Can’t make out why John o hasn’t got more subscribers his content is excellent and informative!! So folks go give him a sub!👍🚛
Hello fellow trucketeer @@TruckerJohno
Luke as a trucker of 40 years i admire your approach...you are using modern devices to plan your day/days to make your job easier and provide a more efficient service to the customer....its called a professional approach and a great work ethic..........keep on trucking 🚚 🚚!
Be good if you could get a camera that you could mount so we can see your reversing manoeuvres, some of them look pretty tricky 👍
Yes I agree would be good!
Cool to know your driving round by me. That’s quite cool! Shame I never saw yah round Plymouth
Totally agree with you Luke I'm the same always like to plan my route and research the delivery site including alternatives in case of traffìc , enjoy you vlogs.😊
Cracking video as always Luke, normally see you in snug yards, now you’re in a very snug Mini, yup need to see you in Johnos MX5!! Keep up the good work and keep safe! 🙂👍🚛
Absolutely. It’ll happen one day 😂. Hopefully I don’t break it getting in! Thanks for watching nick!
Enjoying the content as always. And like how you speak out loud your journey, times and plans. It’s not autism, certainly anxious moments, so your planning makes life easier. Good job lad, keep it up 👍
Know how you feel having after a heavy shift & having car park fog! We used to have parking spaces 'near' the booking hall, & spaces in the lower park which was miles away! Yes, you've guessed walked down to the lower park, forgetting I did get a spec by the bookin hall! Doh!!
I like that 🤣 “your truckin awesome”
Luke goes on about planning etc. When I was on the coaches , I used to plan to the nth degree. You cannot rely on twatnavs. I had a map by my driving seat and a written down route on the dashboard.
The only 1 problem with having a map is no traffic updates, the amount of times I've saved like 45 mins plus by the sat nav redirecting me is unreal
Luke, love the video
But small criticism - theres no G in Honiton 😁
And the Devon truck show was an absolute farce to get in for car drivers
Strap winder, I had a magnetic metal one, only slightly more than £20
Nice one Luke, thanks 👍👍
No problem 👍
I have been able to move and set it back to break and it keeps counting, but guess it depends on distance you move.
Great video Luke really enjoyed stay safe 😊
Thank you! Will do!
The van in Blampayne Timber had started reversing before you got to him, and as usual in circumstances like that someone comin along (you) has to stop and let them reverse out and carry on with their day, what has happened to reversing into a parking space so you can actually see where you`re going or see if it`s safe to pull out, I see this time and time again and after coach driving for 40+ years and now retired with an unblemished driving record I will say the standard of driving in the UK is abysmal and dangerous at times, I`m pleased to say Luke you are a safe driver
Great video luck C. Keep up the good work 👍
Hi luke enjoyed the video keep trucking and stay safe mate
Thanks, you too!
Saw you that morning Luke, you where going up ham hill I was going towards Horton gave you a flash you did acknowledge me with a wave 😊
Haha awesome!
thank you
GRATE STUFF, MIN!
It’s forward planning Luke which is sensible
Another great vlog Luke keep up the great work pal 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Great videos.
I'd just like to make a comment having been a truck driver for about 30 years and having done tramping carrying bricks and blocks as well as shipping containers and wood out of baltic wharf etc.
I've noticed a phenomenon in nearly every truck driver including myself, 'Where we constantly forget what we've done in the morning let alone yesterday or the day before '.
I've listened while truck drivers try to remember their days work as they struggle to recant their day or even their weeks activities.
I'm wondering if, with all the constant attention we have to do in the driving and anticipation of hazards and traffic etc, that our memories are adversely affected and whether this would lead to a permanent affliction as in a medical condition.
I would definitely warn people who want to do truck driving that it is definitely NOT the healthiest occupation for obvious reasons. But realising that so many drivers seem to forget what they did even just a few hours ago can be quite alarming , for me at least.
I'd like to know what other drivers opinions are about this and what your understanding of it is ?
To be honest, I literally couldn’t remember what I was doing earlier when I met someone who I hadn’t seen for awhile. The more I think about it the more I feel it’s gotten worse and longer I’ve done this job. I’m still an amateur I’ve only been driving eight years. yes my memory has definitely gotten worse
@@lukecinahgv
At first I thought it was just me having memory blocks but then I noticed other drivers having difficulty too trying to remember what they've done only hours ago.
But I really became alarmed when I drove through a small town and became disorientated and couldn't remember how I'd got there or actually driving through the place.
My memory in retirement is now terrible.
Perhaps it needs someone to investigate, but I think it went back to normal after having a holiday from driving. I used to go yacht sailing in my holidays.
I stopped driving HGVs soon after because of it and went small van courier driving, still long distance but I felt safer. The pressure caused by Truck Driving sort of creeps up on you without you realising it and it becomes 'Normal' if you don't watch it.
Despite all this, I'm perfectly happy to have done the jobs and experienced the adventures along with the puzzles finding out about proper load restraints and different loads and companies.
From roping and sheeting and heavy chains and stretcher dogs to rachet straps, it's been a huge learning experience.
Remember, you only live once so enjoy it .
@@das5813give me a loan a 500 give you it back in a fortnight 🙈🙈🙈😜
I did 10 years on the HGVs, hanging my keys up was the best thing I did.
When having a break always have a couple of minutes over the time as like you just did you changed mode after 30mins sometimes the taco will say 29mins then its a short break and infringement
Hear this a lot. Down to personal preference I suppose. But in my 7 years or so of driving. It’s never shown as 29
@@lukecinahgv in my 39 years of driving some tacos in some lorries will do this Mercedes are the worst
Maybe you were driving older lorries? I can imagine that being the case. But certainly within the last few years is never been an issue for me personally. I’m not saying it hasn’t happened to you. Just to me, it never has. I’ve always gone on the dot and it’s never been a problem. :)
@@lukecinahgv no new lorrys mate even on our cpc course my firm tells you to take a couple more minutes to be on the safe side in case this happens we also have a new Mercedes unit if you put it on break or poa if you then press your electric window to open window it puts taco back on other work its caught loads of drivers out was only saying about have an extra 2 minutes so you dont get caught out
Yes there cool mate. I’m not disagreeing with you or arguing or anything. Just saying it hasn’t happened to me personally not even once which is why I don’t wait for a minute or two. No harm in teaching it in CPC at all as a safety procedure for me, personally it hasn’t been needed
Nice 👍
That van didn’t look before reversing well done for stopping in time
I'm 6'2" and 160kg myself. The funny thing is I actually do a pretty physical job. I dunno why but I've actually gained weight in the 3 months I've been doing it. Can't all be muscle. I'm sure I was only like 140 at most when I started
Another great video.
Ooooh nice a near 40 min video. 😎
Yea man! Longer than I thought it was going to be

