    Brother.. this is the best video i could have ever found, im doing a all skar audio setup, dual 8” sub, 2 amps, door speakers, and was trying to figure out how to run the wires for the front to rear speakers.

    That's a dope way to do it💯 I normally get a 9 wire and run that when I run my rcas but this saves time and a lil money on extra wires

    I feel very stupid for not thinking of this lol I just rewired my old grand Cherokee from front to back put all new speakers a 15” alpine s 6.5pioneers in the rear doors 6x9 jbl pioneer head unit single din older model and amps are alpine 1000 mono and a kenwood digital....... its kind of a hillbilly mash up of gear but I did the whole thing for under $400 lol thanks to you and your videos I can make it sound it’s best, I’ve been doing stereos for 20 years just my own stuff and I’m never happy with the sound but I think I will be now I’ve been watching your vids for the last hour or so and learned more then I did with my own experiences lol great vids man you explain things very well and you’re not just helping out the new guys getting into it, there was no youtube when we were kids and we didn’t have anyone to help us out and give us some needed knowledge lol apparently it’s not normal for your subs to smoke 🤷🏻‍♂️ ahaha thanks for the help 👌🏻

    🤯so simple… idk why I didn’t think of this.. I was gonna disconnect the front speakers from the head unit. Then run amplified wires straight to them🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️.. thanks dawg!!

    I've done that a couple of times but my vehicles are old enough I worry about the factory wiring not being capable of handling power. So far it's worked out good though.

    You didn’t have to cut the factory harness . You could do it on the stereo adapter side too .

    Great tip. I would have kept the aftermarket harness and used it to make the jumpers. This way you do not need to cut factory wires. You could even buy another harness and keep the one attached to the radio.

      Yep… however, I wanted to clean up the clutter back there and not have a bunch of harnesses. It’s Gonna stay there

    I would have just kept the aftermarket wire harness on and just spliced from there to keep from having to cut into my factory wire harness since you're using the RCAs from the headunit to the amp. It would've made it much simpler than having to figure out which wires are which on the factory harness. 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂

    Been doing that for decades. Using the aftermarket harness or cutting the factory harness gets the same results.

      Watch my other video of the actual build, as i discussed that I did orient my subs in every possible position to see what I liked best. Firing them forward gave me exactly the sound stage and dynamic I was looking for. To me, key words (to me) they sound much better currently as is.

    How are you getting a signal to the amplifier to send to the 6x9's? Is it ok to 120 watts through those wires from a small amp(Timpano)?

    I don’t see why you wouldn’t still use the adapter harness and just jump those wires. That way you’re not cutting the factory harness. Good video 👍🏻

      Many ways to skin the cat here. I removed the entire harness all together to declutter all the wiring to be more minimalistic. Cleaned up very nice back there without the clunky harnesses in the way

    Whoever sell the speed wire is mad dude 🤣🤣. that's what I do with a small system,.. I done this before in 2008 and it's so easy to work without mess with all the paneling around the car.. and that's true broo not recommended for a system over 150 RMS per channel,.. great video overall,, view and liked.

    The fastest way is to use head until fades if they match then you will know the head unit wires are matching

    I know this was a year ago but why would you cut the factory plug of when you should have used the adapter plug from the head unit and just wire them together makes no sence.

      Did not lose bass, and sounded much cleaner to me. With seats down. If you carry people in back stay often and can’t put seats down then leave them Rear facing

      Yes, like I said in my video man this is just a budget build for my daily driver. I have my competition build that I spent over $15,000 in equipment in my Hummer with the best of the best that the industry has to offer. Besides, for the money, these subs are awesome!!!! I am so impressed. And that’s saying a lot coming from me. Wait for my next video to come out as I demo this setup

    This sounds good if you have 4 channel RCA's to feed the amps, not all head units have these, mine doesn't. I have to use the high output head to speaker wires to feed an amp, so this won't work for me.

    Lets say if the factory speaker wire was disconnected from the speaker . Now that we have 4 different color wires . One with a stripe and one without on the factory wire ... How do you tell which wire is positive and which wire is negative. Cheers

      Usually the wire with the stripe is negative. Since we all have Google it won't hurt to put it to work bcuz some car manufacturers are butt backwards and don't follow the rules.

      I do, it’s only 9 volts. If your tweeters blow from that then I’d replace them anyway lol.

      It’s only getting 5.4 Watts when you pop the speaker. Using ohms now. 9 volts times 0.6 amps equals 5.4 Watts.

      No, they are all running independently off the amp. They can be different wattage

    Don’t know why you would do this method over a 9 wire/speed wire method. If you have to run power and signal to the amp anyways why wouldn’t you just run some speed wire along side hour signal wire to the head unit and splice into your harness. Much cleaner and easier

      Best way is to rewire it so they are ran on separate channels and not inline with each other

      Because I removed ALL the harnesses to clean up all the spaghetti back there. It’s very minimalistic and clean now.

      As long as you are not running a lot of power through them that’s fine. Anything over 100-150watt rms I’d run new wires

      Yes, you could use harness. But wanted the least amount of clutter/ harnesses behind the dash. Dont plan to uninstall. Once it’s in, it’s staying there
