    I’m Swiss so I’m often exposed to French, German, Italian, English and Spanish, I also listen to a lot of kpop, Chinese and Japanese song, but personally I think any language can be beautiful depending on the person who speaks it. Someone well-educated, gentle and well spoken can sound incredibly soothing to the ears regardless of language.

    I learn German because I love the way it sounds, I just love everything about it. I fell in love from the first moments. My first teacher spoke German so soft and beautiful, that I immediately wanted to speak so myself. I never thought about how beautiful famously “harsh” German can be before that. Unfortunately that teacher left the school soon and for six years I didn’t really had a chance to learn the language properly. So happy that I restarted my German lessons!

      Dutch & English are objectively the prettiest and most refined and most distinctive languages in the worId with the most pretty and poetic words, and Norwegian comes very close too, but all Germanic languages are gorgeous, actually, followed by Welsh and other Celtic languages and Latin languages such as Portuguese / Gallo / French / Galician / Catalan / Spanish / Occitan / Latin / Esperanto / Italian and the other Italian-based languages! However, Dutch & German & Portuguese have something in the way certain diphthongs are pronounced that makes these 3 languages the only languages with a hot sound, so Dutch & German are the hottest-sounding Germanic languages, while Brazilian Portuguese is the hottest-sounding Latin language! And the easiest to read / write / learn are English & Dutch and Nordic languages like Norwegian / Swedish / Danish (Icelandic & Faroese aren’t easy to read / write / learn, but they are really gorgeous too) etc, while Welsh & Breton are the easiest Celtic languages and Italian / Spanish / Esperanto are the easiest Latin languages ever with the easiest pronunciation and spelling!

      I am studying languages, and have seen / heard many words in all these languages, and I’ve also seen and heard enough words in almost all the other known languages, and I noticed that most languages aren’t a pretty language because they only have a few pretty words, and a language must have almost only or mostly pretty and well-constructed words (without repeating the same syllable and with good letter combinations aka letters that go well 2gether) to be considered a pretty language, and Arabic / Polish etc aren’t even close to being a pretty language because they don’t have many pretty words, even though every language has at least a few pretty words, which is something that happens randomly in most cases!

      Germanic languages are the best languages ever following the most logical patterns qua word construction and pronunciation rules etc, which makes Germanic languages a logical language that looks very organized and easy to read / write / pronounce etc, and a logical language is automatically a pretty language with mostly words that have the perfect visual harmonies and great letter combinations, and very logical pronunciation rules that create that perfect auditory harmony - most ppl don’t know about languages and linguistics and word construction etc and haven’t heard many languages, so ppl usually say very subjective untrue things that aren’t based on objective facts, however, I am the exact opposite, so I always share the facts and the important details, as well as examples of words etc!

      It’s also important to note that the voice and the intonation of the speaker influence the overall sound of a language, as the speakers are the actual ‘voice of the language’ so to speak, so if someone has a rougher and deeper or darker voice, it will make the language not sound so good, whereas a speaker with a pretty timbre or a speaker with a softer and lighter and higher voice will make the language sound really good - so, in order to really get a good idea of what a language sounds like, one should listen to speakers with softer and higher voices speaking the language, and one must also see the written form of the words, to see what the actual words look like, in order to really know for sure if a language has mostly pretty words or not, because if one only hears the language, if it’s not a language that has mostly pretty words, it may still sound nice to the avrg listener if the speaker has a softer and lighter voice, because the listener will automatically be focused on the sound of the voice of the speaker rather than being focused on the words themselves, so it’s easy for listeners to get the idea that a language with mostly non-pretty words sounds good or that a language with mostly pretty words sounds bad if they only listens to the language being spoken by one or two speakers, and if they never got to see the words in their written form!

      Dutch isn’t a very known language, so most don’t know how pretty and poetic Dutch words are! It’s really great for poetry and lyrics! 83 of the prettiest words in Dutch are - ver, vlinder, verloren, feest, adem, vaste, veel, verdween, heel, het, heen, voorbij, vandaan, verven, domein, verwaald, drijfzand, lief, leegte, liefde, heerst, einde, zonder, weet, avond, vult, gekomen, centrum, moment, pad, loop, overheerst, vallen, twijfel, vinden, kelde, wald, ter, geweest, vrees, grenzen, verleg, rein, van, stellen, wilde, steeds, verstreken, evenbeeld, bleef, steile, vrede, stem, wens, net, tijd, stille, verwenst, zalig, ochtend, zilverreiger, weer, overwint, heerlijk, zin, hart, beweert, vanaf, kwijt, wolken, mes, verliezen, dwaling, verlaten, rede, trek, tuinhek, brand, verdien, blikje, vertellen, verder, vertrek etc!

