The best way to clean gloves, is wiping them thoroughly. additionally using anti-micro disinfected (chemical) or you can use 45% vinigar 45% water +10% tea tree oil mix. and spray the glove down. I recommend using Boot dryers to really dry out the inside of the gloves.
Socks, with Cedar wood chips, and additionally using socks with baking soda help to remove the smells.

I needed that! :D thanks guys, any advice on how to deal with busted up knuckles? I was working the heavy bag with no gloves and it looks like I was punching sand paper, I've had to take a while off boxing and focus on bjj while they heal, any ways of speeding up the healing process and how long will I be out for? I've torn skin and some swelling so I'm playing it safe. thanks again :-)

+karl warren Glad you liked the video. First tip: don't hit the heavy bag without gloves. The skin will rip (like it did in your case) and you'll be at high risk of injuring your wrists and breaking your fragile hand bones. The best tip for healing the skin is to just wait unfortunately. So have fun at BJJ until the skin is healed :)

healing the knuckles can be sped up by use of topical steriods, such as Mometasone Furtate ointment, Hydrocortizone etc, depending on if its an open cut or not. I would reccommend not hitting the bags without gloves as your skin isn't made for the friction as you've experienced first hand. also the knuckles aren't meant to hit surfaces like that which is why we wrap them. unless other animals, we haven't developed the greatest striking abilities.
