    I would say that the reason why the video did so well and you did not see the sales from it is related to it being popular on Amazon.
    When someone sees it listed they go to CZcams, Reddit, etc. to search for more info. Especially new people that do not know the value of a specialized store like yours.
    Additionally, it is accesible to everyone worldwide in different marketplaces.
    As far as the frustration as dealers I can only imagine what it’s like, it feels like they used dealers for “legitimate” exposure but then undercut them in sales as well. Not sure what the current state is but hope it’s better for you all.

    You'll be pleased to know that I've just bought the E6 solid maple tenor (the last one) in pink from you and am getting very excited to have it in my hands! Keep up the good work.

    I tried hard to get one of the E6 ukes back when they first came out but every one they sent me had a defect and their customer service was difficult to work with. I like the idea of having a store such as yours be the vendor so that the ones with defects like a back bow in the neck can be weeded out before the customer has to deal with Enya directly.

      Even after 3 years, I still love my EUT MAD in blue. That fretboard feels so good when playing, and it has a lovely sound. Awesome news that we can get Enya from a trusted dealer now.

    I own three Enyas. Nova U Soprano (will gift her to the children of a good friend), and Concerts S1 and K5 (in LowG).
    Love both for the looks and they are comfortable to play and sound really nice.
    We have an ukulele shop who sells a bunch of Enya models over here in Germany. Don’t like to buy via amazon.
    Meanwhile, I own a Rebel Creme Brulee Soprano. No comparison - but Enya build beautiful and solid instruments. Am thinking of buying a Feather or E6 one day. Like the effects 😍

    My *Favorite* -and one of my dream Ukes- is the E6 in blue. I have some $5-10K dream Ukes, but this is my 1st “dream Uke,” although I do rather fancy the Feather in blue, as well. My wife would like them in Pink. But … she doesn’t really care for copious Ukes, as I do. I’ll be happy to get my 2nd Nova U Tenor ((but in PURPLE, now that more colours are available)) and Bernadette’s signature Uke. 💚

    I have 2 Enya Ukes and I LUV them!!
    My only gripe is that I hate the Enya brand strings. Pick any other brand of string that you like and you will be good to go 👍

    Love your videos, Alex -- I didn't realize there was so much to learn about ukuleles! Question: I'm looking to purchase a concert uke under £200. I'm leaning toward either an Enya EUC-MS or EUC-MAD. However, I'm having a hard time telling the difference between them. Other than the gloss finish and slotted headstock on the MAD, they appear to have the same specs. Am I missing something? Any reason to go with one over the other? Thanks and keep up the great work.

    • @SouthernUkuleleStore
      @SouthernUkuleleStore  Před rokem

      No you've hit the nail on the head... The difference is the gloss and headstock. :)
      I think the EUC-MS is exceptionally good value for money at £149 from us. They do need some set up work but the quality for the price is undeniable.

    • @jays363
      @jays363 Před rokem

      Thanks so much for the quick response. As much as I'd like to buy from you, I'm in the US and I think I'd spend more on shipping and taxes than on the uke!! But I'm very grateful for the help and a big fan of your vids.

    The inlays on the E6 look to be lotus flowers. Playing the four ukes in person, how much of a difference in sound did you notice? I have an M6 and have just been offered a secondhand E6 for a pretty low price (about 1/3 of retail) and am wondering whether it's worth it.
    The E6 seems to have a brighter tone than the M6. Are they different types of wood?

    • @ellenroark1395
      @ellenroark1395 Před rokem

      The E6 is made of an all-solid maple, while the M6 is an all-solid mahogany uke. I have both ukes (E6 in pink and M6 in natural) and they sound very different in person.
      For me, the M6 is good for sweet songs since its voice is mellow, soft, heavenly, and angelic, almost harp-like. The E6 is loud, clean, and clear, as well as the AcousticPlus pickup system. For 1/3 of the retail price, I think you already have a great deal.
      Enjoy!

    Hi, did you play on Enya tenor K6 solid acacia? Very hard find some samples with sound or some reviews. I'm looking forward. This ukulele is beautiful but I don't know if it's worth it 🤔 cost 1000$.
    Im wondering what do you think of enya compared to other global solid wood brands like millar or koaloha etc?

    • @SouthernUkuleleStore
      @SouthernUkuleleStore  Před 2 lety +1

      I can only speak from my own experience but I don't think the high end Enyas are any better than the E6 or the Feathers which are considerably cheaper. Certainly, they are not close to a KoAloha. Closer to a Millar though.

    I play Baritone Uke but can’t seem to find an Enya one. Do they not make Baritones?

    • @SouthernUkuleleStore
      @SouthernUkuleleStore  Před 2 lety +1

      Not at the moment, no. About half the brands out there don't make a baritone as the size is much less popular in the Asian markets they are mostly aiming the ukes at.

    What is the main difference in sound between the feather and the e6?

    • @SouthernUkuleleStore
      @SouthernUkuleleStore  Před rokem

      I never know what to say when the video contains sound samples of both to answer this question... I recommend listening with some headphones as a point of reference but my take on it Is the E6 is louder but also softer sounding.

    • @SouthernUkuleleStore
      @SouthernUkuleleStore  Před 2 lety

      They certainly are but these particular models are a lot more than the average beginner would spend. Nothing about them that would stop you having fun and learning 👍

    • @FenrirInFlowers
      @FenrirInFlowers Před 2 lety +2

      I got a tenor MAD from Enya when I started as a beginner. It was not the cheapest model I could have gotten, but it was not a super expensive uke either. Plus, I figured it would still serve me well as I got better. Just looking at it or hearing it made me want to play it. 3 years later I still immediately feel the need to play it whenever I look at it. Also, I love the feel of that fretboard under my fingertips. It's so incredibly smooth. Some of these models are definitely more expensive than a beginner might want to splurge on, but I could wholeheartedly recommend a MAD to a dedicated beginner. Whatever brand and model you finally decide on, I recommend you look for two things in your ukulele: 1. That it's well setup/comfortable to play. 2. That it inspires you to want to play it.
