- Does the sony A7sIII live up to it's name or is it just hype? Well this video goes in depth to find that out. Been actively testing this bad boy out in Dubai for the last 2 months, i've put it through it's paces and i have things i like and don't like about this camera.

I think i speak for everyone when I say that we would all appreciate a shooting guide (white balance, color settings, etc) and S-log 3 color grading tutorial from you
Appreciate the not sitting behind a desk for the whole review!
Guess that's our signature thing now
Yes! Idk why most reviews are done like that
😂
++++++++++++++
I like how you’re talking AND showing actual footage at the same time. Wasn’t expecting to watch the whole thing
That's how we do it on this channel. Glad you enjoyed
Love your no BS approach. CZcams needs more people like this
This is probably the best footage I have ever seen come out of this camera. Would love to see a workflow breakdown or how you go about setting up a shot. Truly inspiring!
Glad to hear that, thanks man. Will do a breakdown soon so stay tuned.
Yea I have to agree! stunning footage!
Yeah
I watched many videos its look best
still gay that we have to post, it should come SOOC like that lol
@@DreamDuoFilms it's been 3 months now and i'm still waiting
This is single handedly the best camera review I've seen for the A7s iii ! Now this is exactly how a camera review video should be, no more overly technical reviews with boring indoor camera tests. The rest of the creators should take notes !
I've seen so many videos on this camera, but this was my favorite one! Great job! Loved your shots too!
Got mine a couple weeks back, spent hours watching similar videos and yours was by far the most entertaining and educational. Right on!
Thanks man, i appreciate that
2 minutes in & you already earned a new subscriber from me bro! LOVEEEEEEEE all of the footage, honesty, and choice of words. LOVE IT! keep up the work man!
Your footage is excellent, Colours, clarity, story telling, & sound design all amazing . Your channel definitely deserves more subs.
Refreshing to see your approach of showing what your footage looks like in the reviews instead of someone behind a desk promoting a new camera that Cannon or DJI or Sony gave them for free!
Love it keep up the excellent work.!
Would love BTS of how you shoot your stuff /Gimbal/vs handheld Lenses used etc... ( LOL without giving away all your secrets )
Bought it this week
Welcome to the fam
Wat doe jij hier 🤣😂
@@mustafak4378 hahahah inderdaad man wat doet Ismail Ilgun hier met die a7s iii kopen nu is de camera geruineerd
@@DreamDuoFilms Which lenses were you using for this vid?
Say whaaa nooit gedacht je hier tegen te komen !
The Sony A7siii will be my first camera. I have been saving up for years now! It’s the ideal camera for me and what I do.
Best. Review. Hands down. Been doing a lot of research about this camera and I'm glad I came across this one.. Subscribed!
First time seeing one of your videos. And now I am hooked. You are amazing.
Hands down one of the best camera’s you could buy. It totally changed my work flow.
Great review! Have been thinking a lot about upgrading from a7iii, choosing between fx3 and a7siii. This video helped me a lot. Thx!
Nice breakdown! Appreciate you, thanks.
i have watched around all your videos in one night you are crazy man loving your content we need behind the scenes and tutorials more plus need a break down on silience video ! you gained a subscriber today
Fantastic review and fantastic video as well
Finally a reviewer with tons of great footage, thank you!
Great review, advice ans practical. The video and pictures are straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Thanks for the review! It’s all about how you use a camera!
This video is lit 🔥
Well done 👍
Such an awesome review and loved ur honest explanation and yes .. getting an expensive camera may make your images looks good but doesn’t make u a better filmmaker.
Footages FTW cinematic AF! I second another commenter, these are the best A73 footages on YT!
Awesome video, congrats. Everything looks dope, that light in Dubai is amazing.
Thanks man
Dope review thanks! Can't wait to receive mine
Dope video man, keep it up!
Ive been using the a6500 for the last 4-5 years also. Looking to upgrade. Thanks for the video!
Bro.....it's simply superb video......straight to the point 👏👏👏👏👏
omg so good those videos bro !
this is the best intro i ever seen, omg
Dude your amazing! Great review
You're
This footage has finally pushed me to switch over to Davinci... It looks so freakin good!! Instant subscribe! I have an A7siii as well and would love to see more of your color grading workflow. Keep up the good work man!
tutorial coming up soon
Well explained. appreciate your effort buddy❤️
Bruh!!! Amazing channel! Would love a how to tutorial for settings, exposure, and grading !!!
Great info, thanks man!
This is a great video. Its important to acknowledge that the A7s3 is not easier to use than some cameras, it's actually harder. im seling mine for the panasonic s5 because i just find it easier to use. but you also showed how good the camera can look when you know how to use it within its limits.
Great Review!
I am feeling bad why i didnt discover your channel earlier..
Qualiry content man..Subbed
Absolutely beautiful colours and lovely footage. I am actually looking at the Sony A74 as it's more within my budget
Love your style mate 👌
This is an amazing video ... you earned my sub and I'll be binge watching your other videos.
So happy to hear that mate, more content coming up soon and if you have any suggestions, topics you want us to cover, let me know ;)
How do you not have 100k subs yet? This video is amazing!
