    Drywall guys did same thing to me on a new construction job

    You guys are very helpful and funny. Mini split weakness is their drains. They could easily design a removable panel in the bottom, but no.

    This is why you don’t run the lines before drywall. Always always always trouble with that set up
    If you can’t drill the whole and go out with everything outside then your asking for trouble and it just takes the fun out of installing them

    Hi Mikey, could you post a video where we can hear how loud a properly installed aspen pump is supposed to be; not happy about the sound of the pumps of my recent install.

    Still waiting for the day when manufacturers will have a built in condensate pump in mini splits. They can do it on cassette units, why not have it as an option on minis?

      Not necessary gravity works best

      @@PipeDoctor can’t always use gravity drains.

    How do u wire for a 115 v mini split is it just switch the black to L1 and red to L2 instead of black to L2 and red to L1 .and then purple to L3 and and grey wire nut and connect to L3 and condenser?

    Once the mini split is installed and you need to do clean out the reservoir, how do you access the back of the mini split air handler with the copper lines installed and connected? You can't pull it off the wall and most people don't have a Mighty Bracket. Do most customers call you back out once/year to clean the reservoir?

    Hey I wired that pump red,black L1, L2 and purple on 3 , gray on ground and my pump burned up.

    Condensate always the issue with mini splits, I've been using the orange pumps they seem to work well but those wells (reservoirs) due require maintenance.

    • @shanefrank3281
      @shanefrank3281 Před rokem

      How do you access the reservoir once the unit is on the wall? It is easy to get a couple of inches, but without one of these Mighty Brackets I don't think I would have enough room to pull it out and clean it.

      And when the customer refuses to maintain it (as instructed) the pump will fail, water damage will occur and they will call you up blaming you for it

    I hate to give you bad news, but you are going to have many a call back to that job. Maybe even water damage. That pump can NOT handle the humid days on long island. Cut open the sheetrock and put a shelve up for a 220v standard condensate pump, with a sheetrock access door for future service.

      The specs for that pump are up to 3.2 gal/h as long as you have minimal head. Is that not enough?
