TooL has never and likely never will âplay to a clickâ but a click certainly does play to Danny Carey and it still gets off its timing as Danny plays on.

Watching this song live was the best concert experience I've ever had. The experience was completely out of this world. The build up, the lightshow, the crowd, it was all just too much for me. I was overwhelmed.

Metal Vault He made 3 mistakes, 2 were during rolls and one was just an added snare. No big deal though, itâs a 99.9% performance. The beauty is in his recovery. You can barely tell because heâs so on point.

that game and my mom had every album from undertow to 10,000 days got me hooked.
10:51 "The right cymbal!" Yeah, you definitely saw this one live cause I marked out at that cymbal hit as well when I first saw it. Watching Danny during that middle section where each of his limbs is paying independently in this vid had given me a whole new appreciation for this song.

I've watched a LOT of reaction videos for this drumcam footage (more than I'd be comfortable admitting, really, it's a sickness), mostly professional drummers. Your reaction at 6:10, for me as a drummer made me tear up. A lot of people wouldnât catch that. Dannyâs timing is special there. A paced melodic line with his right hand, with a slower back beat hi hat over snare with his left in odd meter. What Heâs doing a there is very difficult and what every great drummer tries to attain with limb independence. Itâs like running and walking at the same time. Your reaction was gold. Awesome stuff!!!

One iconic drummer, Professor, late Neil Peart stated that he was in awe of Danny's drumming skills. Danny stated that Neil is one of his influences to become a drummer.
Bewitching? I got this album last year and I was in a trance, tears in my eyes when it was over. This drummer cam is orgasmic, nobeatingaroundthebush, no pun intended... Danny's outta this world!
What slays me is the guy makes it look so fucking easy, effortless. And anyone who just watched what this man pulled off know that to have each hand and foot doing something different at the same time? Holy shit....are you kidding me right now?

There will never be another Danny Carey. Not just a highly accomplished percussionist but an even better musician. Danny's drumming is just as integral to TOOL as any other instrument. You can't really play a TOOL song with just one instrument.
Danny Carey is like 5 drummers enclosed in one body. They ALL are the best and play together.

Just took my 8 year old son to the New Zealand gig at the end of Feb. He was blown away..such an epic gig. Danny has been my favourite drummer since "Hush" was released in 1992.

I found the original video a couple of months ago. I knew of Tool and I appreciated their music. I really, really liked the video and watched it daily for a week or so. Then I saw people's reaction videos, so I started watching them. This has been going on for a while...
This morning, I have watched five reaction videos, all for Mr Carey's performance on "Pneuma". This one has been a refreshing change from drummers and other professionals - it is of straight out fans. As usual, I enjoyed the video, but it has been a real joy to watch a couple of real fans absolutely digging an opportunity to see Danny doing his thing.

keep in mind.....Danny is 59 years old. 20 year old drummers would have trouble just with the physicality of his playing, much less the complexity. He continues to get better and better with every Tool album. He is a true student of his instrument and music continuing to learn and get better all the time. In my opinion, he is the greatest rock drummer I've ever heard. Like he copied and studied guys like Bonham, generations of drummers will study him. Watch interviews with him. Not only is he an amazing musician, he's humble and nice. I had a chance to meet him once in an airport. I swallowed my nerves and said hello to him and he proceeded to have a 5 minute conversation with me like we've been buddies since middle school. Maybe I'm biased, but I've been a TOOL fan for close to 30 years and they never ever stop amazing me. Thanks for reacting to this masterpiece. Feels good to know more people out there are appreciating this great music like I do.

I was interested in drums growing up but I saw Tool for the first time live in 1996 at the age of 16 and watching Danny Carey was the final bit of inspiration I needed to save my money and buy a kit. For me, he is the greatest rock drummer ever which is saying a TON because I grew up listening to Rush.

Thereâs certain people that are able to achieve godlike status with their particular talent, Danny Carey is one of those special people. To be able to play 4 different rhythms with each of your limbs is near on impossible. I canât fathom even being able to play the bass drum whilst focusing on what my hands are doing. Heâs a genius. Glad you guys enjoyed it.

First off, Iâd like to tell you both how much I enjoy watching you. Second, I know Danny. As much as he is the best drummer of our generation, heâs also a great person. His wife is one of the most amazing badass women Iâve been blessed to call friend. I know for a fact that they would want you to react to one of their favorite bands YOB. Tool has taken them on tour many times. They are one of my favorite bands forever. A couple songs to start with would be âBurn the Altarâ , âThe Lie That Is Sinâ , or âMarrowâ. When I first heard pnuema, I knew I loved it! Over time I know this song like that back of my hand & sing it loud & proud.
Watching it live was totally different. Standing 3 layers deep from the stage, close enough to see there facials & witnessing how each individual works as a team & compliment each other's talents to create this piece, was mind blowing.
The whole song I just stood there, smiling from ear to ear with tears streaming down my cheeks & that double base reverberating through my feet & pounding my heart.
Awesome reaction guy's, you brought me back to that moment watching you 2â€.