Thanks. We are quite lazy when it comes to uploading frequently, haha
Got this camera right away when it was released in September 2020 and ditched my 6500. I love it. It does everything a camera needs to do. I don’t have the feeling of needing anything else. Great review by the way. Keep it up. Greetings from Germany.
how is the battery? I have an a7iii and recently hired an a7iv and literally kept changing battery every 2 hours
@@khanstudioz9543 I have only 2 batteries. I can’t remember that I needed the second one during one shoot. Of course it always depends. If you’re a wedding videographer and shoot the entire day straight you probably need 2 or 3. Long story short I’m very happy with the battery life coming from a Blackmagic where I literally changed the battery every 20 min.
awesome video, thanks !
HOLLY CRAP DAT IBIS AT 300 mil THATS INSANEEEEEE, bro amazing review, keep it up.
Stunning footage and review! Only thing.. I had 2 Lexar cards go corrupt on me using the A7siii. Beware.. they're not the same company they used to be! Prograde's have been killer for me. If you're buying a $3,500 body I don't get why people complain about spending a few hundred on solid SD cards that allow you to use all the features of the camera. But everyone's different I guess
Dope review ❤️🔥
Very nice realistic review and awesome footage dude
Glad you enjoyed it ;)
Fantastic video. How do you go about the tought process of capturing the footage you do and how you put it together.
1:33 those words have earned you a new subscriber! I love those words!
Welcome to the channel brother!
I liked the video but what I really liked was your camera ramble towards the end concerning a6500 and gear in general. Wise words.Cheers
what a video man~ nice footage! yeah the APSC series is definitely not used by many to it's full potential. I also started with the a6500 and upgraded to a6600 for the flip screen and longer battery and it's a beast in a small package. was thinking of a new full frame coming up, A7S3 or wait for the A74 next year. the photos on the A7S3 look good enough for the casual photographer for sure. great points and review thanks 👍
Beautiful Footage man!! We need a settings and color grading video!!
settings is SLOG3, color grading will soon be covered here dreamduofilms.com/
One of the best a7siii review based on real life experiences
Great info. Video
Wow great video. I see you were shooting at 4k 50fps. Can you tell me what lenses you use primarily for your videos? Thanks so much!
This Is a clear representation of how It’s not the car it’s the driver. Amazing footage brother. Subbed! Can you make a video on how you developed your eye for composition, color and beautiful imagery? I’d love to see what a day of shooting looks like and how you get the “look “ how much contrast pivot etc. thanks!
Thanks man, i will do a color grading tutorial soon but as for composition, that mostly just comes from experience and experimenting
@@DreamDuoFilms will you ever upgrade to a cinema camera? If so which one would you go for?
Oh btw! For better ibis performance make sure to choose the focal length in the settings, using auto can cause those warp issues
How do you do that?
Awesome. Thanks for the insight
Omg 😱 I really loved your work !!!!
Can u pls tell
1)which lens you use
2) did you use any lens filter like black mist pro or any thing ? Because your footage looks so good
3) which color space u use s-log 3 or…
Thank you
And you are amazing
Great review and b-rolls dude. Have you tried NDs when it's too bright? I wonder if it's any good. Cheers!
nice informative and probably one of the very best a7siii review. btw, colors look sick man!! do you have any tips on how you have exposed the clips or maybe how you have graded them??
I can't cover all of that in one comment, we will make a video about it soon probably, stay tuned man
I see you’re using the Sigma 24-70. Being in a desert environment, did you have any dust-in-the-lens issues?
oh man....yes. i used it for like 10 minutes shooting from a moving car in windy conditions and the lens got destroyed. I got sand underneath the glass, the focus ring, the zoom ring, it was so painful...luckily the service fucked it up even more and i got a new one for free but man...knowing this i would never buy that lens
@@DreamDuoFilms sorry to hear that! I’m looking at at the sigma 28-70, hopefully they fixed the issue! Great video either way 👌🏻
@@phucmapvlog Thanks mate
@@DreamDuoFilms destroyed as in, image quality being destroyed?
@@DreamDuoFilms some says UV filter fixes the issue
Great video! What wide lens did you use for those shots?
I really like this style of review compared to the typical camera reviews
Really sorry you don't have an affiliate link for this camera. It was this video that made me pull the trigger on this to add to my A7Siii. Looking forward to more great content.
Great video, thank you...
Thanks for sharing. 😀
I like the fact that your A6500 is scratched everywhere, mine is still too fresh, gotta play with it more often.
Excellent review! I am still trying to decide whether to pick up this one or the fx3. Will be one or the other for sure!
Just remember that you will be happy with either one. Glad you enjoyed the video.
The SIII has an incredible EVF, and while you might not like having a camera up to your eye when shooting video, the EVF is far better for previewing recorded footage out in the field than the rear screen.
@@liamriley9816 Indeed! You have a point here. I have to say I went for the FX3 and I am very happy with it so far! The rear screen is quite bright even in harsh sunlight.
