I just realized I got the same kenwood deck...how do you adjust the clock?

Im gonna be honest, i have no clue on anything you said. I can install a system all day run wires, all that but when it comes down to tuning im 10000% lost. It all sounds like gibberish to me. Its like my mind can't comprehend it. All i want is for my 2 12s to hit hard and my mids and highs to sound good and idk how to do it.

When first buying subs do you hafyo brake them in? And if so would keeping the bass knob half and under be good

Always pain dealing with smd......they also make you run everything flat before tuning, i like this method better

but amplifier output is dependent on speaker impedance, so you need to retune your gain everytime you swap speakers, or wire to a diffrent resistance. so wouldnt the tuning get irrelevant as soon as you plug ur subs in which have a diffrent resistance than the measuring device?

Will 50hz do the trick or would you recommend 40hz?

Not sure if this message will make it through to you since I feel the channel my no longer be active, however. My eq on stock head unit is NOT amplified. I'll be installing two 12" subs with an LC2I and amp. When tuning, do I need to worry about setting eq properly for the non amplified cabin speakers (door and dash tweets) as far as the treble and mids are concerned prior to setting volume on head unit and setting the gains on the amp? You briefly spoke about if your treble and mids were hooked up to an amplifier but does the same rule apply if they are not? Also, can the treble and mids be adjusted without worry about the subs? The way alot of ppl listen to songs are now via cell phone Bluetooth, apple play, android play or music downloaded onto a USB thumb drive as cd's are a thing of the past for the most part. Unfortunately those songs have an abundance of different quality from one another as one songs vocals might be weak and without touching the volume, the next song is crazy loud but the volume wasn't touched. Normally, it happens because the song downloaded might have been uploaded to the internet in a poorer quality as it was recorded causing the volume to fluctuate much differently. Hope you can clarify and understand what I am asking. In other words, can I adjust treble and mids (non amplified) safely without the fear of blowing subs or should I still go through the steps as if the speakers were amplified? Thank you!!!

This actually worked. But I heard distortion on tweeters first than midrange.

What do you think of Rockford Fosgate and Skar audio? I’m not trying to be LOUD!!! Dgmw I want it loud’ish but more sounding good and clean with loud(ish) mids, highs and a little bit of sub. Like a couple under seat 10’s (which I’m currently running one and it’s nearly perfect. Sounds GREAT!) and some good mids and highs. Currently running a cheap aftermarket $200 Amazon head unit on stock speakers. That sounds like complete garbage! Especially when I turn off the sub, I can’t even listen to it, it sounds so awful! But I recently ordered 4 Rockford 6x8 speakers for my doors P1683’s and a Skar 500.4 A/B to replace the stock speakers. Any advice on how to hook that up? Just RCA from HU then speaker out to speakers? Like regular? Or are there any tricks to make it sound better/louder?

So am I correct in thinking if you have a bass/gain knob up front that makes the gain on yhe amp defunct once connected and if you disconnect the remote bass knob that gain on the amp is now working.

When setting the gain, do i have to max my level settings? So for example, for the door speakers i can switch from -20 til +10. So when setting the gain, do i have to put in on +10? And from there setting the gain?

no matter what i set my gain to my speakers are still chopping. i have absolutely no clue why. every video on the internet assumes you have some $5000 tool to measure sound and no one on youtube knows how to set subsonic or lpf. even watching your subsonic/lpf video didn’t help. because your subsonic needs to be tuned to whatever your subsonic are tuned to but how in the hell do i know what my subs are tuned to if they’ve never been tuned?

The head unit should have an adjustable volume max lockout. Or build the head units so they wont clip at max vol.. that would just make too much sense.

Is it a concern that the handheld o scope doesn't have the range to see both sides of the sine wave? Mine is also this way and didn't know if you could clip on one side of the sine wave before the other?
