Raeburn I am with you there !!! Pi$$ poor riders all over the place and yes I was into horse for 45 years, and gaited horses, and was a certified riding instructor, and trainer and owned a riding facility and damn I did not see anyone there I would brag on !!! !

#1) This is NOT a "trail", it is a paved roadway. #2) Riding like this on a paved road will likely cause horrible, painful irreversible damage to the horse's hooves and/or legs. If no damage is done, considered yourselves VERY lucky!

I raised, showed and rode Arabians for over 40 years. I agree with others who have said that riding on Blacktop is hard on the Animals, it is! Especially high Stepping Horses. All of you who ride like these people should start thinking about your Horses, not just your fun. Stop abusing your Animals, their Feet, Legs and Backs can’t take ridding on Pavement for long periods of time. All of you who do these things are damaging your Animals. Start thinking about your Animals safety instead of your fun….

Beautiful sight and lovely 4 beat sound of the smoothest ride ever. Gaited Horses is the best and most fun ride in my opinion. Where was this ride at ? We used to ride from Phenix City Alabama to Montgomery on the Alabama Wagon Train. Sure do miss those days.

Also, many of the riders showing TWH are HUGE men who intentionally ride so their weight falls mainly on the hind end. Lots of the people in this video need to take some riding lessons. It’s always a bad idea to mix careless drivers and careless riders together. That’s an accident waiting to happen. I’m sure this group was having a good time and meant no harm to any of the horses. I just wish they would be more cautious.

Awesome 👏🏽 I used to ride horses in Compton back in the early eighties and we used have a trail that ran from Compton along the water corridor all the way to Long Beach California and it was super fun the old school cowboy was only ones who knew about if wasn’t past down to the next generation. I believe it’s still there I’m sure because now a lot of Mexicans are in that area now but it still a lot black cowboys still carrying on the old heritage.

I’m from East TX. Lufkin to be exact. I almost thought this was outside of Tyler,TX. Trail rides with Tennessee Walkers and Saddlebreds (both Gaited) usually goes with the races with Standardbreds (Pacers)Beautiful horses. I’m glad to see my people together having a good time. Love from VA!

are all these American saddlebred Tenesse walking horses and race? down here in Australia our Trotters and Pacers only get broken to harness then after retirment someone has to break them to saddle, i wish they were more like you guys. ps how many of ya al rode?

It's not foolish talk at all. I'm in North Carolina and every year in the southeast rural county I live in, all the black people that keep horses have a big home coming and pig pickin and black riders from all over our state will join up and they ride like this. Here in NC, black riders like to coordinate their clothing and tack. It is stylish! I would have loved to join up with them but I always had to work. One year some riders came down here from Raleigh with their trailers and tack and stopped at a grocery store and I talked to them a while. I asked them where their horses were and they told me that it was too hot to bring them. That is how much they cared about traveling long distance in severe weather. It was indeed humid and hot like crazy that year. The thing is, not many black folk themselves know about horse keeping and they would exclaim the same thing as BOSS! At work I get asked a lot about horses by my co-workers. So, it isn't racist or foolish because most city black folk are unaware about those who love, enjoy, and keep horses. Wow.@@GALLEN-vf7uy

Don't you think that's bad on their hooves their feet have got to be in such awful horrible pain let alone their backs and mouths like I have seen some heavy people yanking the poor horses head around with the reins.
Just a heads up! It can injure the horses on pavement since its not a natural ground the usually stand on, make sure to not gallop them on the pacement since it could injure leg bones temporarily.
