One day I received a copy of four swords on the gamecube that came bundled with the GBA Link Cable, from that day forward while I played Wind Waker my little brother would play with me using the Tingle Tuner and we would play together for hours on end like that, just wandering around and having a blast together. One of the main reasons for Wario's Woods not being available was its size, obviously as you said, but not necessarily only that. Wario's Woods was the most intensive use of the MMC3 ASIC memory mapper, and I can safely bet that chip was what made WW so hard to work with. The game is already 256k, and beside that you need to accurately emulate an MMU for an emulator, in 2001, on a GBA.

In Europe it released quite late in the GameCube's lifecycle. IIRC they originally didn't think the sales would justify the cost of translating it to multiple European languages, by that time a lot of retailers had stopped stocking GameCube stuff so it wouldn't have been that widely available.
Buying late GameCube games was HARD, I remember having a really tough time trying to get hold of a copy of Resident Evil 4 at release. Kinda funny now considering that game's on more platforms than Skyrim.

There was a game called Amazing Island, you created monsters by drawing on skeletons that would compete in various minigames. The minigames themselves were just okay, but the real draw was the ability to create your own monsters. The game had GBA link support, and you could transfer your monsters into a Pokemon-style card game. You could even transfer the monsters to two GBAs and battle each other through a link cable!

The GameCube version of SpongeBob SquarePants: Revenge of the Flying Dutchman was originally also going to have a link cable feature that would work both with and without the GBA game of the same name.
If you had the GBA game inserted when the link cable was connected to the GameCube, then you would have been able to play a 3D version of the special jellyfishing mini-game that ended up only making it to the handheld counterpart on your TV.
If you had the link cable fully connected, but didn't have a copy of the handheld game inserted in the GBA, then you could have used your Game Boy Advance as a radar for when you went treasure hunting.
Unfortunately, though, due to the very rough production cycle that the console version of ROTFD (which was also being developed for the Playstation 2) went through, the link cable feature was scrapped, though voice clips on how the functionality would have worked are still hiding in the GameCube version's disc files.

There's a video on youtube of four guys playing Four Swords Adventures with five TVs, five Gamecubes, and four link cables. Each GC has a GBA Player attached. If you search "legend of zelda four swords five tvs" it should be the first result. Really cool that those guys were able to put that together. It's worth seeing.

I do remember the windwaker gba add-on. Played at my friends house and he let me have the gba. I naturally kept bombing him while he was sailing. He got mad, and I started using the timed bombs to be a little more inconspicuous. After a bit, he went in the town and you kept hearing bombs in the distance. Good times

I think it's also worth noting that the Tingle Tuner is an integral part of Wind Waker speedruns, as it's used for the zombie hover and some other crucial glitches
On another note, I never owned a GBA link cable growing up (and neither did any of my friends for some reason), but I did have a GameCube GBA Link Cable, so we would trade pokemon by transferring them through Pokemon Colosseum; I remember that a single trade could take like 20 minutes since there were 3 or so transfers that had to be done lol

I freaking loved the GBA Connectivity on the GameCube, my mom got me Sonic Advance because of this, after me playing weeks of the Tiny Chao Garden in SA2B without saving function.
Also Wind Waker got even better with that thing connected to it, and not just those games but also Wario Ware Mega Games and The Sims Busting Out!
Oh and don't forget the GBA works as complete functional controller for the GameBoy Player as well.
Those were the days... yes... truely one of the many aspects that made me enjoy the GC and GBA so much.

That GBA Nights music is my everything. I highly recommend looking up Pokecapn - the guy who did THE Sonic '06 Let's Play - because one of the last CZcams LPs he did was of Four Swords Adventures. He and his buddies had the base game running on a Wii. They also had four GameCubes with Game Boy Players working as their GBAs. And they recorded ALL OF IT. I think they called it the HyperQuad.

You can also play Pokémon Sapphire or Ruby by connecting GBA with Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby with GBA-Gamecube Cable with Gamecube with Pokémon Box game. So you can play Pokémon game on tv screen without GB Player. Easiest way to get Pokémon Box was atleast in europe with Pokémon Colosseum Bundle that had Pokémon Colosseum with Pokémon Box bundled in same game case.

I used to play Windwaker on the HD TV (480p of course), and have the GBA displayed on the bottom Commodore monitor. It was great!

Sort of related, but the WiiWare game "Maboshi's Arcade" had something kinda like this with the DS. Not only was it a crazy unique game in its own right, but you could download one of the three games at a time to your DS (3DS works too) to take with you on the go. You'll miss out on the interactivity the three games had onscreen, but it was still a pretty neat feature, nonetheless.

You can use Tiny Chao garden without a cartridge. This results in instead of sending your Chao to the garden normally, it creates a clone. With this, you can copy your CHao to other save files.
