    Shame that it wasn't obvious enough to either the presenter, or the camera man, to get the bloody vent louvre out of the way for us to see the goings on

    What does it mean if mine is making really loud gargling sound every five to ten minutes? How do I fix that?

    It would be extremely helpful to see an installation video for the YUMA pump, including the wiring work. The diagram that comes with the YUMA pump is confusing to the electrician and since mini-split systems are (relatively) new in the US, not all HVAC technicians have worked with all of the configurations. So seeing the wiring work live will help--A LOT! Thanks.

      Hello Fiona,
      Thanks for the feedback.
      The wiring on the Yuma is exactly the same. Just be aware there are multiple ways to wire in the pump. It all depends on how the fan-coil is powered. Either from the outdoor unit or independently powered from inside the room.
      All of our pumps, including the Yuma now come with a color wiring diagram packaged inside the box, along with the appropriate fuses.
      I will endeavor to make and post a new video on the Yuma though.
      Best regards,
      Sheb

      Thanks! Also, would you mind also please m a point of reassuring electricians and HVAC technicians in the US that the small gauge pump wires will, in fact, carry the power. It seems they're not accustomed to this configuration and using such small gauge wires. Thanks again!

      Got the pump installed, and it's doing AWESOME!! Is there a filter we need to replace/clean periodically? Doesn't make sense there isn't one, so any information regarding this would be much appreciated.

      It's SO quiet, yet it's pumping out plenty of condensate. I LOVE it!

    If the pump was connecter previously to 120V; would one be able to connect it to a 240V source, and the pump still operate properly? (Reference universal ballasts: once the initial voltage is applied, it is only that voltage hence forth).

    What are the maintenance requirements for these pumps? I thought I saw something about a filter--but how does the unit come apart? Where is the filter? Where do we get replacement filters? Or do they merely need to be washed/cleaned? Thanks!

    • @shebp988
      @shebp988 Před 9 lety

      Just rinse out the filter once per year and clean out the clear plastic drain tray. Keep it clean from dirt and algae.
      The filter is the round foam piece that covers the water pick up that extends down into the clear water tray.
      Just pull the outer cover off the pump and lift up on the pump and water tray to remove from the wall back plate.
      Clean the filter and water tray with warm soapy water rinse out well. It also helps to wipe down the digital water sensors once a year to keep them working tip top.

    Midland Texas - Last week I had a mini-split installed with gobi pump. Question? How long should the pump run? This pump runs for 15 - 20 minutes at time. The discharge line is clear but the pump is not moving much water. This one comes on an runs for extended periods of time even when the A/C has been turned off for hours. It vibrates the wall and is very annoying? Any suggestions?

    • @shebp988
      @shebp988 Před 9 lety +1

      Hello Richard,
      Normally they will only run for 10-50 seconds at a time depending on how humid the indoor air is. Running 15-20 min is definitely not correct. How high is the drain line running upwards? How big is the drain line diameter?
      Try cleaning the water filter and also wipe down the digital water sensors. Sometimes very hard water will leave mineral deposits that will fool the pump into running when it shouldn't.
      Also try to zip tie the drain line securely to the line set insulation without pinching it off. Often times the vibration noise is caused by the drain line vibration harmonics bouncing off of the inside of the plastic fan coil casing not actually the pump itself.

    Ours seems to have stopped working. The water tray is full and nothing is going out the tube. It’s making a very loud rattling sound. Probably needs to be replaced?

      From your post we do not know what can be wrong with your pump.
      Pls take pictures of the installation, note power supply, duration of operation, installation settings with other components of the cooling system and bring the pump back to your distributor. He can analyse the operation of the pump with help of the REFCO Pump Read program. And he then decides about the next action.
      Thank you for your cooperation.
      Kind regards

      Max suction 9.8 ft max head 65.60 ft max horizontal run is 330ft at zero head and 0 suction That’s the specs off the manual wish they would explain it like normal pump like 30 ft lift and such guess I will find out when I start the unit to see if it works I am going 5 feet up and 20 ft across and having it pump into 1/2 pvc running down the side of the house with my line set

    My pump tries to drain the reservoir but after turning off, the water drains back into the reservoir. It's like backflow.

      Install the siphon piece that came with the pump if you did flip it cause it might be backwards
