how’d you come up with *tragedy in place of *blow in the first stanza? that’s like 3 syllables vs 1 (?!) lol also the final line doesn’t need an And at the beginning, it’s simply ‘Love came here and never left.’
The words are lovely to the song. Real poetry. Even without the music, and what is poetry exactly? Well, it's not just a bunch of words thrown together. It depends how you read it, where to stress or pause so that it sounds more profound. All in all, a very nice song and sung with a beautiful voice, nice and rich, and what a great shame she is no longer with us. Heard this at the end of a documentary Independent Lens “Unrest” which is about ME/CFS. If you don’t know what that is (or even if you do), I strongly recommend watching it. Needless to say a stunning way to end the film, really haunting, lilting melody with a wonderful voice.
