I finally got an electric unicycle but unlike Escooters you can't just jump on and go. So I set my self a target to be able to ride it properly within one weekend. Despite it raining all of Saturday and a lot of Sunday. So I didn't really get that much time at all. Certainly not 2 full days.

Congrats to your channel. I watch every video you post!! I didn't have any favorite electric vehicle until now (my treadmill??), but I think I will have to get an Electric Unicycle now :) Though you are right, it is way too expensive.

Here in the Netherlands e-scooters are illegal, but these things are not because according to our law they technically aren't "vehicles" because vehicles are described as having 2 or more wheels. Meaning it isn't an electric vehicle. Gotta love these loopholes in the law hahaha
I wish we had a loophole like that. Ut no in england they're classed as wagons and have a weird 1800s law making them illegal 🤦
@@VRCauldron Ohh well that sucks. I was already disappointed that e scoooters are illegal or I might have bought one of those but I'm glad I can ride this thing around without the possibility of it being seized (which they do for e scooters). First you get a big fine and then they seize it
You mastered that pretty quick... Nice! I think i'd go for the unicycle. I have considered a "one wheel" , but i can't justify the price. This on the other hand, i could.
Good to hear Jess is out and about. I assume you guys opted not to get the vaccine... I'm curious about the experience with covid, i ask everyone i can to get an idea about what to expect if we get it. We also, did not opt for the vaccine.

Haha thanks - there's still a few scratches though 😭... When I got it at xmas i wasn't too bad - a few aches and pains. Jess was stuck in bed for 2 weeks finding it hard to breath and you couldn't even tell Will had anythiny wrong at all. Remember you can still get it with the vaccine and plenty still are but hopefully it's helping people get through it. I'd recommend the vaccine if only to be allowed out the house if your family get it.

I've only seen a Segway, the one like in Arrested Development, but I've never use one. They're not common here in my country. But I would say, that's the one I would like to try, while this unicycle looks cool I think I might need the handle... Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work!
Shoulders forward, and hands affront like you have a tray of drinks held in front of you, legs slightly bent, commit to a hopefully long bit of free space at a little speed (slow is harder to balance, a bit like when you’re on a bike or scooter) and you’ll soon get it. It’s the future!
Thanks! Absolutely loving it. I've been going out every night for a 20 minute ride. I feel like I'm better going slow than fast - mostly because this tilts back really early which is damn annoying.
Think I’d stick with something of the 2 wheel variety. Electric bike or a Segway. All you’d need is some American football shoulder pads, duck bill mask and sunglasses and boom your gizmo duck from ducktales for halloween. That would definitely get you some looks. 🤣

i expected that to be easy to learn since ive seen a 4 year old kid driving it with all of his family , the dad had his daugther on his shoulder while driving . They just casualy drive next to me as if it was totaly natural .
Yeah anyone can learn it I reckon. I've been out every night on mine. Looking forward to it becoming totally natural.
I’d like to have a go of one. Preferably in a car park with nobody around to see me fall on my backside! All that beeping would drive me nuts though.

Good dexterity & congrats for learning it in 2 days. That said, learning to mount/dismount & gettin' going does not mean its over I've learnt how to ride. Due to the high percentage for wipes, I'd say it takes a few weeks to get comfy to be able to ride confidently & safely. In my case at least. Have fun
Thanks! Yeah I can go long distances but I'm not always steady and i always feel like my feet need adjusting.
I think the unicycle give really more sensation of freedom, but it's more hard to learn than e-scooter.

Ok, this is definitely my favourite form of e-transport, never actually seen anyone out and about riding one, only a normal unicycle. More tempted to try this than an e-scooter to be honest, looks insanely fun! Like something out of a sci-fi movie.. or video game.. or something..
That's exactly what I thought when I first saw one. So futuristic. Definitely worth trying.
You can freak people out this Halloween, by riding that around done up like a ghost, or something.

I've been riding EUCs for a while now, enough to see some CZcamsrs early on (Black Cobra, Speedy Feet, etc) drastically have their content change because of riding the lifestyle. I think it's for the better and hope you get the hang of it and enjoy the experience! It's changed lives.
Thanks. Yeah i saw some Speedy Feet videos because he reviewed this one I got. It's really amazing and such a different experience to scooters and ebikes. I think part of the feeling is knowing that you had to put work in just to be able to ride it.

