    Why cannot we create duplicate db with different name. Now both source and target on same name and port

    Everything is fine how it create datafiles and control file in asm in auxiliary database

    • @DB2_Oracle
      @DB2_Oracle  Před 2 lety

      RMAN Active Duplication copies the controlfile and datafiles over the network. It connects to source Databases and creates the controlfile.

    Thank you so match, it's really beneficial, and awesome, so my question is when can I change the db name destination, to make it different?

    • @DB2_Oracle
      @DB2_Oracle  Před 11 měsíci

      Once the restore is complete, you can change the name.
