    what do you think? i dig em! so amazing for late night guitar practice in apartments, etc. sounds phenomenal too, especially if you like the boss sound (like I do). closest sound to a real guitar amp i've ever heard

    I travel so there is no alternative. If you travel a must have. If you use an amp at home only practice at home with headphones then probably they are over kill, Maybe. Although the way that they sound as if you are in a room is a very cool trick feature. $280 on reverb in mint condition isn't to bad. But not cheap either. If you are looking to get a set of headphones say $100 then I think the price is more than worth it used.

      definitely, in a hotel room/BnB with thin walls I can't imagine anything better

    Would love to see a full run through of all the gear you use and your practice and performance setups - I’m really inspired by your playing and progress video. I have the Waza Air and think they are incredible! Only problem is I can’t record the sound out so I’m now looking to get some kind of home amp so I can record myself playing. I can’t decide whether to go for a cheaper simple practice amp route or a more expensive investment like the Boss Katana / Yamaha THR. Also, do you practice/play with pedals? Keep up the content! 🙌

      hey! thank you so much for the kind words!! that really means so much to me and i'm very excited to post more--think there will be some videos that you might enjoy and give you some value :)
      got you, i still have the THR but in my opinion i prefer the sound of the NUX mighty air or Vox AdioGT in terms of bluetooth amps.. check out intheblues (channel) demo video of the Mighty Air, he mics it up and it sounds really good! I recorded a lot of my later progress clips late at night by micing just the NUX mighty air!
      the Spark can also get a bit bassy but is solid. I use my katana a lot-it is almost always the amp that comes out with me for jamming or performing; not only is it loud enough to gig with, it's really lightweight compared to most tube amps. i like the superchamp x2 as well for home amps, but can be a bit too quiet for gigs. egnator tweakers also sound nice and are a decent price point!

      If you're in the Waza camp firmly then a katana air is really about the best desktop amp for you. The signal chains are practically identical and we have ways now to exchange presets from the Waza to the Kat air so it becomes a fairly seemless experience on phones or out load with recording. The charger for the transmitter also comes in hugely handy and you can play both at the same time, gives you that guitar - amp interaction again really well.

      found out the mustang micro is recordable with monitoring (so you can hear yourself). not sure it would sound that great but is an option!

    Nicee i always wanted this headphones but i mostly play metal on guitar and i heard it doesn’t sound good in metal and distorted tones would u suggest it to me? And thanks for the great video 🤘🏻

      i think it's pretty solid for those honestly, i use it a lot for hard rock/metal!! if you like the boss katana tones it is very similar sounding/modelled after the amp! thanks so much!

    Great review. I would like to get them, but I do improv, so I'd really miss out on the stuff I've played when I can't record it. THat's why I'm not getting them. They sound very inspiring, so whatever I do, I can't broadcast and it will be forever lost like tears in rain. Are there anything similar like this out there but with output so that you can record and broadcast?

      hey! i know there are a lot of players who use an audio interface + software on the computer to practice through headphones and/or record at the same time! if you're not looking for pro-level sound quality and could be happy with a decent sound quality, the NUX mighty air is something I'm really happy with. quiet enough for the apartment but can record fairly well if you put a mic very close to it. intheblues got some great sounds out of it by doing that czcams.com/video/HBAucSZspek/video.html
      also wireless capability and amazing battery life! i made a short about it also--I use this and the waza air the most of any practice amps right now! czcams.com/users/shortsKPIMVXdM434

    After 3 years there no alternative to this? Even with higher price but something that allows me to jam and also to record what I'm playing damn waza!

    • @RobTai
      @RobTai  Před 9 měsíci

      curious if you end up finding something! I mentioned to someone else that the NUX mighty air sounds surprisingly good when mic'd and is quiet enough for nighttime apartment practice!
