Great review. Informative, objective, concise and focussed on user needs. Well done.
Thinking about getting one. Thanks for the review 😃
of course!
Excellent 👏👏👏
thanks!
Very nice sound ,My Donner Hush-I coming soon
wooo!
Looks perfect for practicing strumming.
It's great!
I have zero practical use for this... but I sort of want one now :) Nice demo here.
I just bought it, haven't got it yet. But I really wanted a travel guitar, the silent headphone function is really useful for me and I wanted one I could easily plug into my looper and mini amp to mess around with.
you’ll really like it if that’s what you want it for. enjoy man
this definitely made me want to buy one even more than i already did! 😂❤
😂😂
Did you buy one and how was it?
And how is it for fingerstyle?
Excellent and very fair review. Surprisingly credible tones, though obviously it benefits hugely from a little intelligent electronic assistance. Most of the criticisms of this instrument that I've seen have accused it of failing to do things it wasn't designed to do. And the price is fair.
Some people expect it to take you to the moon lol thanks for watching!
From Brazil 🇧🇷 🇧🇷 🇧🇷, great, Sir. Effects used in this vídeos, please?
Hi, I bought the Guitar hush i😁😁 nice neck and very comfortable fretboard, but unfortunately I find it a bit hard on the production strings for me 🤨🤨 I hope that by changing the strings on the guitar it will be a little softer 👍👍
Great video. I just got the maple version. I’m having trouble with it though. I use it more for travel than practice, and I was hoping to use my Nux wireless with it. But it doesn’t seem to work. The Nux works fine with every other guitar I have but not this one.
I agree, by the time i wanna practice, i’ll pick up my electric or something. Definitely great for traveling.
Sounds like the Nu-X may not like the piezo-only pickup: insufficient output, maybe?
What reverb plug in did you use? What Logic Pro signal chain and settings? That made a big difference in the perceived acoustic quality.
Some of it was just DI. Others were the Amp Sims in Logic and some were from Neural DSP
it’s suitable for lefty?
Few questions:
1) Which body wood is that? Mahogany or Maple? I dig that shade.
2) What's the scale length?
3) Have you taken a set of calipers to the strings? What string gauge is it?
Don't know why a guitar company would omit this type of information from their site.
mahogany 25.5 and they ship with acoustic 10s but you can put whatever you want on them to be honest
They're not a guitar company, they're a discount music company that produces decent stuff for very good prices. They could do a few things better, but I've bought a few things they produced any I am extremely happy with them.
Can I use electric guitar strings on it?
You can make it sound even better with an IR.
how do you mount it?
Is this the maple or mahogany version?
The battery is needed just for using the preamp? I mean can you play it into an amp as normal guitars?
Same question
hi brother nice video, i have one question, what about the strings? can i put nylon strings?
Honestly, I do not think so!
Where do you clip on the included tuner?
Wherever you can ahha
So is this not a silent guitar? I can hear you play it the whole time. Can you show how it sounds to your audience (neighbors) if you have headphones on please
None of the reviewers show this part, which is a big reason people would want to buy it!
Obviously it's going to make sound, likely the same sort of volume as playing an electric without an amp. But this isn't enough to bother people through walls and quiet enough not to cause too much bother in public places
Hey! I just got this guitar, to answer your question yes the strings make a little sound but BARELY. They make just enough noise for a tuner to “hear” it’s if it’s directly next to the strings, but honestly not enough noise that someone a few feet from you would hear, let alone in the next room.
does it have bluetooth?
Thanks for this. I'm in the market for a travel guitar and am considering this and the Yamaha Silent. Any thoughts, anyone?
you probably couldn’t go wrong with either!
@@MattKellyMusic Wow! Thanks for the quick reply, bro. Have you played the Yamaha silent? It's probably gonna come down to price for me, but I see that there are used Yamahas on the market for a couple hundred bucks cheaper than new.
@@countrymonkOSB I only know OF it, don’t much about it. But for something like this, i’d go cheaper. don’t think it’ll make much a difference.
The big difference is that the Yamaha has the next features on board: tuner / reverb / connecties for an adapter / chorus. But that's the price difference. The sound of the Donner is quit good though and for one thing also: as a traveller's guitar, the Donner is even smaller
Would you recommend this for a complete beginner (50+ years old) ?
Yes!
LEFT-HANDED???? Just wondering. I couldn’t find any left handed options anywhere
As we say in the gun community, "Become right-handed."
please share your effects pedal did you use..ty subs
Thanks for the support! The only thing I used were Amp sims from Logic Pro!
Actually this is not easy for Beginner. A bus can drive under the strings out of the box. Strings are very stiff though it shipped with 10 gauge strings. perhaps proper setup and changing good strings might help. But it is good for travel. Tone wise , it is ok when using with pedals , but raw tone lack of body and real acoustic feeling. I would only rate this 5 out of 10 if you want to use in jamming session, but perfect for travel after proper setup.
Plllllllease haha what does this sound like not plugged in??? Looking for something to take up to camp and the walls are paper thin with misery humans on all sides
Is this mahogany?
Strings easy to change ??
yes 🙌
In the specs....... I imagine its a piezo pickup
yes sorry forgot to mention it!
I just got one and it is NOT easy to play. The action is a mile high. Come clean, how much set up work did you have to do on yours?
didn’t set it up at all actually. could be something wrong with urs or you could just set it up back to normal. if it’s a huge deal for ya, take it back
You always need a batt to use it 😪
The silent part makes no sence because an electric guitar is as silent as it can be . This is only for traveling purposes
You can use a silent guitar using headphones, so you can get a clear sound and not disturb other people.
Other electric guitars are possible, but this guitar is practical without any additional equipment
While electric guitars are meant to be amplified, hush guitars are intended to be played quietly, with or without amplification. Electric guitars use pickups to convert the vibrations of the strings into an electrical signal, which is then amplified and output through a speaker