Exactly that mate. Think it comes across as worrying/panicking. I just like to know what to expect. If it takes a 15hr shift, so be it. It’s just nice to know

Good job Luke 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
Thanks mate
Delivered red diesel to that garden centre that you pointed out. Crap delivery
Oh! Yea never been in there. Good to know though
I've always had my drivers take the keys home. The spare was always kept in a locked box in a money vault. Both myself and my boss had access too the vault and the lock box. Just about every night I would either take a truck or car home. Used to rotate them as some sat for months. Cheaper to keep them running than have them sitting. I worked in the fishing industry so we could have a truck sitting for 6 weeks waiting for a catch too come in. Owner driver now and I get to choose what I want to do. Though I mostly take live stock these days.
Luke is Jay still on U Tube not heard from him lately. I enjoy your vlogs.
Luke never stay over night in that honiton service area over night not safe
As soon as you park anywhere, others will join you, as it looks like a good place to park. You were a little apprehensive about parking there, but would have been very comfortable to join another truck. People will be angry with any vehicle with someone sat in it, but strangely, not so angry at empty vehicles. To avoid embarrassment, go stand by the other truck.
Just noticed that your truck has green rotating lights! Did you know that they are for Doctors only???
Yes I did. It’s only illegal to have them on whilst on a public road. Even then, if They were to fine me, it’ll be billed to my company 👍🏻
you passed me on thr M4 the other day i was in the white tanker jetting unit!!!
Was it an amazing experience?
it was indeed@@jasonantigua6825

Nice one mate :)
An off topic question Luke. Recently my Go Expert 7 has been going haywire. The directional triangle comes away from the blue route lane and starts to wonder for ages going all over. I have no idea what the heck is going on. Then it's showing I can take turns into roads that are impossible. My internet connection is solid on the GE7. I did reset the device recently and I've noticed the most recent software update has changed the way the GE7 worked from before. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this from happening again and has anyone here had similar experiences and what did you do ❓ Thank you all.
Try an update mate? See if that helps. I know mine had one recently.

Luke, you're not autistic, you're just like most blokes - we like to plan in advance and to be in control !

