂
2 years ago Orlando was 22-60
the Thunder were 24-58
It doesnt take that long
@@benhickman1151 OKC got a big leap in stealing SGA from LAC and also being bad with Chet out for a year garnering them a solid draft spot. Same as Robinson-Duncan Spurs.
Utah has no such SGA player currently. Aside from stockpiling picks and thus hoping to hit in the draft….what’s the plan if you don’t draft well? Philly tried that and went 1/3 and stuck in mediocrity after tanking for like 5yrs. Orlando is also in crappy EC, not hard to go from putrid to play-in. WC completely different.
So OKC can get better but Utah cant so they should just take Harris??
Im glad your not calling the shots for the Jazz
OKC didnt have an SGA type player until they did... and they didnt get a SGA type player by going for a Tobias Harris type player
@@benhickman1151 do you see Utah fleecing someone, anyone Ang getting a SGA type player? I don’t. This at best, if you nail a stud in this draft it’s at least 3yrs if you hit on all the drafts, trades between now and then…you’ll be competitive. If you don’t hit on them all, you’re stuck in mediocrity.
Walker was good his rookie year cuz he had a point guard in Mike Conley he got saddled with a bunch of miopic ball hogs that never pass in keyonte bricklayer turnover George Jc Colin the dung bull sexton and tht hell no one looks good playing with these ball hogs Laurie went from allstar with Conley to not being an allstar with these backcourt losers
Sounds like you should apply for the coaching staff. You really have your arms around the problems.
That Rudy trade isn’t looking so good especially with the Conley n NAW trade.
Give up the farm. Jazz need to be the worst team in the NBA for the draft.
Then you better hit on every draft pick or you’ll be the 76ers 2.0.
