Hello all. I have been dealing with rejection and abandonment issues since I was a little girl, and I am 41. I started my healing journey in 2019, and I can say those two areas have been the hardest for me to bring to a head. I know God sees me trying because I have been getting messages such as this that can only come from and through Him. I'm never giving up on myself because I know healing is my portion. Me too... but what really helped me was to realise that Jesus was even rejected by the Father on the cross (I will never comprehend the pain they felt) so that I can say "Lord You will never leave me nor forsake me." He became rejected in my place by the person He loved the most so we can say, I am accepted in the beloved❤
@kathforbes1724 that's deep and beautiful. I am definitely learning that rejection comes with a blessing if we can learn how to let go of the pain associated with it. It has taken me years to get to this point, and day by day I am understanding the message behind "what the devil meant for bad, God intended it for good to accomplish saving many lives". Bishop Jakes put a video up where he kept saying "it's not about you". I get it. ♥️🙏🏽🥹
I was basically an orphan, made homeless by my own mother but Romans 8 - 14 -17 says "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[f] And by him we cry, “Abba,[g] Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."
In other versions it says we have come into full acceptance by God! Command your flesh to catch up with Gods Word/Will for thine is the kingdom, power and the glory in Christ Jesus Amen! Your new testimony is that you have been loved since before you were in your mothers womb! Whatever false argument your childhood has tried to present to you is a lie and we pull that down now in the name of Jesus. God sent his angels to guard over me like in Psalms 91 just like He is sending you "messages", therefore I encourage you to declare the word and walk strong because your issues have ended xx

Doing self love affirmations daily to transform into a positive self image. Plus taking responsibility for my appearance and changing my lifestyle to be healthier and fit. Need to feel like the prize and worthy of a mans love and loyalty. This has been the area most needing work - to feel worthy.

Rejection hurts more when the person treats you like a complete stranger when you were their lover and best friend. That damages your self esteem even more bc while hurting they are getting by just fine.

I second to a comment. The rejection from a normal breakup is not the same as Narcissistic discard. There is so much trauma from the disrespect, gaslighting, stealing, manipulation, lies and cheating all the emotionally and mental trauma they cause is was the worst experience of heartbreak I had to endure.
This really hit home. You read me like a book. The spirit of rejection is having a debilitating impact on my self-image and confidence.
I isolate myself all the time because I am so fearful of being rejected. I feel like an outcast everywhere I go. I know it’s a lie from the enemy. I’ve got to get out there into the world and walk this out with God.

Oooh…. Bringing me to tears because it’s so true. After being accustomed to rejection so much it is so very easy to fall, succumb or just remove yourself all together from relationships and dating. It’s a pain unlike any other. I thank you pastor for your teachings and guidance- you bring me right back to ground.. out of my feelings and emotions and back to reality mentally and emotionally. I wonder if you'll cover how to heal from rejection coming from our own biological father. My father missed the marks on most areas. I choose to forgivr him. I'm not sure if I'm 100% sure healed from his rejections. For example: I took my biologically father to visit my aunt & uncle, my aunt complimented me how good I looked. But my father interjected "oh no, she's fat!". My uncle came to my rescue. I also stood up to my dad. It was an awkward moment. Yeah, I always forgive him but I stay away to limit any emotional abuse.

Whenever I get depressed over past rejection, I remember Isaiah 54:5 - For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.
Whenever I'm feeling lonely, I always stop and consider all the blessings God has given me. I thank Him that I'm not married to an abusive man, and thank Him for always providing for me and protecting me. Rejection can be protection. If they rejected us, they were not supposed to be in our lives. God has a good plan for all of us.
