The death penalty is reserved for the worst of the worst. He has video and photos of himself abusing her for years. Then he killed her. Then he lied and misled the police. That is a straight forward death penalty case. No need to discuss anything.

Charge the mom!! She lied in interviews and she was so negligent. This abuse was going on for years. She was entirely native. She never once told her daughter to talk to her no matter what explain that stuff he was doing is wrong. I mean that’s just basic parenting if you’re a guy you’re not married to around her child she needs to be thrown under the jail as well.!!!

The grand jury found the evidence support a 1st degree charge. I will be super interested to hear what they have to support that it was premeditated.
I still think Mum knew, even IF she was scared of him, Maddie was her daughter, she’d of KNOWN any changes, body changed, behaviour, HIS behaviour etc, regardless of whether you’re a victim of DV (I’ve been there I know) YOUR KIDS come first!!! I had to get out of a dv situation, and I got my kids out 1st, I gave them to my parents whilst I planned my getaway. I’m sorry, no excuse, Mum must of known something, and could have & should have spoken up. Maddie was failed here by her own flesh & blood.
They lived in a one bedroom apartment I saw somewhere and they all shared a bedroom. Whether that's true or not, there's no way in hell that this has been going on all these years and the MOTHER didn't have a single clue!! I cannot wait to see her mug shot! This is horrible, disgusting, grotesque, and just so sad... and there's absolutely no way I'll ever believe Jennifer Soto is innocent.

Probably grieving, blaming herself and no doubt reeling from the reality of having the wrong man in her life. She didn’t strike me as someone who is extremely intelligent and probably was easily manipulated and believed what this man had told her. Ask yourself Would you put yourself in front of the cameras when your heart and soul has been ripped out of you?
