Far East Bliss used to be BIGGS Army Air Field. Starting around 2002 they began to build and turn it into what you have today. For a while they had it set up with Tent motor pools and portable barracks, kinda like you get while over seas in the middle east tours. You also have the CENTENAL CLUB there by the SGT MAJ academy. Dont forget your state of the art ROD & GUN Club and Gold Course.
WOW they still have not torn those down, back in 2006 and 7 when I was working Security for BLISS, they were telling us those old buildings would be torn down and new state of the art ones put up. You also have a Driver course there that EPPD and EPCC Police Academies use to train new police officers.
I could take you on a great haunted tour of Fort Bliss... You brought back many memories of the Fort... I would love to see the New Hospital, it was not done when I moved away from El Paso several years ago. I always Liked Fort Bliss. So many Soldiers seemed to hate it though as it is land locked and preferred post where they could make a short drive and be in a BIG city and see professional sports and so forth.
Thanks for the tour, So many good and bad memories.

Wow, this place has really expanded! We left there in 2010 when the new Exchange was in the process of being built. I can’t believe it looks the way it does now. Thank you for showing us!

Great video and I see Bliss has made lots of changes since the eighties. Almost unrecognizable but love the improvements and glad they left some of the old barracks standing. Keep up the good work guys. Thanks!

Those barracks used to be three room tiny portables in dirt . I’m surprised there is rain in El Paso 😅.

Nice drive of showing Fort Bliss. ELP is fortunate to have a strong military base there. Just curious, is that where you live near there as far as military families. Or do you live in a neighborhood in the East side of ELP? Thanks for the video. By the way, since I live in Chicago, I got bored of the current clouds during this winter season. 😄

@@julie_EnRen thank you! And thank you do much for that drive through video. We all watched it and it gave us a better view of the base. Thankful we're just around the corner of bowling alley, kids like to bowl ☺️. As for me the mall and food court is a stretch but by thr looks of it, it will be worth it to walk around there. My lil one can't wait for to play in the indoor bounce area (saw it in another yt video). Question when is the highest peak of the heat there?
