@@mckenzie.8653 in France, we adopted it but on a lesser extent. We'd much rather cafés and homely coffee shops but our Starbucks are often stacked and full.

I love how Vogue is accepting a more global perspective of the world of fashion and entertainment. With Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Angela Baby... so on and so forth. All these Asian women have graced the cover in the past year and made us proud. Hope to see them at the Met gala.
Akash Kumar Trust me, it’s a financial calculation with the ascendency of Asian financial powers. It’s much like the somewhat lamented embrace of Instagram stars like the Hadid and the Jenner/Kardashian clan. Also you only named Asian people...that’s hardly a global eye
Healthy Halle I agree. In hindsight my comment was in poor taste. Being an Asian myself I was quick to categorise an Asian perspective as a global perspective. But I am happy about Asians in particular because they’ve always been minorities in fashion. Not to dismiss the struggles of other races. It makes me happy that young Indian girls can open a Vogue and see someone that looks like them, which wasn’t the case. Of course it’s backed by different motives but nonetheless... gotta savour the small victories! Thank you for your comment and for helping me understand what I wrote wrong instead of trolling me. I respectfully disagree with praising their attempt at a global perspective. They're still only showing light-skinned Indian actresses and further pushing young South Asian women towards believing that only light skin is beautiful. Deepika and Priyanka have done nothing in terms of colorism activism, but have instead jumped on whatever bandwagon of activism is currently trending. I'd be pleasantly surprised if Vogue ever did a feature with Jameela Jamil. Now she's an admirable role model in my opinion.
@@MiniM69 Honey, Aussies and Europeans are always included in the industry. There are tons of them. There are many African-American people as well, but there aren’t that many Asians in the industry.

What I love about these Q and As with Ana is how it showcases the broad nuances that make her a whole person. Her media persona is partially reinforced in the videos yes, but they also show many other interesting quirks that are endearing and human.

What's so wrong with wearing all black? Fashion is supposed to be a personal choice and dare I say...some people prefer to wear all black. No need to constantly get on them for it. No one is that pressed over Anna wearing sunglasses all the time or having the same hair for the longest. That's her personal style and what she likes. It's supposed to be subjective.

I would also add and do not wear jeans to a funeral, and do not wear jeans to a wedding unless the wedding invitation specifically says you can wear jeans. We had a semi-formal wedding for my brother and his new wife's family like four of them showed up in jeans and t-shirts. Not even nice jeans and button downs but like ratty old jeans and t-shirts. I don't know what semi formal means to them but that's not it. And if you can't afford something brand new, why not hit up a thrift store? There are tons of slacks and button-downs at your local thrift store just waiting for you. Boring? Yes. However, always appropriate whereas jeans are not for formal occasions.