I got the same one a few weeks ago! Still not had a chance to take it out of the house yet, but I'm getting good at whizzing around the kitchen :) EUCs are definitely my favourite e-vehicle, nothing else can match the performance and range in such a small package. They are also the most futuristic!

The best form of electronic transportation are piernas. It’s an internally head mounted electric impulse generator that sends the signal to the piernas that make them move. They can get you wherever you need and the best part is, they’re free!

I think you should have rewatched the footage after trying, I'm getting mine tomorrow so I don't even have it yet but I can see you put your feet too far on the outside which gave you wiggle room instead of having it be tight inbetween your legs. You gave me an idea though, if I do as bad as you (just kidding haha) I might just record myself doing it to see what I'm doing wrong

@@VRCauldron Ohh really? Why don't you grip it? It just seems a lot easier when it's gripped tight inbetween your legs, more stable I guess. But maybe I'm wrong cause I haven't tried it much yet

EUC looks fun, escooter is probably the most accessible fun but ebikes will be everywhere soon enough I reckon and are my favourite. Got my A20F on Tuesday based off your review and a few others, one of the updated ones with the new controller though meaning I don't have to use the throttle at the higher power modes(unless I want to of course) and it even came with a little bung for the battery cover. Definitely the way forward with bikes I reckon, sadly my left pedal broke off within the first 5 miles already so see what happens with that.
Sorry to hear about the pedal. They are a bit plasticky but i didn't think they'd break off. The bung is good news. I've never actually charged my battery in the bike as I've covered the hole with tape.
@@VRCauldron It wasn’t the pedal itself, by the looks of it I think it was cross threaded when installed in the crank as it’s just sheared off the thread of both the crank and pedal from about half way in the hole. Luckily the left crank is easier to fix than the right one so should be simple enough to fix.

Favourite form of e transport I've tried would have to be an electric mountain bike. Not currently worth getting one for yow much I'd use it but I live in not quite the middle of nowhere down a country road so it would be the only thing that would be useful on some of the roads and lanes here while also giving me a boost for a short trip to the nearest town once I hit decent ground.

I think it helped a bit at the start but now I'm finding that I don't and let the wheel move back and forth a bit.
Now how to do we integrate something similar with the quest? Now that would be a gadget, although still wouldn't be walking.

Although I don't own one. I think an eletric skateboard would be easier to learn or more stable to use than a unicycle. Also inconspicuous as a electric mode of transport.
Yeah literally it's just the scooter I get paranoid on even though legalities are the same. I haven't ridden a skateboard of any type for ages.

Really happy for you discovering EUC but i hate to see you ripped off, the ninebot range are several years old and wouldent be considered safe by todays standards, if you hit a pothole it will overpower, also the ergonomics of the shell dont allow you to grip the wheel safely , it is perfect for a child if you want to teach your son but i would go for anything with at least a 1500w motor and 1000 wh battery for yourself
Thanks. Ideally I wanted a v8f but the UK prices are ridiculous and I didn't want to wreck a 1k wheel. I'm happy with what I paid considering I got next day delivery (I'm impatient) and uk prices of the v5f which seems like the best starter wheel in this price range were a good £200 more and with slower delivery. I know this one's worse bit Indecided it's not £2-300 worse so I opted for it . I also knew if I loved the euc life I'd be replacing the v5f too and there'd be a chance I'd even grow out of a v8f. I know what you're saying about the wheel grip and I thought that myself before i bought it. Luckily though the red stuff makes it a bit more grippy. I've been looking at possible future purchases. I'm considering around the power/price of a v10f (not for a long time though) what would you recommend?
@@VRCauldron Look for a used Gotway MSX or equivalent motor power for around £800, alot of new wheels are being launched now so many people will be selling after Christmas

Reliable (Ninebot has a very high quality)
It's a true last mile commuter. You can go as fast as a normal calm cyclist.
You do have to anticipate for bad road conditions. Pay attention, look ahead. Avoid potholes or slow down.
Even after many years most of these wheels are still in perfect working order.
Family getting over COVID! Al says to himself: Hey Al, let’s get a motorized segway and see if I can kill myself so the family can take care of me! 😂😂😂😂😂 I’d buy a full Segway if I could afford it but not the unicycle Segway!