Hi Luke. Have you ever thought about becoming a train driver ? Some of the traits you discuss are ideal for becoming a train driver and you'd be home a hell of a lot more !
You know what mate I wouldn’t even know where to start, but yeah that could be quite cool
@@lukecinahgv give us a shout if you ever think about it mate. Good money lots of time off. Lots of ex lorry drivers come over as you guys have the traits they look for. Hi love the vlogs ,just one question whats happened to trucker jay in the uk ,as the vlogs on you tube seems to have dried up
He’s still around. Talk to him daily. Not sure why he hasn’t uploaded.
Come on Max ;-)
Max gets a lot of hate. But he’s one hell of a driver. Said from day one when he joined as a 17 year old that he’d be world champion one day. From day one!
Next young future world champion is definitely Andrea Kimi Antonelli for Mercedes
he gets a lot of hate because he wins everything which makes it a bit boring, at least for non-F1 addicts@@lukecinahgv
Why is this video coming up as “unavailable” quality for me? Everything’s a bit blurry
You’re internet?
No wonder the bus crashed. The driver could barely see through the window.
What does this video have to do with a bus?
That sevice station had hgv sign written on the floor
Luke, it is HONITON & not HONINGTON !
Goes to show minis aren't so mini anymore 😅
They’re definitely bigger than they used to be 😂
Not sure how they can call them Mini's anymore, they should have called it Mini XL.
£35 of your own money?????
That’s like your boss buying you and the family pizza takeaway on Friday!!!!!!
It’s a little bit different for me. I make money on these these videos and when I get the truck washed then features in the video which means I can put it down as tax deductible.
£35 is nothing this video will make 10 times that at least. That’s before the additional revenue like sponsorships and merchandise sales.
Yes, it may come out of my own money, but I’m not missing it and because I can put it down as a taxable outgoing. It means in April at the end of the financial tax year. I end up paying less tax overall because you only pay tax on the profits earned.
Think of it like this, save this video makes £350 20% tax would mean I have to pay £70 tax as the entirety of that £350 would be profit
Now say I spent £35 on a truck wash, £35 from the £350, which would then give you £315, 20% tax and that would be £63
I’ve got a truck wash and saved myself £7 in tax.
I obviously obviously I also spent money on other things which goes down as tax deductible as well to try and get that number as low as possible, meaning I save as much as possible by paying less tax
To you, it looks like £35 coming out my own money . to me, it’s saving money by paying less tax at the end of the financial tax year
It’s the same with upgrading my camera equipment. Say I spend £1000 on cameras. That comes out of my profit, which means I now pay £200 less tax. Either way that £200 is going somewhere either the tax man or benefit me.
Paying to get my truck washed means I don’t have to wash it myself which benefits me
Does that make a bit more sense now?
If you upset someone that is their problem not yours that's life.
Luke what does your reg plate mean?
Luke C’s S Way
It says a lot about your employer if they don't reimburse you the £35 it cost you to wash THEIR wagon. At least you have your CZcams income to fall back on... most other drivers aren't so fortunate.
Yea I put it down as an expense for my business
I was a bus dvr for 35 yrs. I literally abandoned the veh at the fuel point/wash to the shunters after last checks. If we were charged for that service out of our pay packet; Oh oh! Different world.

@lukecinahgv I was sat in a rdc Friday and over heard a few drivers saying that you all have all fallen out etc 🤷🤷
Oh must be true then. The same drivers who claim to be SAS, the ones who were meant to be on that boat ect ect. 😂
Mini are not minis there BMWs
True
Amazed to see how expensive your fuel is, I worked it out to be £179.9 pence per litre. That's at least 20p more than in Dorset. I take it you filled up on a motorway. What a rip off 😮
Something interesting to note: Oreo cookies are an American brand cookies and have been popular for several decades DEFINITELY before I was born and I’ve been on this planet for nearly two decades and a half.
Pitty you dont talk income.
I took income, an awful lot if that, I’m very quite honest about it
I’m on £150 a day driving a truck
I get paid £26 a night out I do on average 2 to 3 nights out a week. So let’s say the lower figure of two nights. That’s £802 a week. Times that by 52 weeks of a year and you get £41,704
I also get paid by social media. I won’t go into specifics, but I get paid more on social media than I do drive a truck. Combined it makes very healthy wage. Hopefully this helps mate
Thanks a million, I suppose without the social media you would be in a bit of a bad spot.
I mean £41k with all that experience doesn't sound good.
I feel like you are worth more and that's not me just trying to make you feel good.
Surely there is work out there that pays north of £50k ??? No nights out.
It's something I've been looking into but with a young family wife wouldn't allow me to stay out.
What sector pays the most in trucking ???
Im a Big fan of the channel but you do make me laugh... "im not in a hurry" but youre way too close to other vehicles? especially considering its wet?
Wondered if its wide angle lens but counting for 2second rule and youre barely one sec to vehicles in front and in the wet, should be four? Ive Learnt a lot from watching your videos. Cheers
I’d say it was the angle.
Wat about ya diet

I find your losing patience with HGV driving, your trying to hide the fact it doesn’t bother you that you do/don’t have to do a night out, but you can clearly tell it does. I think someone has said this before, but even I find your trying to chase when you’re going home and not doing a night out, followed by a comment “It doesn’t bother me if I do a night out” it clearly does you can tell. Your face says it all.
Except I enjoy doing nights out? I also enjoy going home. So that’s why it doesn’t bother me. I’m happy to do either

Why would you use your own money to wash your truck?
Because I make money making content about the truck. Each video makes 10x what a truck wash costs. So to be honest, it doesn’t effect me
Plus it’ll go down as a tax deductible for my CZcams earnings meaning I pay less tax at the end of the year because I made less profit. (You only pay tax on profit).
Either way, I’m loosing some of the money, either the tax man or the wash man.