    • @evefreyasyrenathegoddessev4016
      @evefreyasyrenathegoddessev4016 Před 11 měsíci

    • @evefreyasyrenathegoddessev4016
      @evefreyasyrenathegoddessev4016 Před 11 měsíci

      It’s also important to note that the voice and the intonation of the speaker influence the overall sound of a language, as the speakers are the actual ‘voice of the language’ so to speak, so if someone has a rougher and deeper or darker voice, it will make the language not sound so good, whereas a speaker with a pretty timbre or a speaker with a softer and lighter and higher voice will make the language sound really good - so, in order to really get a good idea of what a language sounds like, one should listen to speakers with softer and higher voices speaking the language, and one must also see the written form of the words, to see what the actual words look like, in order to really know for sure if a language has mostly pretty words or not, because if one only hears the language, if it’s not a language that has mostly pretty words, it may still sound nice to the avrg listener if the speaker has a softer and lighter voice, because the listener will automatically be focused on the sound of the voice of the speaker rather than being focused on the words themselves, so it’s easy for listeners to get the idea that a language with mostly non-pretty words sounds good or that a language with mostly pretty words sounds bad if they only listen to the language being spoken by one or two speakers, and if they never got to see the words in their written form!

      Russian every name (male or female) has several dozen variants, each variant has its own color shade, but in everyday conversation only 5-6 variants (basic) are used, and so with every word in Russian. Russian version of Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace, for example, consists of two volumes, English consists of 1 volume, English conveys only action, in the Russian version of the book one volume is action, the second volume is small nuances that are hidden from the English-speaking reader. I believe that only native speakers of Russian can truly feel the world around them. You can learn Russian only from birth. And at two years old, you should already speak Russian well, otherwise you will have problems in the future. Russian Russian parents therefore make every effort to get Russian children to start talking from an early age and spend a lot of a lot of time and effort on it. The difficulty of the Russian language is that it is necessary to correctly convey not only the action, but also to harmoniously select variants of words so that you are correctly understood. Therefore, there is no double or triple reading in Russian, the speaker can accurately convey the meaning of what is said. Therefore, Russians speak only the truth, because any falsehood will be immediately noticeable.
      PS: Russian school the most difficult subject is not mathematics, physics or chemistry, in the Russian school the most difficult subject is the Russian language.

      I am studying languages, and have seen / heard many words in all these languages, and I’ve also seen and heard enough words in almost all the other known languages, and I noticed that most languages aren’t a pretty language because they only have a few pretty words, and a language must have almost only or mostly pretty and well-constructed words (without repeating the same syllable and with good letter combinations aka letters that go well 2gether) to be considered a pretty language, and Arabic / Polish etc aren’t even close to being a pretty language because they don’t have many pretty words, even though every language has at least a few pretty words, which is something that happens randomly in most cases!

    as a native Frenchman, I am in love with my language. However, French is always described as soft and fluid as opposed to German which is very guttural and rigid. However, I find that French has two things in common with German: the pronunciation of the R which is often mocked for German when we pronounce it exactly the same way in French, as well as the sequence of consonants, although that in French it is much less hard than in German, as a Frenchman, I have the impression that sometimes our language can be quite consonantal

      oh yeah totally, even italian has many many consonants and harsh pronunciation and it's perceived at romantic but when german has the same sounds it's "aggressive" 😂 it's just not very objective

      @@caroskaffee3052 The harsh pronunciation is the one made with the throat. It's not a question of how many consonants there are. There are simply no harsh sounds pronounced with the throat in Italian. These sounds are found in French, Portuguese, European Spanish, German, Arabic, Hebrew, Dutch...
      Italian, Greek, Romanian and English, however, do not have these sounds. However, I don't find German to be particularly harsh compared to all the languages of the world. It depends on how you speak it.

      @@zaqwsx23 It's funny to see how basically everyone has their own "pseudo" definition of what an angry language sounds like. I have had people tell me german sounds angry due to the consonant clusters, due to glottal stops, due to the throaty "ch" sound, the rolled r (even though that's not in standard german)..it can't be all of that 😂 I agree tho, many maany language have these characteristics but apparently it only becomes a "problem" when german has it because people love to see their own stereotypes being proven. as you mentioned, french, portuguese and spanish have these "angry" characters as well, but none of these languages has been stereotyped as "spoken by evil people", instead most people think about vacation and sunshine when they think about the countries where these languages are spoken

    I'm Mexican and my favorite language I'd say is Portuguese I love the Brazilian accent but unfortunately I don't know when I'm gonna be able to learn it because I'm in Quebec province currently so I'm learning French. I should say I'm struggling a bit due to at university I took Italian courses so now I get kind of confused cuz Spanish, Italian and French have very similar words (all the romantic languages) and plus English. I really admire all those people who can speak many languages without any problem and can just switch from a language to another .... that's super cool!

Secondly, as Paulo Rónai (a hungarian-born Brazilian translator) said: Brazilian portuguese is a language spoked by little birds. Also, we kown the differance between a minute and a little minute (minutinho) [this is not exclusevily of our culture] :)
