i've been coming back and looking at Cliffy B's misadventures, and I just want to remind anyone else that might be revisiting this: Titanfall 2 still has a playerbase. in 2020. it's carved out a lifestyle following that lawbreakers really really wanted. And Apex came out of nowhere to take a chunk out of the battle royal market. Respawn has done everything Cliffy has tried to do, and they did it better. Masters of their craft
I bet the true power of Crazy Talk is that it allows the user to occasionally hit a nail so hard on the head it goes through and pops out the other side.
This always happens when a somewhat different type of game becomes successful, and it's baffling every time. Your potential customers already own and have invested time into a battle royale game, Cliffy, unless yours is better to a significant degree, they're not gonna switch over.
To be fair, from what I've seen, the game does have a fair amount of potential in terms of movement and gunplay, and does look faster paced than the others. Hell, DrDisrespect made some half decent suggestions in terms of mechanics, like getting better movement options as the match goes on, so it "could" set itself apart. Though I'm not confident any of its potential will be realised, and almost all of Mat and Pat's points are on point.
Thats the thing that Im thinking must appeal to the streamers that have picked it up. The game is in its early stages and the devs are clearly desperate. theyre likely more open to listening to them as to how to shape the game. I mean honestly that and them being burned out on the other BR games are the only reasons I can think of for why streamers are so on board with this game
I do actually legitimately enjoy Radical Heights, personally. I think the gunplay feels good, the money mechanic is fun, I like the map grid being different from being a circle, and games are so fast. I actually personally have been playing it over PUBG and Fortnite. It probably won't last, and I hope quick development makes it better quick, so I'll just enjoy it while it lasts. I get why a lot of people were turned off or won't enjoy it, but I've had some genuine fun with it, and will until its likely death.
Battle Royale games are extremely meta in that there are hundreds of them but only the top one or two actually have enough players to start up a game.
@Joel Thiago Yup, I've been using Kaldrostream for months myself =)
@Joel Thiago definitely, I have been watching on kaldrostream for since november myself :)

And they were _still_ wrong about Radical Heights, because it died _immediately!_
In hindsight, Apex is what came out of nowhere and became number 2

Does your lifestyle game determine your deathstyle game
"It'll free to play, it'll die slower" *smash cut to Radical Heights losing 82% of its early access player base in 2 weeks*
*Smash cut of Boss Key closing down*
Woman getting an ultrasound: "Oh I can't wait! Is it a boy or a girl?"
Doctor: "It's dead, ma'am."
Little Anon That's pretty good.
Woman: push it out anyway
Woman: *pushes*
Doctor: oh look its a battle royal
Woman: oh so that's why... It was born to die
I have witnessed Pat be not only right but so GODDAMN RIGHT!! That I wonder what convoluted plot the universe will conspire to make him wrong.
Sometimes something fails so hard, not even Crazytalk can alter the outcome.

Am I the only one who gets CliffyB and Randy Pitchford confused constantly?
has anyone ever seen Randy Pitchford and CliffyB in the same room?