Bro u make dubai look so fckin good. Salute to you man, keep up the great work
Not sure if you know this yet, but the a7siii can actually create proxies in camera so you don't have to let your computer sit and create them from scratch. It also gives you the option of creating 720p or 1080p proxy files. The only thing to keep in mind is the 720p proxies are 8bit color and the 1080p proxies are 10 bit. This is important because if you do color grading to the 8bit proxy files and then turn the proxies off to render, you will notice a color shift, because your color grading or luts will look different on 10 bit footage vs 8 bit footage.
Hello, great shots, I would like to ask what lens you use thanks
Hi. Do you get a jittery image on the A7SIII EVF when filming in the 4K S-I 10bit codec. It literally only occurs with this specific codec and is totally smooth with no issues in all other codecs. Main screen is smooth, just the EVF view. I’ve got the latest firmware, reset the camera and tried different lenses with the various stabilisations turn on and off. Wondering if this is just my unit or a more common problem nobody is talking about? Thanks.
Color looks great here. Based on your Before shots, it looks like you're not filming in SLog3 though?
It is all slog3 bro, i think only the golf scenes and the lady in the water where shot using cinetone
great review and awesome footage! I am eyeballing the a7s3 or the FX3 each have features I want and need but neither is a complete package for me. both would be a big investment for me as I would need all new glass too *I have used Panasonic Gh5 for last 4 years.
Did you ever get the A7Siii?
@@dasboy25 no haven't gotten any new camera yet, still using my GH5
Is this autofocus great overall with any lenses? even zooms like tamron/sigma or are there a lenses which are not good for the camera and AFC is poor?
what lens where you shooting these amazing shots on
this camera is awesome. I have been shooting short films since 2014.
I don't know if I missed it earlier in the review, but for those test file sizes, were you using H.265 or H.264?
Great video! I have to ask, how did you learn to color grade your footage? I honestly feel like having a camera like the A7SIII/FX3 may just expose people's inabilities to some degree .... or maybe not. Your footage looks fantastic, especially the coloring.
That is absolutely true because like i said in this video - many people buy this camera expecting that it will make them pro filmmakers...i just kinda learned it on the go, i had the basics down for many years and now i’m just experimenting most of the time
Awesome video! So you use the standard steadyshot instead of active steadyshot because of the warping?
I do yes, but i was told that the warping could be because of the distortion from wider lenses like the 14-24 i have so i just need to test it more
Hey, which kind of ND Filter do you use for that Camera? Im Looking for the best one in Terms of Color Accuracy and Sharpness. Thanks a lot and great job you did with that review!
We’re currently using ND filters from Freewell and i think they’re great
Which lens did you use most for filming with it?
Just amazing bro...❤️🌼
Dam! That intro was sick!! Looked like an actual Sony Ad. Nicely shot and edited… 🤙🤙🤙
This is exactly wt i was looking for.. With lot of real examples than shitty talk with showing the zoomed face..
Really appreciate and New sub here👍👍
Do you have recommendations for a camera that does both good video and photos? I am more of still photo person and have for a long time stuck to Canon eos. Will the eos lens fit on the Sony?
Please give details about the lens you are using and links to get the items you mentioned...
I just bought a sony a7siii and I'm worried that it generates a lot of moiré, aliasing in video and photo. I come from Fujifilm and this has never happened to me. Have you had this problem and/or have you found a solution? Thank you for sharing so much knowledge in your videos!
Hey man are you James Bond or something? Literally 11/10 locations, shooting, clothing, girls, the whole shebang. It's awe inspiring.
Amazing video currently have a a7iii and wanted to get my color like yours can you do a vid on how you edit your colors
a7iii does has really good colors in my opinion, you just need to practice color grading more, but yes, we will do a color grading tutorial soon so stay tuned
Hey man, great video. Regarding that Active Stab, you are the first one who said it is trash. Every other video I saw of it and sample footage, seems to be so good. Not perfect of course but definitely an improvement over using regular IBIS. Can you tell me more about the problems you had with it? I want to know genuienly.
Yes you are right about the active steady shot. It might be because my focal length was so wide that the distortion confused the stabilization? But i'm not sure yet, need to do more tests, thanks for pointing that out
@@DreamDuoFilms I see. Shall I wait if you planning to do more test on it ?
The camera retails on Amazon today for almost $3,500.00. With various full frame lenses you are looking at around $5-6500 dollars.
Cheap
It's not really meant to be a consumer camera so the price is really good.
What is your thoughts if I had to pick between this and the FX3? Also, what lens did you use for the opening shots? They are gorgeous
If you have some spare cash you don't care about then sure go for the fx3, it has a nicer feel in the hand and just feels more sturdy, i don't care about the xlr inputs honestly so i didn't want to pay more for essentially the same camera + i like to have a viewfinder
Those mosque shots were UNBELIEVABLE. What lenses did you use for that?
Thanks man, Mosque shots were done with the sigma 14-24 dg dn
Can the v60 cards shoot 120p 4k in the slow+fast setting as in... shooting in camera slow motion ? at 10 bit
Hey love! What are you using to edit the saturation and contrast?
