Damn Danny Ric? that's just awesome, I'm not the biggest fan of F1 racing but this guy is one of the coolest athletes in the world, you just can't get any cooler than him, it makes me wanna watch F1 just so I can root for him.

It’s hilarious hearing Daniel admit his fears about motorcross, jumps and 250’s, and how his brain can process fear during doing those activities. Yet driving circuits such as Saudi at 300+km/h, millimetres away from walls, he talks about it like “it’s just a job, it’s work”. It really is so strange how the human brain works.

@@jeremiasrios9468 I think it’s 30-40 minutes into the podcast. The whole episode is goated tbh. I wish more Formula 1 drivers would be open to podcasts. But not talk about Formula 1. It’s so refreshing to hear F1 drivers talk 90% about there other interests. Makes ya feel like your listening to someone who’s just like you, and not some elite freak who’s in the 1% of the world who gets to race F1, and to do it competitively at that.

I’ve been close to 200mph on a motorcycle weaving in and out of cars on the freeway (stupid decision) like it’s no problem but riding a dirt bike at 30mph hitting big jumps and triples strikes a different type of fear inside you. I love dirt bikes but hate Motocross for that reason. Can’t compare raw speed to jumps. They are very different

I dont know how I havent come across these podcasts before. Its like Joe rogan of the motorsports world open format great discussions. The Jack Miller podcast was one of the funniest and best interviews Ive seen with him. And to hear a 4 Hr interview with Danny Ric Freaking awesome. Well Done keep it up I dont know how this isnt huge already

I totally agree with Jase's point at 1:41:00 - ALL sports are way more interesting when you know the back stories or something about the athletes, and Drive to Survive really did that for F1. Heaps of my mates who have no real interest in F1 loved the series and started asking me about F1 after watching DTS

Watching this from an F1 direction it was great to see another side of DR, the F1 media mill gets pretty boring. Hes done wonders for F1 expansion, no doubt he is responsible for a lot of its growth, stoked an Aussie got that jersey too.
One thing that stood out for me was the tiptoeing around the elephant in the room. Were 2 years in and still laughing it off (in fear). Its sad to see young free spirited Australians like this. Just know that;
Its OK to discuss how ridiculous the restrictions have been.
Its OK to discuss things outside the medias agenda without fear.

It would be cool for Gypsy Tales to start an annual motocross race for celebs/athletes that are non racers but do ride a bit. Imagine inviting Daniel, Steve Cabarello, Nathan Fletcher, Ken Griffey, LL Cool J, Leeky, etc, You could even pair it up with some golf. You can have retired pros host/coach. Or you can simplify it and challenge celeb riders to race. Do you think you can beat Caballero in a moto?

The majority of people in the U.K. ‘can’ drive manual cars (although this is questionable if you see how some people drive 😂) because we have to pass a manual test to get a licence. I have definitely never crashed a car thankfully 😊
Actually just googled and maybe I’m wrong about the U.K. driving test but everyone I know took a manual test because if you get an automatic test you can only drive an automatic car whereas with a manual licence you can drive either. Wow, my comment is deeply boring 😆
