I really admire how you worked hard for your degree and are using it for a “grown-up” job instead of just laying back on CZcams.
Wow it was too weird seeing you go from your first day of college to your first day of work...it almost feels to soon! But I'm very proud of you for accomplishing so much at such a young age, you'll never be too young to do anything because you are too mature for your age it's INSANE!

I understand the baby feeling. My first job was when I was 16 and I worked around doctors and “big kids” (adults)!! There were definitely problems as I was in charge of training some adults and they did not like that I was so much younger! Once they see you’re working as hard, or harder, than them, they will respect you and your work. Give it time!
Same here girl! My first job was in a pharmacy. I was still in high school
Mine was a dental laboratory!

I currently just graduated at 21 and applying to medical school and looking for a gap year job. God has given you soooo much responsibility and opportunity to foster and that’s such a blessing!! I love how when you were talking about how you feel insecure about your age, you immediate reaction was “I need to pray about that.” You have such a beautiful soul and that shines through in your videos!
Coming on one year at the my first FT job after graduating college (woo!!!). Just a word of encouragement: it'll feel a little weird for a while, but post-grad/work life gives you a whole new sense of accomplishment + makes free time so much sweeter! It took me about 6 months to really feel settled in my new normal, but I now love it. Thanks for sharing your journey! Also, your work outfits are giving me so much inspiration! I've gotten into a rut with my work clothes so I'm going to try and switch it up.

Hi Michelle, I am totally with you with everything you said in this video. Similar like you, I graduated at 21 and immediately started my first ever big girl job and felt insecure about being so young in the adult world. 9-5 was an adjustment but SO worth it! I'm glad you have a support team like I do, it makes a huge difference! Pray about those insecurities, I did and it took some time to adjust but honestly, praying made the biggest difference! Love you!

I love this! I just started a 9-5 internship for the summer June 10th, and i completely relate to how you felt. The beginning of the week was a little weird and i was out of my comfort zone and now I’m in a routine and love it there !

This was so encouraging to me! I moved away from home, started grad school, and started two part-time jobs last year. So it felt like a 9-5 and it was so exhausting! But the longer I did it the more I enjoyed it and felt like I knew what I was doing. ☺️ It’s definitely a stretching but good season of life. You are going to be so great at this job and I’m so thankful to be able to share some of your journey! ❤️

YES Michelle!! What you were saying at the beginning is so SO relatable. I recently got my first office job in my field of study and I'm also 20 so I completely get it. It's been about 2 months and has been a long transition but such a great season of growth. Really leaning into what lessons God has for me in this season has helped and seeking out wise counsel around me. Also, something small but decoring my office to make it feel like the safe place to work in that it is and since you do spend so much time there has really helped me!! Congratulations again! Totally get what you mean about feeling really young. I used to put myself down and hold back from sharing my opinions at work because I felt like they weren’t worth as much.But then I started looking at it like how cool is it that I’m in this position so young and that in itself proves how worthy you are

i'll be a college senior this fall but i also started my first corporate 9-5 job this summer and it's been such a whirlwind....makes me want to CHERISH my last year of college more..last moments of freedom lol
Michelle I felt the same way when I started my first job too! The next person in age to me was about 6 years older than me and even though I knew I was qualified for my position, I felt that I shouldn't be there and that I had no clue what I was doing! But don't worry too much! You are qualified and you deserve the position you worked hard for! I'm so proud to follow you in this journey!!
The day you posted this was the day I landed my first time ever in New York! One of the most unforgettable trips of my life, much love! :)

I totally relate to what you said about always feeling too young. I'm going to be graduating college a year early (plus I've always been the youngest in my grade due to where my birthday falls) and I'm starting to seriously research different career options rather than just glazing past them, and it feels so weird!
I’m actually really excited to see content like this, (not to shade other yt’ers ) but it’s nice to see what it’s like working a regular job. Most of us can’t relate to just grabbing coffee in the AM and sitting on a computer all day

I love seeing your outfits! My workplace is completely causal (everyone wears jeans everyday), but I love seeing more of business casual outfits! I always freak out when I have to dress business casual bc I don’t know what to wear 🤣

Apartment hunting and moving in NYC is bananas! I will say, if this is an apartment you see yourself staying in for a couple of years all of the fees kind of work themselves out. However, if it's only for a year, try to find something no fee! You can also ALWAYS try to negotiate the broker's fee + monthly rent. Worst they'll say is no, but I've moved a few times in the city and never paid asking.
I graduated a year early from college as well and just started a full time job in marketing in Austin and so totally feel the same way you’re feeling!! I can also feel young and a little bit overwhelmed but after finishing two full weeks I feel way more confident and used to the routine and all!! good luck to you as well! It can be a riot the first few weeks working full time. Continue to workout throughout the week and pick certain days of the week to do different chores.

I used to feel insecure about my age. I just started my second “internship” and the team I’m on is much younger. It’s an entirely different experience. Now I feel like I’m maybe not learning as much as I could, but I have a lot in common with the people I’m working with. They offer me a lot of insight into finishing school and getting a job, not so much about having a career/the “long-term”. Starting a new job is always interesting, best of luck.
